Intro about those rain showers expected again this afternoon. It is now day 5 of power outages across the Houston area today, more than 875,000 CenterPoint customers are still in the dark. Coming up, we’re going to tell you where you can find a place to cool off, get some water. A lot of cases handing out meals. Many people we know are losing patients and Power outages say they are frustrated with CenterPoint Energy this morning. Kprc 2 Brittany Jeffers is live near NRG Park with more on the timeline for Restoration. Energy is one of those places where they have all the utility crews. >> Set up there and staged. What are you seeing there this morning? Brittany. >> Yeah, I mean, we’ve been out here since about 4.45 this morning. And you’re There were dozens of vehicles that were stage behind me. Those crews getting ready to go. They were out before the sun came up. It was before 6 o’clock. When we saw that last truck that last through a move out of this particular staging area. And we know that those locations are set up across the area. we do want to point out CenterPoint head has set out a statement saying that they hope to restore 80% of customers by the end of Sunday. They want their power back on and during our 06:00AM news cast KPRC 2 spoke with Daryn. Carol, he’s with CenterPoint and he was responding to a comment that was made by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, who had previously said that is CenterPoint needs their goal by Sunday. They will have power outages from about 2.2 million people without power down to about 500,000. The Lieutenant Governor adding that that was not acceptable. Here’s with CenterPoint executive had to say about that. >> You know, we’re not undaunted by we’re not daunted by the amount of work there’s to do or not terminated by it. We’re going to continue to work. We’re very proud of the fact that, you know, at this point, as we say right now, we restored 1.3 9 million customers in the first 4 for 9 days. But we’re not sure to brag or anything else. We share that, you know, for people to understand that we are committed to the cause, we’re going to get through this. We know that centerpoint’s not the only company still dealing with power outages. Entergy is also working to get power back to their customers as well. 75,000 Entergy customers still don’t have power this morning. So the 2 counties affected the most in the Entergy area is Montgomery County where 55,000 people don’t have power. And then in Liberty County, there are 7600 people who have not gotten their power back back yet. And then electric company, Texas, New Mexico Power says that they’ve been experiencing issues with external carriers. They say that’s causing connectivity problems for their customer service number. So that can be frustrating. If you’re trying to call and get more information about when your power might come back on the TMP outage website says they’re still working to fix more than 1000 outages. They have a much smaller service area so far. They say 44,000 people are still without power. 275,000 customers in area have seen their power restored since Monday, Texas. New Mexico Power says a quote, significant number of customers could expect to see their power back by the end of Sunday. However, they also say the hardest hit
