welcome back to another NFL recap video where I'm going to be talking about everything from kurk cousins already potentially being on the hot seat to cidd lamb getting the new BigTime extension to some quarterback talk but jumping right in with Kirk Cousins in a report from the athletic it was saying that Kirk Cousins could already be on the hot seat in year 1 now Kirk Cousins signed a 4-year deal but it's very important to note especially when the Falcons drafted Michael penx Jr that there's only two guaranteed years on this contract but there's a chance that Kurt Cousins could be playing for his job in year one as the report from the Athletics said that if Kurt Cousins doesn't win multiple playoff games for the Falcons this year then it could potentially be shifting to Michael pennock's job for next season or at least it could be a very open quarterback competition and now the expectations of winning multiple playoff games in the first year especially as a 36-year-old coming off at Tor Achilles is crazy this just goes back to the debate and question of why would the Falcons even pay KK cousins coming off at torn Achilles if they just knew they wanted to go with a quarterback of the future at number eight anyways so that's a question for a different time but really this just seems unfortunate for ktk cousins he's coming off the Tor killes he's probably going to have to shake off some Rust and if he doesn't put together one of the best seasons of his career which it would be if he wins multiple playoff games then he could be sitting behind Michael penck next year ahead of hitting free agency in two years again looking for an opportunity in his age 38 or so SE season so that'll be interesting to follow throughout the year the next news update is CD lamb is signing a 4-year deal for 136 million 100 million of that is guaranteed and the Cowboys are locking up their guide just under two weeks before kickoff of week one he is now the second highest paid non-quarterback behind Justin Jefferson he's going to have an average annual value of 34 million per year and it looks like he's just going to continue to be one of the top receivers in NFL now the focus shifts to Dak Prescott Mike Sando of the athletic released a quarterback tier list where he got 50 people on a panel and that panel consisted of seven general managers eight head coaches 12 coordinators 12 Executives eight assistant coaches and three involved in coaching analytics these are current NFL positions right now so these those 50 people came together to tier the quarterbacks and starting things off in tier one obviously Patrick Mahomes is up there with Josh Allen and Co but Joe burrow is also in tier one but one of the coaches had some criticism to say of Joe burrow or maybe some pessimism around Joe burrow he said you love everything about him but at some point physically his body is going to fail that's a defensive coach who has faced burrow multiple times now Joe burrow yes he is incredibly good he's in a clear top three in the league with Mahomes and Josh Allen but early in his career he had that torn ACL last year he had that season ending wrist injury so at the end of the day the best of Avail ability is availability and another coach said he is a cool calm collected confident version of Kirk Cousins basically he just said he has the decision making quicker than Kurt Cousins that's why the results look better but let me know your thoughts of that coach's analysis of Joe burrow now moving down to tier 2 Aaron roders there's some people that have concerned with Aaron roggers as this was a head coach he said you go back and watch those first four plays before he got hurt last year he did not look good he looks old if they can't protect him and they can't run the football it'll be just what you saw the late stages in Green Bay he became ineffective I'm looking at what he is not who he is so this is very interesting I do think that sample size of the four plays on that Monday Night Football game he played with the Jets definitely seems like far too small of a sample size but it might be clear early this year does he look old is he a little more injury-prone what is Aaron roders going to look like and is he still the type of quarterback that can single handedly level up a team like he's trying to do and has the expectations to do for the Jets and lead them to the playoffs at least if not a Super Bowl which is their ultimate goal and last but not least to wrap up today's NFL recap the Chiefs are signing Juju Smith Shuster to a minimum contract because he got released by the Patriots they're eating most of his money that he's owed this year and this is a lowrisk but possibly High sealing move he was on the Chiefs when they beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl so that's good Maris Brown is banged up to start this year we don't know what's going to happen with suspensions as far as Rashi rice Xavier Worthy is still a rookie what's Travis Kelce going to look like as he continues to age so like I said low risk there's not going to be too many expectations for gu gu but at the very least it's some extra depth let me know your thoughts on what's going on around the league
