with players getting allocated tickets so player family tickets yeah okay it's a good question that is yeah don't a lot of people know this um I don't even think we've spoke about this before know I don't think we have no um the better player you are the more tickets you get no doesn't work like that or if you pul Mullen you get all the tickets we'll come on to that you get the cops done gosh so um every season the beginning of every season the captain will negotiate with somebody from the ticket office or somebody from the club about how many complimentary tickets the squad will get for every single game so normally it's around about 80 or 100 tickets complimentary tickets just for the players yeah so if you've got a 20 man squad for example yeah each player is going to get four or five tickets yeah if you get five you're doing well four is about normal right um but a lot of the games the players won't need tickets so what happens is once you get to about Tuesday Wednesday Thursday you have all the lads going around going do you need your tickets for Saturday yeah I do do you need your tickets for Saturday no I don't I only need two sweet can I have your two yes I can can you tell the captain that I'm having your to were you going straight to the foreign Lads all the foreign Lads all the young Lads all goes through the captain so but the captain is the guy who has to sort it all so he has a big pad of paper or he'll do it on notes on his phone and he'll go have the whole squad list there and he'll go so Ben for example Ben times 4 and then he if I need more he'll delete it and I've gone toes I've got Tom's tickets for Saturday by the way he's giv me two of his tickets all right he'll go cool he'll delete the four he'll put six he'll take two off of Tom so Tom's got two so he knows so on the Friday afternoon this is where Toes has to go and sort all the tickets out into envelopes he'll put six into my envelope Ben Foster on it Ben there your six tickets cheers M thank you very much this is this is a serious thing isn't it oh it's hard work it is so you think about the big boys like seriously big players they're preparing for a Premier League match on the Saturday morning oh yeah this is still going on isn't it how many times we over the years like Ben will be like ratting around trying to get extra tickets oh Saturday morning I'm I'm Saturday morning like I will be on the group The the team group chat so say if I'm at Watford I'll be on the team group chat Saturday morning sometimes not just me other players Lads anybody got two spare tickets this afternoon and then somebody might chime in with yeah I don't need two of mine now cuz they not come into the game so you can have my too sweet then that message will get sent to the captain captain can you put those two tickets that were meant for him into my name please I'm the day of a game honestly you mentioned Paul Mullen earlier as well mes oh my God oh my God cuz he's from Liverpool and he's got a massive family massive massive family he would be getting 20 tickets to every single re I remember re I remember go Rex and I'd be like he looks like pul that must be his brother he looks like he looks like he looks like Paul mull he's got a little Paul Mullen shirt on that must be his son honestly that must be oh bless him like that's brilliant though like the I think everybody at the club knows all of his family all the fans that little area where the it's so nice travel deep the Scout is a great so yeah he would he would have he would be constantly Lads you need to take it you need to take it and he was early doors he was so organized with it he a skill it was on Monday mate Monday in training you for Saturday needs tickets Saturday no do any of that i' ever cuz these tickets are free aren't they from the club to the players complimentary tickets do players ever sell each other tickets oh gosh no not sell to each other no chance and if you got caught trying to sell to punters game over mate you are getting you're in trouble oh weeks wages you'll get weeks W that is that is a no no that is a massive no no and also what you've got to do is we've got a really good story haven't we about the um patty piml patty the baddy oh my God gosh damn it UFC fighter I think the guy great so we it was Liverpool versus Watford at Watford and oh this is um when he got CH got kicked out I got him the tickets as well didn't I so we were chatting away on Instagram yet yet we need Paddy to come in on come on tell his story and tell his version of it um I I I got him four tickets for the game um but and and he's got to sit their Watford tickets at Watford so he has to sit in amongst the Watford fans so I said paty like listen I can get you four tickets but mate you've got to keep it on the down low yeah don't go putting in any in the internet don't go causing a first don't celebrate if Liverpool score anything like that bearing in mind at the time Liverpool top of the league popping we were struggling beat you 5 nil beat us 5 nil moella hatrick every goal went in he's jumping around celebrating well well there's there's a little bit more to it than that right so before the game I've met up with him with my lad and he's with his couple of mates and they were just brilliant lovely lovely BLS really really lovely BLS um and he's distinctive looking right with the haircut all Watford fans photos he must have had 70 photos he was good as gold wasn't he amazing he comes across like he does a lot for mental health he's so good such a nice my lad was thirsty and he gave him his drink it saved us queuing top top L and anyway um we get in stewards come over photos yeah brilliant no problem goal after three minutes probably I think it might have been man I can't remember goal after three minutes him and his mates jump up yeah we're in the family and friends enclosure jump up whatever goal goes in another minute later 2N after five minutes jumps up again not going mental but jumped up Stewart comes over says gonna have to ask you to leave goes um you'll get murdered if you stay in here doing that in the friends and family en been funny Watford about that watford's a lovely family friendly and plus it's Paddy pinet I think he's going to get killed is he let's be honest might put him in a choke hold and put him out three two one clo like bom it might have been even been I don't know for sure but a steward that had a picture with him probably so they knew who he was before the game so then we've got walked down and we're by and I've kind gone down to to kind of see what's going on someone's filming and didn't realize it goes in the athletic P piml D um a choer commercial manager at cycling G was stood looking sheepishly and all this lot and I'm like where are you looking sheepish I don't know how you look sheepish kind of like you're lost sh yeah like lost I don't know what to do do your best sheepish look that's not bad Ben this is riveting so so anyway padd's come out of the ground got kicked out go straight on Instagram thanks fuzzy lad for the tickets I love you but Watford you're crap club and all this I hope you get relegated that's what he said you're a crap club and I hope you all get relegated oh yeah so as soon as a match finishes we get pumped five nil I'm at the Chang of rooms look at my phone and there's a thousand messages there's a thousands of everything um you got tickets for a l you sorted Patty pin and I'm like oh it happens every week oh no um anyway I got a week's fine for that a week's wages yeah I got done a week's wages for that yeah lovely so p p you need to come 150 grand grand you owe me pad you're at least owe him appearance on the fast that's a batty all right
