while the courts weigh in. Time now 517, and we want to get a check of the forecast. I mean, Scott, we've got rain chances in the seven day, so everybody's kind of perking up to this forecast. >> It's great. I know it's not a great timing for your holiday weekend plans. Maybe you're thinking go out to the lake one more time or a nice pool party. You know, just think of a plan B because it looks like our rain chances go up for the holiday weekend. Now it's going to be humid until we get there, because that moisture content coming up for us as we have this tropical low that's been making its way onshore down to the south. So you're going to feel it through the day ahead. Today's rain chance 20%. Same story Wednesday to Thursday. But then Friday, Saturday, then into Sunday, going up to 40 to 50% chances. And at least that's my thinking for right now. If that changes, of course we'll let you know. But I'm alerting you to the fact that we have showers and storm chances in the forecast. Better shower and storm chances going into Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You see that on the first alert, futurecast. Here we are Friday. More widespread rain on the way going into Saturday. Still some more widespread rain on the way. Maybe a couple of isolated storms. Same story going into Sunday and then into Monday. More of that widespread rain. I think a front moves in, then it stalls out. So as it stalls out, we're not going to be seeing a lot of that forward movement or moving through. So that's that lifting mechanism for any more rain to develop. So this is what's different from yesterday. You can see over the next seven days some areas possibly picking up near an inch to an inch and a half of rain. A lot of us maybe not seeing that much. But here is your holiday weekend forecast for Labor Day. Yes. Shower and storm chances 40 to 50% Sunday into Monday for Labor Day. High temperature of only 88 on Labor Day. Right now at 518. Almost 519. We are quiet on the first alert. Satellite and radar combined. Clear skies at DFW caught winds being reported 78 degrees. Feels like 80. The dew point is at 70. I expect the dew points today to remain in the upper 60s to the low 70s. So you're going to feel that humidity. A lot of the sensors not working this morning. Just want to keep pointing that out to you. We're at 73 in Denton to 75 in Terrell to 80 in Dallas. Feels like temperatures again 83 in Dallas to 80 in Fort Worth. That will change later today. So through the morning hours we're up to 85 degrees by the time we get to near ten. Highs today about 95 to 96 degrees. So a lot of this very close to the average high temperature for this time of the year. But it will feel like 100 to 102. And then tomorrow it's going to feel closer towards maybe 104 in some spots. So that's that little change that's on the way. But look at the big change on the way. Temperatures cooling down. 88 Monday for Labor Day. This forecast model is trying to say only 84 on Tuesday. That's a break in this heat that we've seen. And right now I don't have any 100 degree days in my extended forecast. So the first alert seven day forecast shows those rain chances really increasing. We do need the rain. I know the timing is not great, but stay weather aware right now. Don't anticipate any severe
