welcome back to the core Cutters news Tech Lab today going to be taking a look at how you can watch the NFL in 2024 and 2025 now the NFL in some ways is easier than others and in many ways though it's harder than ever to watch all the NFL games if you're trying to catch everything we'll break down the pros and cons of all the options what you need to know and how you can watch the NFL in the 2024 season now a few quick things I will put a link to everything I'm about to talk about in the show notes and in the first pin comment you can find a full complete guide if you prefer to read it that way second things change rapidly last year we had a lot of changes mid-season we'll break to this all down what we know right now check out cor carw.com for more breaking news all right of course let's start off with your local games now these are the games that are on your local NBC ABC not ABC sometimes ABC for Monday night Fox and CBS now with this of course you're going to need either an antenna that being the cheapest way or a live TV service that offers locals like Direct TV stream fos Hulu Plus live tv YouTube TV and the like now a few things with this for the most part that's remaining unchanged depending where you live you'll get the games you want to watch um from those channels in your local market they change every week with that now if you want to get out of Market games on Sunday afternoons you can still get NFL Sunday Ticket they'll give you all the aut of Market games on uh Sunday afternoons that don't air on your local station but here's where things start getting complicated the games on other days and there will even be special um games that will Air only on like peacock Netflix this year yes Netflix is going to air two NFL games this year and more exclusively on their service so let's dive into that so Thursday night football games have been airing on Amazon Prime video for some time no big change this year you will need Amazon Prime video if you intend to get these games very straightforward easy to subscribe to most people like me probably get it mostly for the uh free shipping but you can get it there that'll be th um Thursday Night Football of course you can get the yearly plan or you can get it just the streaming for $8.99 a month I would not recommend that um it's honestly not a great deal get the full Prime for a few more bucks now we get into some new stuff peacock will once again air exclusive NFL games only on peacock this year with a regular season game and a playoff game once again um of course you can get peacock all kinds of different deals right now though the standard deal is $7.99 a month or $79.99 per year for the basic you want the uh Li uh add free with limited exceptions it's $1 13.99 a month or $339.99 a year okay now PE Paramount plus is another great way you can also use Paramount plus to access some NFL games that are on CBS in your local market that's another one uh but Netflix is getting into it so let's talk about Netflix this is why I say it's harder than ever um you now need a either Nintendo or TV Service Plus you need peacock Amazon and Netflix to watch all the nationally aired games so Netflix will Air two NFL games on Sunday they'll actually be produced by CBS but um Netflix will stream them exclusively on Netflix as service this is part of Netflix slowly getting into uh live TV Live Events and sports because I've said it before sports are one of the few ways people actually watch TV live nowadays resulting in higher ad Revenue as people try to um buy ads where people are more likely to see them which is sports but with this you got two games there you can get Netflix for as low as $6.99 from my understanding this will be included in the ad supported plan though things could change but it is believ that if you have the ad supported plan you will be able to get this if you have the ad free guess what you're still seeing ads CU it's live TV there'll be ads we'll keep an eye on how it goes and how it works again though CBS will be producing it so the quality of it will be CVS quality which is pretty darn good coverage of football but there you go now there is a new service coming called venue Sports now this is a new live TV service not launched yet currently caught up in some legal battles we'll see what the judge rules soon if it can launch or not reports are it could launch as soon as August or as late as October depending on who you're talking to but it will offer 16 channels including local Fox and ABC Affiliates now for football you'll either need a an antenna to get the um CBS in NBC content or B um another live TV service you could go with peacock you could go at imp Paramount plus it'll be $42.99 it'll include a lot of college football games and a lot of um pro football games but you won't have everything the last thing here is Monday Night Football that's on ESPN so you're going to need a live TV service whether that be venue YouTube hul plus live TV sling and the like to access it recent Years A lot of these games have aired on ABC um because of the uh strikes they started doing that to have some content uh word is they're pulling back won't be doing that quite as often though if it's a inm market game like where I live if the Detroit Lions are playing it will always be on ABC if the short lions are not playing on Monday Night Football it won't be for example well there you go confused yeah it is kind of check out the show notes Down Below in the first pin comment for a link to this cup and NFL football has never been harder to watch at the same time it almost has never been easier you can watch every game streaming without cable the problem is you're going to need a collection of services to do it now the good news is you don't have to pay for these Services all year round right peacock's got one game um in the playoffs you just get one months of peacock you know Netflix has two games but on one day you get one month of Netflix and you're done so it could be a lot worse but it is you know hopefully a passing Trend I think we're moving towards a DAT where NFL someday will you'll subscribe directly to the NFL like they have with the es the NFL plus service um and get all your games that way rather than them farming it out to other people and giving them a cut of it well that's it for today hope you like this video I'll be back tomorrow with another coure cutting today
