happy summer holidays you wouldn't quite think it with this weather would you it's not a nice sunny day but you might be going off to the seaside whether here in the UK or abroad and I just want to talk to you about drowning now I'm sure you know what drowning is drowning is when someone submerged underneath the water they become unconscious and they stop breathing now obviously with those ones we need to do CPR but if you manage to save someone who's actually drowning please make sure they get checked out because even though they are breathing and just right now they might be suffering from the effect of something called secondary drowning and secondary drowning can occur up to 72 hours afterwards so please even though they have been rescued and they appear perfectly fine please make sure they go and get checked out by a medical professional
