Was Jameis Winston Really Blind For His 30 TD 30 INT Season In Tampa Bay? | Pat McAfee Reacts

when you were playing at Tampa okay and you lead the NFL in touchdowns and then also interceptions and then you go back to Florida State you went a national championship and you won a Heisman it came out shortly were you blind during those time is that because the way we talk about it is you were blind you were just a blind man and then you get lasic whenever you get to New Orleans and it did you are you the most accomplished blind man in the history of football and how big of a difference was it whenever you got your eyes fixed uh could you see things a little better well I I wasn't blind Pat but I tell you what lasic is definitely a game Cher just the fact that I was able to like actually read a stop sign that was clear read the street signs without using Apple Maps or Google Maps like uh it it really helped me out with my depth perception uh but uh a lot of times at Florida State you know I was squiding to look at the scoreboard and typically we were up you know uh most of the time when I was squiding at Tampa to look at the scoreboard you know I was trying to see if I could change the score a little bit but uh it it it it really uh impacted my game just in terms of seeing the depth of linebackers uh identifying pressure sooner and uh and just processing information really fast yeah so you couldn't see [ __ ] I got couldn't see a stop sign yeah we got it yeah well we're happy you got your vision I am also somebody that got lasic and my life changed overnight it was like I walked into the Colts practice facility I had no idea what the roof looked like cuz all the lights everything's just so blurry I walked in there I'm like this is a beautiful fac hey you guys did good on this like yeah you've been here 3 years it's like yeah that was first time seeing it yeah it's a whole game changer happy to hear that was happening to you as well let's talk about some of the offseason workouts now so Clyde christens oh no yeah this is terrible it's too electric come on this this is devil's work jamus needs to be heard he does we need to hear jamus every day we got outstanding questions over the last couple years so many they're both outstanding and they're also outstanding because we haven't been able to ask him for years and years and years he was blind yeah yeah for shoot he had to look at his phone to know what street to turn down could see the how about how about when he's when I was in Florida State I was trying to see what the score was up there normally we at multiple scores when I was at Tampa Bay I was looking trying to change one of them cuz remember he was scoring for both teams exactly yep but how could you not he had no idea if that person was on his team or not he just saw a body where his playbooks said body was supposed to be and he was throwing it sometimes it was the other team that's not on him he didn't know no what were he going to do guy can't see a stop sign death perception that's like the most important thing when it comes to quarterbacking I I think being a sniper depth perception matters uh I think being like a a basketball shooter depth perception matters dentist uh dentist matters golf matters being a quarterback in the NFL certainly one of the top 10 I think seeing the rush being like okay that dn's like five yards away he's literally like right here how about us being like jamus really I mean right down the barrel he had somebody it was like an objects in a mirror closer than they appear type situation for him with his actual eyes ladies and gentlemen jamus Winston's back jamus we just we're dissecting your last answer about depth perception being figured out and which jobs require depth perception the most quarterback seemingly a top 10 job that needs sniper in the military is certainly one uh golf is one dentist is a big deal uh but quarterback yeah right absolutely
