ladies and gentlemen the national anthem of netherlands [Music] london give it up for your world championship [Applause] oh big hug for lucetta and marina product those two competitors know each other so well [Music] [Applause] final race of the night is on its way list it's gonna be a very fast one it's very exciting it's a new event to the program to expect records to fly [Music] i'm so excited so many quick swimmers across the pool [Music] it is the mix four by one freestyle relay for the s14 swimmers and here comes great britain in lane seven what a team it is as well tom hamer former freestyle world record holder bethany firth performs three-star world record holder jessica jane handful game multiple paralympic champion and rhys dunn current 100 meter freestyle world champion in a brand new world record time they are going to take some stopping from russia in lane two i've got a fantastic team of their own michael cooley avid theatre slather mini answer valeria shabalina and he's the best of barbatina on the anchor for brazil a really decent team for themselves andre bento de silva and oliveira deborah carolina and carneiro i should say and felipe very out hong kong lineup in lane three tangwei lock wong hong yin [Music] [Music] [Applause] and here come the aussies ricky beta taylor corey ruby storm and liam schluter so much talent across the pool the current world record was set by japan in singapore back in may at the world series it stands at four zero two zero three i have a feeling that might go tonight i have a feeling that you might be right you start this then in the mix four by one freestyle relay s14 final russia hong kong australia japan brazil great britain [Applause] tom hayner leads the british team out silver medal in 103 earlier on this week earlier on this week 15 year old from australia here we go well this is gonna prove to be an exciting event this classification has never had relays before in major championships programs the the team to beat are great britain they have a commonwealth game champion a current paralympic games champion the former paralympic games champion and the current world record holder as their loaded team the interesting thing of course is that the s4 teams don't swim 100 meter freestyle in the paralympic program or the world championship program in individual events so it's an element of the unknown and here we see going very well for australia it is ricky peter in lane four of that yellow cap but here comes thomas hamer of great britain he's trying to charge back and he will hand over to bethany firth the current paralympic champion in the 200 meter freestyle so we know that she's got good speed she's in great form and the question is who has got the most depth in other relays in the paralympic program countries are often limited to the number of points they're allowed to use the good thing about this is you don't need to worry about a combination every swimmer in the pool that you will see in this race is in the same classification they are an s14 so the tactics involved are where do you put your males and where do you put your females because there's two men and two women from each country in each team it looks like great britain are going to give dunn a target to chase russia lead the way in lane two they front loaded with mikhail kulihabin and beatrice lava milian said they will lead the way and they hand the lead over to the great valeria chavelina who's been on the podium so many times in the s14 classification this week she will hand over to elizabeth and the question for great britain the pre-race favorites is can they give a chaseable target for rhys done on the anchor jessica jane applegate loves her freestyle so strong so powerful she has to get great britain in a comfortable position here with a chance to pull it back on the final leg going well in lane three that is hong kong suki going really well on the third leg but jessica jane applegate gets great britain back into it they are now in second place she's swimming a brilliant leg here is jessica change and they're coming up to the anchor and here comes elizabeth tina of russia and the world record holder over 200 meters reece stunt of great britain in opposite sides of the pool they might not know where each other are well reese then just took a look over to the far side he wanted to know how much he has to capture this is where we see this is where relays get excited it comes down to the technique and look at that leg kick rested 200 freestyle but he is a brilliant 100 freestyler as well here he goes this is so exciting can russia hold on that's not a leg kick that's a propeller goodness me he is flying he's gonna have to keep the pace up he's still chasing the lead with 50 meters to go it's still quite a big one for barbara tina and for russia but here comes reston and the noise inside the aquatic center is reaching ripped to scale levels he now leads into the final 15 meters great britain have tied it to perfection it's gonna be a huge time it's a gold medal for great britain a massive new world record what a moment that is they've overturned the lead from russia australia are gonna pick up the bronze just in front of brazil but reese got what an anchor well we said it was gonna be down to the tactics russia front loaded their team they did what they needed to do to give themselves the best chance but there we see we done bringing the great britain team home they sandwiched their females between their two world leading males and it paid off and made for an incredibly exciting finale today for well the thing is with rhys stern with with a lot of s14 swimmers is they obviously struggle with the mental side of swimming paris done there that was super simple go as fast as you possibly can to the maximum for a hundred meters leave nothing in the tank he started like a train the amount of splash coming up from his legs in the early going i thought he was almost going too hard at one point but what an effort from him to pull that back he was a long long way back absolutely and if those results are confirmed the top six teams so that is every single one of them went under the old world record so we just goes to show how this event is going to continue to develop into tokyo yeah absolutely incredible it's such a quick time for me it splits you in a minute unbelievable [Applause] took only the best of arbor tina over round about the 20 meters to go mark and it was a real possibility he might have gassed himself out he went so so quickly and in fact the cheer you hear in the venue is from the brazilians because the official results have just been confirmed and russia have been disqualified which promotes brazil onto the podium and look what it means to the brazilian team they've got absolutely crazy inside the venue the whole squad of brazil up on their feet in the gallery away to our right there's tears on the pool side for the teammates themselves wow drama right till the end those are the official results world record for great britain 3 42 21 the entire pool was inside the old work old world record held by japan australia pick up silver and brazil an american record sign will pick up a bronze medal following the disqualification of the russian team well what a night another night another range of emotions this world championships just continue to deliver yeah it really really does amazing freestyle relay to finish absolutely amazing relay to finish it it's always so much fun at relay for us spectators i have a feeling for the swimmers themselves it is fun to swim in as well that team element is something you don't get an awful lot in swimming it is such an individual sport but you get that camaraderie you get that teamwork element of it with a relay it's very exciting you can see everyone always loves to be included in that relay team everyone loves the relay [Applause] winner of the bronze medal representing people's republic of china becomes the middle presentation of the men's 400 freestyle s8 really good race this one nikolayev the russian flew out of the blocks [Music] went out so so quickly and the big question was is woody out putting out doing himself in a sense of china some points during that race robert griswold of the usa gets a silver medal he went pretty close as well to catching nikolayev towards
