well Anna three games three wins how much does that one mean your first win here uh all of them mean a lot because the first one was my first game as a Liverpool manager the second one was my first home game and this is the first uh big win I think if you want to call it like this so all of them mean a lot to me what would be your assessment of of where it went wrong today compliment for Liverpool and for the players how they finish and score great goals it's quite simple I think we were in the game I think it was equal level head to head till half an hour and then yeah we make two big mistakes you made a change at halftime casemiro came off was that anything to do with an injury or was that purely to change things up you know when you are two no down against Liverpool their quality is um they are very Dynamic especially in Midfield area so we brought someone on with legs that was Toby K and the change you made in the second half it didn't go down well with the crowd how would you explain that to the United fans why you made the change you did I think it's a good question from you because um first start from Z first start from kacho and yeah then you decide to bring players on uh uh who has can have an impact Dio he deserved it he can have an impact but then bring a player off who is not used to 90 minutes just a word about your your forward line Le Diaz gets two mosalah makes two then scores one it seems as if you've inherited this group of players it's it's it's like the greatest riches any manager could inherit I would emphasize today more on the work rate without the ball from these three and from our three midfields that kept on running kept on running and kept on arriving in the jewels so that was for me very very good to see that Deo do this today I'm tempted to ask what's changed because on the face of it not a lot I think we look a bit more secure defensively I think we' been a lot more controlled to our game today um you know obviously 3-0 and yeah it could have been more the clean Sheet's massive for us you know when you come away to your Rivals like man united then it's so important to keep a clean sheet and that's what the maner said before the game you know the first objective today is to keep the clean sheet and then we've got the quality on the pitch to score goals and I think we proved that that day have gone much better for you no no I don't I think uh everything which you want to see as a manager you saw in this game so there were difficult moments for us I think United started really well conceded one of two Corner kicks in in that moment but we fought oursel through those moments then we got a disallowed goal but there was no negative reaction at all we just kept on playing afterwards scoring three could have scored more uh two important saes from Ali in the second half so everything was there and maybe the one was was most important is the work rate was incredible by all of them uh without the ball and that uh that makes it as a very positive day today yeah I um first three games nine points no goals allowed which is the thing you're most proud of look uh I I normally don't use the word proud but um what what I think we did very well in all three games is like I just mentioned is the work rate without the ball so uh we try to press the opponent as high as we can but if they play through or overall press I see um Everybody working really hard to make sure we don't need Alli and some s we do and then it's a good thing that we have a real good goalkeeper what impressed me most today was our U the way we played with the ball because I know what we can do without the ball uh but the way we played with the ball was I think also uh very good today let's go on most Sal his post match interview with Sky said this is the final year of his contract no one from the club has talked to about New Deal how difficult would it be to replace a player of his quality if indeed it is the final year yeah it's a lot of if uh um but um at this moment he's one of ours and I'm really really happy with with him being one of ours and he plays really well so um we I don't talk about contracts um from players but I can talk for hours about how Mo played today but are you interested in that so uh he was impressive like the first two games as well but if we talk about an individual you don't do justice to all the other ones because I think today you saw a real good team performance uh playing out from the back high press midfields that keep on running so of course all the attention goes out to Mo and to Lucho um but that doesn't do justice to the other nine and the ones that came in AR in what was your biggest game so far you've had your biggest win in simple terms is that something to do with time is it the occasion or what what may be brought out more I'm not 100% sure if all the people in in the Netherlands agree with you my biggest game because fin out Ajax is also a quite big game but I think people all over the world see this as a bigger game than then final a so it was special to be involved in this game and it's only special if you win it and that's what we did so uh really pleased that we wanted but maybe even more with the way how we did it today an you your Midfield three were absolutely superb today Ryan Ryan especially overwhelming United did you feel that was area of the pitch where you could really really hurt them uh with the ball we fought yeah when we had ball possession we were hoping that we could find every time one of our midfielders open or threee but again also these three played a very good game I agree with you but they need their center backs to play the ball through the lines they need the center backs to be close to them for the moments that they are not cannot arrive that them was IU there fil was there fil every time stepped into the Midfield defensively also and um like like I said it was a team performance and you know me a bit now it's always about the team and then the individual can show himself and I think all all 11 of them and the ones that came in played a very good game but that's no coincidence because the team played really well James pleas there's OB been a lot of talk around the holding Midfield position you went for mendi then didn't go for an alternative what what is it you've seen in Ryan that convinced you he can he can kind of be that that figure in that drove the team on today um his quality on the ball could be my first answer but I think coming from the Netherlands we all know how good he is with the ball uh so he can be a really important player for our buildup game but what impressed me most when I started working with him how much he can run and then how still how good he is when he arrives in the Jewel and today you saw with him Dominic and uh and Maka how much they were able to keep on running because sometimes you're late but then they just kept on running and arriving in the jewel so that is the one thing that impressed me most about him how good he also is without the ball again only three game playes only games on from Saturday to Sunday or Sunday to Sunday so there's still lot for us to prove if you're going to play Champions League because I'm not don't want to be the one that spoils everything but two years ago was the last season that we played champions league and we all know how that season ended so uh there's a lot to prove for us if we play the difficult games in Champions League and and still be good during the weekends last one D um AR clean sheets were initially for Liverpool last season you've got three from three in the first three games what defensively do you feel you've done um I don't think that much difference so um you are used to uh if you follow Liverpool for a longer time you used to them pressing really high and that's what we try to do now as well and um yeah like I said three games played the first two with ipswitch and brenford um were were difficult opponents let that be clear uh but I said before I I'm not expecting them to end up in the top nine today we played with United a very good team with a lot of quality so it impressed me that we could keep a clean sheet although today we also needed a goalkeeper in two moments so um Good Start let that be clear but still a lot to prove thank youone Eric uh there's pictures of casemiro leaving the ground which have been reported as he left it half time could you just clarify why you took him off and when he left the state I can I met him after the game in the dressing room so he didn't leave the stadium at half time so and yeah why I sub him that was because we are to know down and against the opponent as Liverpool with them qualities they are very good um when you we had to take risk because we want to bounce back then you need players in the Midfield who can cover ground therefore we brought Toby KY on the pits are you concerned Casmir is in Decline I think 11 months ago you took him off at half time against brenford you dropped him for the FA Cup final he he looks a shadow of the play was in the first season here so I I think that um if football everyone has to take responsibility and I'm sure he's a great character and he wanton everything in his career what you can imagine and I'm sure he will uh keep contributing to our team and uh casimiro is always winning so he will be there no is there any frustration at all that I here in your third season now we're still talking about Miss chances um goals coming in in quick succession or chances coming in quick succession um defensive lapses that after so long with these players you're still having to answer the same questions no so be we will we will see uh we just third game in the season again we have to build a new team I explained this uh for so many times also on um on the Friday in the press conference we will build this new team we have young players uh also we have now players to build in in the season today we had I think two players three players first start of the season and they didn't play 90 minutes uh we will be fine but it's clear we have to improve but in the end of the season I'm quite confident again we will um uh we will have a big chance to lift another trophy anym appreciate the he came in on Deadline day but how much of a difference do you feel he will make um when he eventually plays and is there a concern that you maybe should have tried to get him or got him early in the window uh so there's this this is another one we have to build him in the team and it build take time and um so it's not like I'm Harry Potter and to and to that is what you have to acknowledge and if you see Manu AATA he didn't play uh so far in the season not one match minute and so yeah he need uh to build his Fitness State and then we have to build him in a team and then I'm sure he will contribute to our level and he will be an important player but that will take a couple of weeks maybe even months and that I think counts for more players also for instance Jo C he made big steps the last 3 four weeks uh I'm very pleased with his performance today uh but I didn't expect this four weeks ago you can take from today what any positives you can take from today I don't want to talk about positives today and there are but I don't want to talk about this we have to take this this defeat it hurts it hurts for for us especially for our fans so we have to be humble we have to give the compliments to Liverpool and we have to to more yeah hi er um I appreciate what you say about players and players needing time to bet in that's undisputably true the mistakes that your team made today the mistakes that they've been making for two years and What Makes You confident that it's players that are the problem I'm not your coaching so what do you mean tell me then explain me maybe you can explain me which mistakes we make reg IR regular well constantly turning the ball in your own half playing the ball out from the back getting moved chances come on the back of it cam attacks when you're outnumbered giving up giving up endless chances in your own stadium against the team's biggest Rivals the greatest respect seen that for so long you are sure absolutely I don't think otherwise you wouldn't win trophies as we did and to beat big opponents so I'm sorry for you I have an I have an a fish would the respect against City in that final you almost has to cage in the semi-final I come on let's have a realistic view of what happened I think we won after City the most trophies in English football so I I'm sorry for you give another one question last question James um just following on from Rob's point about when you concede you often concede again quite quickly um when he came in obviously he said you inherited obviously a lot of problems this this team today is looking very much like your teams six of your new signings uh there's three three obviously Academy players with two of whom G after in M You' obviously promoted do do you is there a concern that once you can seeed one you're very very vulnerable again in the next five to 10 minutes it's difficult to say because I this is the third game in the season and we had to foam with had a clean sheet uh against Brighton we bounced back we didn't concede so quickly we concede in stoppage time from a set play so yeah I can't see I can't see a pattern for this now in the season okay thank you well there's an awful lot to dissect with you both after that starting with the goals because Manchester United as Eric tenh alluded to were their own worst enemies yeah I mean it was it was a bit of a shocker he sort of dressed it up after the game saying half an hour we were good they were okay for half an hour but then two massive mistakes I think from Camero and and and got dragged at halftime he gave the ball away 13 times in the in the first half alone Camero and we'll have a look at him here Mark I mean we know what he's done in his career but it just looked he was he was Miles off of today and he's in a good position for a number six of course and you see he comes back to him here now you know he's got options what does he do can he go to the can he go to to the right back take a touch to Mai D's really high up as a left back as well the last thing he can do is take this first time he can take a touch he's got more time he thinks now Manchester United buying in trouble look at this numbers going for three three Defenders and of course five attackers this is at home to one of you know the form teams of of the Premier League and of course they're queued up at the back post brilliant ball from Salah and Diaz comes in off the wing and it's a it's a fantastic header and I'm afraid it's casamero again you know he's had such a bad day at the office again you talk about the Press you know arnest lot talks about his press Diaz presses from the front he Nicks the ball of casamero and and again it's it's it's pure from him he should get it away to maybe xeri and away and I look at Martinez here as a center half sees Diaz once he has another look at him again Mark twice now he should be man to man inside the Box you know space doesn't score goals but players do I think he's got to lock on to De and Frank the third go is very similar yeah I think some things are individual errors I think those two particularly but I think when you look at just a structural problem with Manchester United kobby m is receiving his ball he's back to goal six players already beyond the ball so he's got to try and wriggle and he can't and all of a sudden within a second you're four against two and you're trying to recover and against the team where that's one of Liverpool strengths always has been how quickly they they execute those kind of counter attacks they just left it open and then this kind of summed up really the the game for them in terms of this is straight away on the kickoff and then you make that mistake now without getting too individual about it I think that's probably as much of a mental issue at that point where you've just conceded you know that you're conceding in the dangerous moments you have to play the safer pass to go back or take another option and that's summed up where Manchester United were in that period of the game and after that the game was done is it's interesting that you use the word structural when when you talked about the third goal and where M it was compared to everybody else because when you compare and contrast that to Liverpool's Midfield today you have seen structure in in every phase of play really yeah well I think Andy Robertson alluded to it then in terms of looking safer defensively more secure defensively and you want to control games and you want to be more secure a lot of that comes from the center of the pitch and how you set up now we saw K Manu looking like he didn't have any options whereas the balance in Liverpool's Midfield today was completely different and they've talked a lot about buying a a top class number six but the way they play today they don't necessarily need that because of their setup so you have mallister and grain bur but those sort of two next to each other as two sixes and sis took up this position higher on the left hand side you see he's in aces of space there if he chooses to take that pass and now very quickly through playing very well through the Lions they're going six against four against Manchester United and they're in big trouble and we know when they have that quality we know Liverpool have been capable of this for for many years playing through teams at PACE but they seemed a bit more balanced to their Midfield today than what sometimes Liverpool may have had previously where there was a lot of rotations and a lot of different movements here you generally see there the two players behind the ball sub is like behind the Midfield giving them an issue and when you have those two players and those connections and the distances are always good they rotate off each other have a good understanding of each other but if they were to turn the ball over any of these moments those two midfielders are always backing up play so it's it's smart players Dynamic players as the manager said there there was a lot of energy in their game but you see again here one can receive those two are close together so Lam makes a run just wiping up the space and what you want to do with these things when you change play is get your your Best Wingers 1 V one with Defender so I thought the balance was fantastic we very happy the small tweaks very smart I think from the manager there he's come into a machine of a team with a lot of talent and a dynamic style and there's a small change that you think leads you into seeing what you see there and and I think it was interesting today as well because a lot of people have been talking about the different style more passes more buildup we see that in the first two games here against ipswitch and brenford where they've had bigger control of a game but they come up against what you might see as potentially more difficult opponent Old Trafford today and I think their decision was made to go okay we're going to have that structure but when we can play through when we can miss out that press from Manchester United play through them because you can play through Manchester United when they play like they did today and they found a really good way of doing it without losing balance to the team Ju Just on that Midfield again and shos playing a role very similar to to the one that you played but but from you as a midfielder and from you as a as a coach will that will that have taken virtually ever since slot got there to work on that and that and how much is it coaching how much is it individual well it's both I think you need good players and you need players of intelligence um and attributes and as he talked about their energy to be able to make the movements and to continuously do so through a game of that level so I think it's both it obviously helps having good players with a good understanding and they've been well coached not let's not forget what the the previous manager done over a long period of time so those tweaks would have been done on a training ground and then you obviously need the players to take on information and also react to a game you know when you are saying we can be a little bit flexible within a certain structure you're understanding that if mallister and I'm sure it will happen where he will just want to you know he will see a moment to release himself then it's up to the other midfielders to balance off that Manchester United's Midfield has been an issue for a long time it's been an issue ever since Eric tenh hared and wanted to sign Frankie deong didn't get Frankie dong right they've tried again with their Midfield this summer do do the hierarchy need to take some blame here in that the man that they've chased all summer apparently in agarte arrives on line day can't be registered and he's waving at the fans rather than playing in front of them I mean it's not all on 10 hog this is it no it's not on T hog but you look at the you look at the squad to you look at the bench even you make changes the the bench is is is way for thin they made a lot of investment this guy should be starting today he definitely should be and again you speak you know Dan ashford's got in there Jason wilock they are people above but have they come in too late should this been done who do you blame you blame ten hag do you blame the poers of be above but at the same time the Jim red was there as well you know all them people the you know the hierarch the directors all when they're watching that today 3 nil was was it could have been a lot worse Andre Roberton said after the game you know 3 n was was was was respectable score line for Man United because it could have been four five6 they had so many chances but AAR should should be should have been registered you said they chasing them all summer he should been he should have been playing today the the other the other contrast as well between the two teams you know the clips you show of of Liverpool is every time they get the ball in the final third it was slick and the passes went to who they were intended to and you again you go back and contrast that to Manchester United in the final third yeah well I think when you have balance within your team we're just talking about Liverpool there then then I think it's much easier to sort of construct attacks with Manchester United a lot of their attack and they have been for a while very quick and fastpaced their moments that happen and they've got fast players and talented players at the top end of the pitch but when you attack quickly it's sometimes hard to follow up play when you're not structured patterns of play don't matter so much in these moments they're off the cuff and xerx as you see there is a supposedly number nine slightly a false nine who's not falling up place you'll struggle to score goals if it's like that and again when you see here they had a few moments you go okay that's just a bad decision from gach and now we're early season and he's a good young player young players will make those sort of mistakes but this with Anana here can we make handles can you support him M field to play that's the lack of connection through the team there even though he's getting a clap it's it's a it's a bad connection yeah it's frustrating suppos because they have got the players like Bruno's probably one of their best players and today was I know miles off again he's got options here gacho's right I think it's the easy option but I think Bruno Fernandez is easy enough to play that through the middle for xeri he's through in a 1 V one situation again it's the wrong choice in the final third and it's I don't know rashford you know go through the team Mark to be honest rash slow down I don't I don't know it's just you're probably right the word rushed everything seems to be rushed the top teams you see Liverpool great examples Frankl before everything seems to be calm in the final third all them sort of Snippets we shown in man united it's always rushed it's always like you know the one you show with gacho and xeri should be arriving into the box like I know ten Hai with well I think I don't know him that well but I think he should be doing of play on a daily basis xeri should be arriving onto that and Sir gacha does a blind pass into that space he's miles off it is it a harsh an unfair question to ask if Liverpool look like they have more of a plan under slot after three games than United do under 10 hard going into his third year is that is that harsh and unfair I don't think it's harsh at all you know you know I think the questions will be asked big time over the next couple of weeks International break now he's got a twoe break there'll be lots of questions I I know there's a lot of man united fans are really angry with that performance with the result and as you say it's not like he's just come through the door like slot he's been there for three years I think slot has inherited a better team and better individual and a better player Liverpool are a better team than manchest I don't think too many people would disagree with that so T hog himself has said that yeah he spent a lot of money as well well he has and and and in terms of Recruitment and big sigs and big players there are some that have really not come off for them and as a manager and I've been in that seat you understand that he'll be going well if my you know I need players to be able to play if I want more more control of a game I need to have midi if I want to be a more of a pressing machine as a team I need energy in my team I need center backs that can cover there are so many parts to so he will have his reasons for that so I've got sympathy for that but the problem is when you look at that and it's it's a well spoken thing about Manchester United is that you don't quite know what they are what sort of team they are with Liverpool and the top team you gener now and that's that's a real um there's a lot to that you have to recruit War you have to be a line as a club of a manager of an idea can we help him and back him and that's what's been missing there's a bigger picture than just pointing a finger at the manager but I think when you do look at some of those tactical details there when they're repetitive you go you got to find a solution because that is your job all right he talks about humility he talks about accepting the fact that they were second best against Liverpool today and he says Jud just at the end of the season we will win trophies still Gary you can't escape the fact this is a massive thump on the nose for Manchester United today yeah it was a bad one I mean when the Stadium's got about 20,000 fans left in at the end in a major game like this then basically it's as bad as it can be and you're 3-0 down I think the impact of taking Casmir off will reverberate around the dressing room because he's one of the leaders just like the Harry MaGuire situation with have done a year and a half ago when someone in your dressing room that's important to the group and has got a voice obviously get gets hooked at half time like that and he's made two mistakes it has a big impact but it's been a really challenging time for Manchester United for 10 years whether you're Anthony 80 million Winger Di Maria an 80 million pound Winger sanela's just left this week whether it's Marcus rashford is a y that's coming through the ranks who's struggling in the second half and the fans are on to him it's really difficult and managers have struggled not just Eric tenh every manager that's come to this club has struggled and there is a feeling today of are we going to go through the same thing again but I think it's a time for a bit of calm it's an international break which is probably well needed for United But Eric Tag's going to have to get the club into a position sort of challenging for Champions League towards Christmas Ro he is going to be in trouble he knows that you know he's been influenced to change his team his staff in the summer he's brought two new coaches in that is not always ideal as well so there's a new message in coming in even though he's been here for two years there's new technical directors CEOs there's a lot of change at the club there are a lot of staff that have been here a long time that are leaving as well so look there was going to be some pain along the way of actually if you like interfering with the Glazer ownership we're seeing that pain right here today it's not going to change quickly it's a sobering day for United but one that I think does requires some calm because we want a change of ownership and we've got that and there is some things happening and we have to let it settle in and bed in so you're calling for time and patience quite rightly um we're only three games into a new season but I suppose the question is when could this get difficult for Eric tenh in particular particularly given the fact that they finished eighth last season and lost 14 games last season that is well the last week's been different it's not it's not a clean slate in that sense no absolutely not um again finishing eight and the amount of games they lost last year obviously they got out of B with the FA Cup that kind of lifted everybody but you look at them fixtures but for Man United you wouldn't be taking anything for granted Southampton away you know there was Fulham here CA them problems um Brighton obviously beat him and all Brighton go along nicely but every game for Man United I think would be tough particularly again I go back to it I keep repeating myself when you make one or two mistakes and teams are getting that year that easily then every game's going to be a challenge Jamie do you think that this manager needs time to deliver the change that the club is making that Gary's talking about they made some new signings but debuts today or is there a danger that he is an OB iCal to progress I'd say the latter I don't think anything's really going to change in terms of the football that we play what we saw there we saw a lot last season where teams are just running at Manchester United's back four I've seen this with Liverpool actually you go back before J klopp came in and I was talking Brendan Rogers losing his job at the end of one season he wasn't sure what to do FSG and they kept him and he changed his staff exactly what Eric Tag's done here and you'd expect something different the manag is the main man he dictates what goes on here not coaches his philosophy play how he wants to play and Brendan Rogers was gone in October and I mean Eric tag said in his interview we'll see where we are at the end of the season and yeah it's early days of three games I'd be surprised if he was still in charge at the end of the season because the football the way they're talking about playing Jason Wilcox I think made a statement last season uh about a philosophy of play there isn't one we can see it with with slots in the first three games now that doesn't mean it's going to be successful there's different ways of playing but you can what did he see something the way they try and play that the profile of players that they're looking for with man united it just looks a mess of players on the pitch and I and if I'm being totally honest I mean mentioned this before but the only shift didn't want to keep him he won the cup final and it put him in a position where they went show what to do so then they were scurrying around Europe speaking to agents and other managers seeing if they could find someone better than Eric tag they didn't feel like they could so they stuck with the manager and they didn't have the nerve to make the change that they felt that they needed to do we know that and listen it's probably delayed the inevitable does that make it impossible for him to be successful here Gary look there's no doubt I don't agree with the nerve bit at the end he used the word bottle up there on the Gantry that's why we were arguing for 20 minutes but generally they we don't we don't know about that so well he said that the ownership bottled it in not getting rid of him what the Jamie said the ownership bottled it at the end of the season up there you can you know what they did oh my God how can you say they bottled it they were really open about the fact that they went and looked for a manager to try and replace Eric tenh hard they couldn't find one Bayern Munich had a few months to replace tland found it difficult and ended up employing someone a third and fourth choice Liverpool had six months to replace klopp and employ Anna slot was third choice it wasn't easy to get a manager at the end of last season for Manchester United or any club in Europe so you are openly admitting that they were looking for another manager said exactly they admitted it exactly so they're looking for somebody else and they can't actually get so they don't want this manager if you're happy with your manager you don't start speaking to other managers the people you don't know Bayern Munich and Liverpool they knew the managers were gone 6 months before the end of the season find manager know doesn't matter you have to find somebody if you're happy with your manager you don't start flying around speaking to aent tenh wins the FA Cup and I think it shocks everybody shock shocks inos and they then think well okay we'll still go and have a find if we can have we'll still go and look around Europe and see if we can find a manager they couldn't find a manager that they felt would take the club forward at this moment in time better than Eric ten hard could so he kept his job Liverpool couldn't find the manager first second third time neither could Bayern mun it was it was hard to find managers last at the end of last season a lot of clubs in Europe which look for a manager and couldn't find one inos tried to look for one to replace Eric tag they couldn't do so they decided because he won the FA Cup they would stick with him what part of that don't could they have had Anna slot didn't want Anna slot probably they didn't think an slot was a more of a guarantee to take on this club more than what Eric ten hard was who to be fair it shouldn't be sniffed by the way it shouldn't be like demeaned that two trophies in two years when in the FA Cup is all of a sudden now a really bad time finishing eighth in the league is unacceptable but they've won two trophies in two seasons in man united history there were many seasons where they went years without winning trophies Alex Ferguson it took him six seven years to win the Premier League it takes time sometimes young Club it took five years six years Etta is on a journey of five six years to try and win a premier league if they're winning trophies along the way they should be Sni that in's third season they were in the Champions League final and you could see something building going forward we are if you think it's not good enough it's what it's not good enough so how long how long he why was it why was it going to for the fact I'm saying that they they they bottled it in the summer what was going to be different this season just by changing your St what difference were we going to see in Manchester United simply there's a thought process that every manager that's been at Manchester United over the last 10 years is really bad they're not good enough van 10 what's he called vangal is not good enough Ran's not good enough Sol's not good enough mourinho's not good enough Mo you always blame glaz who you blame Moyes is not good enough so what they've tried to do is give a stable platform above him with different people technical directors sporting directors head of recruitment CEOs all changed that actually might not be the coach that's the problem at the club it might be the fact that they've not got the right balance around them so let's get the right support Staffing which is what they've done and see whether this manager can Thrive under a better leadership above him that's what they've tried I don't think that's wrong right do you see progress being made here um no listen you'd be worried for the manager I would never stand here and say I expected manager to lose his job but the pressure no doubt from last year we obviously remember the FA Cup and they got out of jail in a few Cup in a few the cup games but the pressure must be building whatever I think when you're playing for the big teams and obviously man united is one of the biggest I i' I'd hate this tag if I was playing that you're a cup team and this is what this team in and that means in terms of League you can't turn up week and week out I'm not talking about challenging Man City or even Arsenal I'm talking about competing with Liverpool uh Chelsea obviously teams like Aston Villa who at the moment spars are in that mix and at this moment in time you you look at Man United and they're slightly behind him that's to worry for me not not what man and Arsenal doing because I do think it they need more time do you just want to see progress is that what you're looking for is it better performances is it a consistency performances when they first got in we always felt I know artet when they up pretty quickly and klopp was getting to go there was this element of he had people behind him the field good Factor was coming back but when you keep getting beaten like they did last year at home you finishing eight and you get beaten weled in under a back of a defeat against Brighton you soon lose that you know as I mentioned earlier when the Stadium's getting empty after 60 Minutes of the game is over that will just be that will build massive pressure for the manager of course it will it's only natural but of course I wanted to turn things around but the longer it takes and the more you come to matches here and you're getting beaten comfortably by one of your biggest Rivals of course the pressure is going to build Daniel what's your take you don't have to be an ex-manchester United player to have a view on what's going on here no I I think from a from a for formation perspective they've gone about this in a way to try and get results in my opinion the manager you know missing players that he would probably prefer to have his starting lineup so give him a bit of leeway there but I think in terms of how he set the team up today I watched him last week play against Fulham I think it was Fulham last week the game last week the last bright and sorry and I was like they're way too open they're playing like a 424 so for me before the game I was thinking surely they're not going to play against Liverpool the same way so I was disappointed with the way in which the team was set up because I was surprised by it to be honest they were way too open so it was inevitable that the result was going to be a win for Liverpool based on how man united were playing in my opinion there's been lots of changes regarding this upstairs or whatever but supporters want to see stuff on the pitch lots of changes it's the same problems but we've seen new signings out there today in in Deli and xery as well at the end of a long list while lugat is at the end of that long list and we haven't seen him yet but in the ter Eric tenard era 6116 million so far I want to ask Daniel specifically on on theck and xery do you think these are two players that can take this football club forward I'll be totally transparent I'm not quite sure I think they players who are good players do I think they're unbelievable top top players I'm not I'm not sure about that but look they're coming into a team where the managers identified these players to be guys who he believes can help the team move forward so at the end of the day xery for me played well at bologna he's got ability theck you know he's been at many top clubs and he's coming to Manchester United to try and change what's going on right now but is he at Peete form is he at the best he's ever been I'm not sure the biggest problem they've got at the moment that Manchester United is not a destination right now for the top players in Europe anyway just isn't over the last 10 years it has been a graveyard for players just generally that have come to the club with big reputations and they've not done well whether it's homegrown players whether it's National players from Great Britain or whether it's players from International soil one thing that Roy just said there is that when I I came back from Valencia I think in the April I came to a game it was one of Louis Van's last games and I saw the stadium was sort of half empty during a match I think they playing Crystal Palace on like a Tuesday night and I thought that is that is a signal so today they're being 20 25,000 in with 5 minutes to go is a real problem for Eric tag that can't continue and I think he'll get a few months to be able to get used to these new players coming in hland coming back agat coming in and I think they'll assess it at that time he can't be in eighth at the end of November and going into December he's got to be up there in that top four or five he has to be so was sixth okay I'm deadly serious you tell me for you no you say Manchester United the biggest club in the world would Real Madrid or Bayern Munich except being sixth in their league we're saying eighth that's where we are with man united right now that if he's in eighth in a couple of months he'll be okay you look at this team as well you ask yourself can you hang your hack are they say are they really hard to beat are they brilliant in terms of keeping clean sheets you go no they've already open are they brilliant going forward scoring loads of goals you go no their gold record last year was probably one of the poorest in the top half so you're looking try to hang your hat on something and you come to all traff you come watch your matches and you're still kind of scratching your head I'm hanging my hat on ugat I believe he's a really good signing and I think you've seen the stats how he plays in Europe he's one of the best defensive midfielders it's what they need right now so the reality of it is if you're talking about breaking down play transition all these teams doing all these things they are very open his job and what he's great at is helping defensively I have no problem Sor with these players were mentioned there there and there's lots to go through and the lads again mentioned today there's no doubt these are good players but I think they're coming from different leagues and a lot of obviously from the the Dutch League that he's worked with before but the challeng is physically mentally in the Premier League I think that's the big challenges no one doubt these are good players and they go and play for big clubs in other leagues but the challenge is the Premiership that physical being at it week and week out and a lot of these players because they're now A Cup team don't seem to do we we got the sign of a really top player and a top team is they turn up every week and even on a bad day they they're grinding out the result this team doesn't do it when when you talking about where this team's going let's go back to the beginning the first player he wanted to sign was Frankie D young as a hold Midfield player we know what type of player he is Liverpool tried to do exactly the same and didn't get there man zuba Mendy Liverpool then didn't go and buy a completely different player in casemiro to fill that role they've gone with what they've got and obviously we've seen the situation with today unfortunately for the lad but that how has that happened where he's in a situation where he's now actually got five players I think he had at aax how are we not seeing his thing the club have allowed him to spend hundreds of millions of pounds by players from the Dutch League plays his worked with before and we still don't see anything really about where this club's going or a style of paint and it's not even just about man united need to win and you know man united should always be competitive but surely a manager now after this long we should see what his team's about we see with POA cogo as soon as he comes in now that doesn't mean they're going to be successful they're doing okay spares we don't know what slot but we still asking qu the same questions of this manager and and to Gary's point he is surely going to get time given that he's been allowed to make more signings of players that he has worked with before and this is with the new hierarchy so he says judges at the end of the season we will win trophies so uh I'm thinking back a couple of weeks the Monday night football predictions Gary do you think that that Manchester United will finish above Liverpool this season yeah why not I might as well I might as well I might as well go down fighting swing I'm mancher United fan I've sat on this look Liverpool and City have been outstanding if jur clpp was the manager in the last seven or eight years Liverpool have challenges during this season Liverpool are a better team than Manchester United at this moment in time of course they are but I'm going to back my team of course I'm going to back my team why not Roy I'm I'm going to stick with United I have to you're just saying it just to say it now look at you you just say it just to say it bro relax just relax I still think you know who we getting the top for hey we're only three games in aren't we so exactly he wants him sacked anally said himself we are only three I want to stay all right the slot has won at Old Trafford by three goals to nil and he is so cool he is so calm Daniel he seems pretty unlap early stages he seems pretty unable he must think the Premiership was easy yeah what a big de he making it look pretty easy so far he's a chill guy man I I I really you know respect and like how he's approached it to be fair um specifically when he's speaking to to the likes of us but also the performances he's he's embedded within the players because for them to pick up his tactics this fast you see the rotations that they're doing now you're seeing the passes going into Salah that weren't there you'd see the explain that a little bit more what do you see is the big differences I think that they're on the front I'm not going to say they're on the front foot more but I think there's more rotations within the team there's players higher up the pitch obviously soers is picking up nice positions in between the gaps you've got passes going from the right back into the midfielder that are then going into Salah there's balls going from the defender straight into Salah which which wasn't the case prior to that it was maybe more of a transition style this seems like it's a lot more control based um but I like where I like where it's going yeah and sometimes we discuss that manager when he comes into job it'll take time it'll take time to settle in it'll take time for the players to get his ideas what what way they're going to play but you're looking today going he looks like he's been here a long time and the players are they're all up to speed with what he wants the players coming off the bench his decision making and of course when you win everything seems to everything seems amazing in his decision making but it looks like they've all picked up his messages very very quickly and clearly that's the sign of obviously very good coach and if there were doubts within the dressing room what impact would these results have on those players well you can't beat winning and to be fair salah's made a good point here thought it's when a new new manager comes in listen he's replacing an amazing manager a legend an of course exactly but sometimes it's just a new voice for people like Sally goals and the wins sometimes you do get comfortable whether are you likeing us subconsciously saw a new voice new ideas in training he' obviously have new staff with him and sometimes that gives the players a little bit of a bit of a lift because Liverpool obviously have got quality players but he's also made the point as well there challenges to come up now in terms of midweek games traveling champions league and that's another challenge considering he only got what he only made one signing hello and welcome along to the big game of the Manchester United against the Liverpool Manchester United fans disappointed after the game because there is no such a goal from the Manchester United while Liverpool just rushes them with a three goals in which Louis scored double goal while osala scored the goal at in the second half to make it 3 n against the Manchester United man united is the first uh team and the first club that has not scored the goal at the uh season in the first three games of the Premier League season 2024 and 25 now if you look at the old traffic stadium in this game what is happening and what is going on so on the Old Trafford Stadium our news thought is the first premier league Liverpool manager to win his first meeting with Manchester United since Bob Bley in November 1975 and just a second to do so away from home after George K in November 1936 he done this job in 1936 after that Liverpool next manager is the Juran klopp but CL does not do this job complete his job but uh on is notot complete the job Manchester United have lost three of their last five Premier League home games against Liverpool as many defeat as across the previous such 18 matches they has been headed so far against the Manchester United Liverpool have been each of their last opening three Premier League games without conceding for the first time since 2018 and 19 when they finished at runers up to the Manchester City on 97 points on their Premier League Points Table Liverpool takes Manchester United report at the Old Trafford with a trio of turnovers in Midfield leading to three shots and three goals for slot side vun Out 3 nil winners Alexander anal dis out goal 7 minute and gave the host a chance to refocus but Paul D would last for less than a half hour more with the ass popping up at the back post to n Salah cross home after casmiro misplaced pass the Colombian International would double the advantage just over a half dozen minute later with a casmiro again giving the visitors a chance to win position high up the pitch leading to a well timed finish Salah would get involved after the restart adding a strike to his two assist with a perfectly placed shot to extend his personal scoring run against Manchester United despite a relatively close expected goals output for the host compared to 1.73 10 hugs teams never really threatened to challenge Allison Allison goalkeeping is not uh good but just outstanding in that game against the Manchester United T High team never really threatened to challenge Allison outside of a spare of zie chances while already three na down Liverpool maintained their winning and clean sheet streaks ahead of a meeting in noram Forest on September 14 while Manchester United will look for a second win of the campaign on the same day against Southampton that conclude our commentry of the Premier League and we hope you have enjoyed a lot in that game game because a lot of the players you see that they focus on the game and from Liverpool site we have seen three goals but from the Manchester United side we does not see anything because they does not focus on the things that they need to be on the uh game so that's all from today and we hopefully you enjoyed a lot this game and see you in the next video till then bye-bye
