filled car and ran, but officers quickly able to track them down. Favorable weather conditions are helping firefighters gain ground on three wildfires. Containment lines are slowly increasing around the airport fire, which has burned more than 23,000 acres. Containment is now up to 9% containment, also rising on the line fire to 25%. It scorched some 38,000 acres. Then there is the stubborn Ridge Fire. It is the largest in California at more than 52,000 acres. Remains just 3% contained. Fox 11 weather, sponsored by Pechanga Resort Casino. Good to hear about progress on all of those. Okay, this is your first Friday night with us. And every Friday there's a bit of a tradition around here where I asked our meteorologists, can I go to the beach this weekend? Oh, definitely. Do we have beach weather this weekend? Here's the only thing, though, and it's more so Sunday. There could be a little drizzle along the coast and even inland a bit as well. So early on maybe you want to sleep in a little bit and then get out there later on. What a change. Yeah, one week ago I think it was 112 degrees. That was that Friday we had. It was insane. And today it was a high of 80. So that's a big change for sure. And more of these cooler temperatures will be on the way. We have a view right here of a time lapse of the sun going down that's from LAX. Beautiful end to our workweek with the welcome temperatures that have cooled off, that's for sure. Now there is still an air quality alert in effect because of the fires we have burning. Obviously, the main three we've been talking about, that air quality alert continues into tomorrow for all areas in gray. Doesn't mean the air quality is going to be dangerous to be outside, but it's going to be reduced a little bit. So moderate air quality is possible. I want to show you the smoke forecast here as we start tonight, going into tomorrow. Not that we have anything real dense for a lot of the area, of course, closer to where the fires actually are. The air might be a little bit worse, but just more of this lingering kind of mild smoke in the atmosphere. A lot of yellow dots on the current air quality, indicating that moderate air quality right now in some spots barely into the unhealthy range near some of the mountains and again, near some of those fires. Right now on our weather headlines, we've got a nice Saturday ahead. There will be less of the marine layer in play in the morning, but still will notice it. It does get deeper as we head into Sunday. That's going to bring some drizzle, possibly for the first half of the day. And then Monday is the day when our storm system heads in here brings our temps down even more, and brings maybe even a few scattered showers by Monday. High temperatures over the course of this month. This is what I was talking about one week ago. On Friday it was 112 degrees. This Friday we had a high of 80, so that was below normal for the third day in a row. Our high temperatures tomorrow will be a lot like what we saw today, maybe even down a couple of degrees. LA inland OC looking at upper 70s notice the desert seeing some 90s but most spots 70s a couple areas in the 80s. Right now on futurecast here we see that marine layer building in tomorrow morning. But I want to take you into Sunday morning. Now this is when it deepens up so it gets even farther inland into the Inland Empire. And these little bits of green here and there just indicating some possible patchy fog and drizzle through the first part of the day clears out in the afternoon and then Monday we could see some showers sweeping through. Kind of went through real quick right there. But it's because of this low that's dropping down the West Coast for Monday that will exit. And there's actually another one coming in sometime around Thursday of next week, which is going to reinforce the cooler air that I think most of us are enjoying. You know, if you're going to the beach, you do like it kind of warm, I suppose, but we had enough of that heat earlier this month. All right. So our seven day forecast here at the coast, those temps going down a little bit for LA inland OC. We're dropping to about 70 for the high temperature on Monday. Notice that chance for a few showers. I think that chance is best during the morning hours on Monday. Those temperatures stay on the lower side for most of next week. Same thing for valleys Inland Empire. We've got a more drastic drop in the temps on these seven
