don't know man it wasn't great like Sebastian Stan uh wasn't very compelling I mean it was literally 15 seconds like it wasn't anything but so what you're saying is Shane Gillis should be that's what everyone was talking about Shane Gill should have been given that role could have taken it he's good at him I'm Gonna Take It do it do it um but I haven't this is the trailer I haven't watched you know I do cycle through the trailers but I figured this one would be good for the docket suris didn't even [ __ ] watch it bro do you feel good about it though you ready for it you I think I'm ready me in that's exactly what I was thinking because there's another trailer that I just watched and it's the new SNL movie too oh yeah yeah yeah and it has the same look and feel so they're making these movies and it's just kind of like the texture yeah it really does feel and the set design because the sets looked like that time like but really well like it felt like you were just like there that time exact dude that's that's pretty cool I mean that's now what 50 years ago 70s yeah I guess so yeah 70s that's that's pretty crazy yeah know it is kind of crazy and and that's the look and and it looks it looks visually it looks good it was great dude yeah and Sebastian looks a little bit better I mean he's got the hair I guess but the voice though I don't know if he had the voice the thing though it's like you have to think about it in the sense of that time you know it was the 80s he was much younger he was a different dude like I you know it's like people forget like that guy's been around for a long time yeah like he was praised for his business then he you know did the the whole apprentice and that got him a little bit more popular that was crazy that show yeah yeah but like dude he before everyone loved him because he was so Cutthroat and now his politics are you know split in hairs you know but you know just let that let that go yeah no exact I mean again I'm sure there's GNA be a lot of commentary yeah um on what his position is now during the movie and I'm curious to see what this movie is based on is it based on like his like biography or is this just like firsthand or or secondhand accounts and that's what this movie is derived from I guess I can maybe look it up I guess yeah it's it's interesting it'll be you know because you saw a lot of those iconic uh iconic images of of him like you know the The Tuxedo shot of him walking up with his wife I believe like that's an iconic shot that they've had in the past like there there was a lot of those you know things that you've seen before and you're like oh you relate the shot to him but other than that man like it just it felt coherent you know it felt like there was something there so yeah like you said um like you it makes it puts you in that in that time dude and at the very least I mean that's enough for me to go watch it I think yeah and like you said it is a very interesting time to put it out yeah I mean election's coming up this be October here um Ali Abasi uh is the director who's actually from Iran I know that um which is pretty interesting um oh wow listen uh Dan Schneider the former owner of the Washington commanders billionaire obviously donate money to production of this film um with the impression that the film would be a positive betrayal of trump interesting dude he's a close friend of trump whatever there we go I wonder again controversial scenes controversy interesting dude yeah we're going to see a lot I'm sure Fascism ceas and desist these are all big terms that are scary dude but it doesn't tell me what it's based on yeah well we're going have to um it just maybe just [Music] we're wait and see oh wow June 2024 after much difficulty in finding a domestic dist distributor over concerns regarding its content as well as an attempt by Trump's legal team to block its release wow there we go good night Renee blocking the release she's blocking um Untold Hope Solo here um I guess this is a good segue the grittiness the the know the the the movie on a real life person it happened whatever um I guess recently Netflix uh you know released another uh episode or another documentary in the untold Series this is like the third one of this season that's correct dude I believe First the one was Aaron Hernandez right that was the untold story Aaron Hernandez no I mean might may have been for the first season but the second season the ones that I was telling you that I watched were uh that girl McNair McNair yeah yeah and was it the girl what was the girl that that the girl didn't the girl get die the McNair thing oh yeah no the girl kills McNair um but then the SEC oh the second one was the uh the Michigan State Scandal one where the dude was stealing signs oh yeah Harbaugh stealing signs steing signs but now we have the third one Hope Solo and I thought this was pretty interesting uh for two reasons one Manny's big soccer person um so I figured this would be kind of up your alley on your radar sort of deal right up your [ __ ] um all right right up there all right so um and then also this kind of took place and I guess I didn't realize like I guess how old Hope Solo was to be honest by the time it was nationally she was nationally recognized you know I thought she was like a young like 18 when she was nationally recognized but it's the opposite of that yeah uh she was in her mid 20s I believe late 20s um but anyway um you know again the whole I remember her from coming up with the obviously the uh uh Team USA here and winning the Olympics in 2015 was that one it was oh yeah when in the Olympic gold beating Japan with uh was that the first one for Rino rapino rapino it must have been yeah because she was in the Olympics 2011 as well hope they lost I know that um and oh yeah rapino got it Alex Morgan got it right yeah um Abby wombats wombat Abby wombat was in in there as well um and then and then so I kind of caught that of her and then I caught the um domestic dispute domestic violence SC where she was arrested and then the DUI or the DWI DWI um so I you know again I was kind of all coherent for that things yes and she was in the news for other things as well right very outspoken she was supposed to be like like a figurehead for you know the women's movement in soccer really no she's like I ain't having it and yeah dude it it's [ __ ] crazy but um this the documentary starts off with you know going through through her childhood which is pretty cool yeah a lot of things happening here um but she grew up in Washington state okay to not a great family and it's crazy because at at first you we heard this story before no yeah of course of course but at first you know the documentary starts it off with like some of Hope's accolades naturally some of her hopes and her hopes and dreams hopes hopes um and then like everything's all good my mother was just strong woman she taught me how to be tough I grew up in a tough family my dad was so funny and then all of a sudden the music could turn boom and then the music stopped and then it's and then she goes but I didn't really know who my dad was oh no you know um and then there was like rumors of him being a witness protection um he said he was in the vut more but we never ever sure you know you never really knew a real weird and yeah he had two Social Security numbers whatever um and they never really again like I expain it I no they don't I lit wrote my notes they should make a Doc about him honestly just about him uh just really about him because turns out he had a whole second family [ __ ] um that he had left before you know he met Hope's mother and had the kids and stuff never knew about it kind of crazy um and then they get divorced tough times no money got play play soccer the whole town rallies pays for her travel team the gear the whatnot the drives um everybody and then like her her dad is Mia homeless homeless homeless he goes homeless get the [ __ ] out yeah literally like like literally dude and then she so like and obviously for a few years now she's with the mother with the kid whatever they don't mention anything at brothers and sisters I don't know if she's the only child or not interes um but then she go she lives with the best friend she with the anymore she does Liv with her parents No Parental supervision guidance grandparents nothing dude none of that [ __ ] goes to high school soccer bang bang great let's go dude um it's a good story no no it's it's great and then she's obviously naturally good she's like a forward she's not she's a striker Striker she's not a not a goalie yet um and then like one year whatever she's a junior sophomore at practice all of a sudden she sees like this fat old homeless man jet black hair Italian it's her dad bang dude and now he's coming to games supporting her whatever from his home um that's right yeah um and because of that reconnection there she did commit she was about to commit to Virginia get far as away from home as possible but then she no I found my dad let's go I'm gonna go to Washington State okay dude um and the dad goes to every home game and whatever and it's great whatever still home um what yeah still homeless yeah still homeless um yeah nothing again she still has no money whatever the full ride local school um coaches are there they convince her yo you want to go to team Olympic USA you're GNA be a goalie you're GNA learn how to goalie so she does it falls in love She's All About I just want to prove to my town my boy I can do this um and then dude then comes hope um let's see my notes hold on oh yeah first of all so this and now this is where things are to change so all up until here you get interviews by her hop so obviously a couple different locations but pretty standard interviewing interview looks um and then the best friend she lived with her in high school and in college and stuff was there the coaches from college there um and then [ __ ] what is her name dude Michelle Acres comes in out of nowhere okay she was part of the 99 women's Team all right um and again the gear shift all right and all they start showing High you know uh 1991 first ever Women's World Cup soccer Michelle akr scoring USA wins bang Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam 99 first ever or 96 excuse me first ever Olympic time time women soccer in the Olympics 96 they win Gold USA bang in USA dude bang dude soccer hot on the scene what up dude and then and then 99 the 99 World Cup I believe happen yeah a 99 World Cup Rose Bowl 110,000 people America W in 99 of a shootout um or penalty kicks whatever you want to say yeah um against China 110,000 people in attendance biggest thing ever bang D and they just hyping up Michelle acr's [ __ ] Mia [ __ ] ham and [ __ ] oh the ham might start for and then all of a sudden Cuts back to Hope Solo they won that World Cup but that's all they did for women's soccer so she's like starting [ __ ] like obviously just pissed off dude just genuinely pissed off man um and then so now it's her time it's 99 she's in college whatever and she gets picked up she's a freshman in college 18 I think she is picked up by the US Olympic Squad come practice train with us dude the youngest of the team ever she like doesn't make it or she's not the starter she's not the starter whatever dude um and fast forward so this is from 99 now she's struggling um for eight years to make the roster in 2007 she makes the roster for Team USA brother what happens her father dies oh no literally like a [ __ ] movie you can't write this up dude so now she's playing for her dad all right first time Olympics and this is where it gets [ __ ] up dude because the Olympics comes in there was this dope coach and again all the people on the team whatever she's a starter she has a very specific play style aggressor [ __ ] yeah baby um and she's leading the team to victories backto backto back shutouts they've won four matches in a row all of a sudden semi-finals match oh no benched see you later for no reason bring up this other chick oh hurts did you feel it she felt it she felt it hard right in the gut baby uh and what happens dude they lose the next game 4 nil it happens 4 nil don't trust hop she's [ __ ] tight obviously she's like hey tight so she goes obvious and then again this is like her being just hotheaded reporter after the game after the match because that was the whole big storyline why is she benched why is she benched why is she benched yeah reporters like hey like would you why you benched no no not only like not why you're benched but ask her do you think you would have made those saves out there she's like she's like well you know I think it was at the end of the day a bad decision uh by my coach just to start uh to bench me um so yeah I would have made those saves out there and then it was all like you can't [ __ ] do that that's your teammate all this backlash comes to find out that it was the team that went to the head coach we don't want her to start we want the back up the start because whatever blah blah blah and then afterwards of course it's like yo come on in locker room let's talk about this and she's like the monkey in the middle here everyone is telling her what's wrong with her yeah and then she gets blacklisted from the team this is in 2007 and obviously they lose the World Cup of course wouldn't you know next year they fire that coach bringing a new woman Swedish played for Sweden swed I'm a Sweden you're a Swede Sweden swedes um and she's like all about the Mantra of the [ __ ] Good Vibes and she's like hey whatever this is just like squash it bringing back hopes so she's starting she's good she deserves it what's up dude so great story up until this point they bringing the Swedish woman which is awesome um and then 2011 World Cup they lose um but then after that even though they lost hope Soul got super [ __ ] famous at that point yeah um and then was when the domestic dispute happened fights so this was a big deal obviously in her life yeah um because this was obviously very National very newsworthy very out in the open and she fought an under under AED cousin of hers or nephew with her half sister this was the family party she was at that was you know part of her her dad's older family and like I'm all like it's okay the way she describes it because the nephew she said was 69ine almost 300 PB so I can see why like it got physical and stuff but it still [ __ ] crazy and at the end of the day charges were dropped family didn't want to testify because it was all hearsay dude that's so you know what dude she's [ __ ] not guilty all right dude but a lot of bad press all right but what happened she used that 2015 let's go dud World Cup [ __ ] hammer it dude ham and this is where it gets kind of cool too because now um at this point it's she's proving that she's good sort of deal after all this adversity father dying no family no um stability excuse you sir World Cup and again this where it gets good because they speaker phone on the president at the time President Obama Obama and he goes ah this is all good whatever whatever and I'm goingon to let the men's team know that you beat them in all the um damn what the hell was the word he used all the ratings in all the ratings yeah and then it went like that dude and it went full-fledged [ __ ] suing the the hockey the soccer Federation uh whatever they're call their FIFA uh uh is it or well yeah FIFA would be I think I think it's something uh different one I think it is a different one to women's um yeah but at this point now bang dude so they file um like whatever they don't file lawsuits yet they file complaints formal complaints formal um yeah formal complaints five uh golfers five soccer players file complaints that that the whole team wanted to do it so they're like all right whatever dude yeah yeah yeah um and so they get a lawyer as well to just have that guy there but again no one's suing anybody yet F complaint equal pay Men We generate more Revenue we generate more money people know our names Yad Yad yada people want me um which is fine uh then 2016 comes around all right which is very like untimely for this because you lost in the Olympics and you lost pretty bad um and you know what happened dude you remember that coach I mentioned that was hired from Sweden oh I remember she was coaching Sweden's national team in the Olympics and who they lose to [ __ ] Sweden someone who coached the girls and I guess she played a very passive soccer match like strategy um and of course hope so their big [ __ ] mouth calls them cowards to the media coward say the better team didn't win today yeah I remember that they played a coward game yeah and you can imagine the backlash the backlash you know what happened she fired yep fired fired I on the spot basically I come to the [ __ ] in the hotel room like Yo sayara dude um and then at that point she was like yo now that I'm not even employed by them I can sue full on let's go so she does no responses from her [ __ ] friends um her teammates um but she goes solo Doo um and she openly sues but then after the open suit there she gets caught with the DUI um and the D the DWI excuse me driving while intoxicated although I'm pretty sure Under the Influence probably both uh because at the end the blood test so here's what kind of happened here she fell asleep in her car that was running in the parking lot yeah okay and she also had her her twin two-year-old twins in the back seat oh wow yikes dude cob knocks in the window notices his van running so knocks on it wakes her up she very Delirious uncor operative Delirious gives her a test won't do the breath breathalyzer y struggling resisting arrested blood test see you drunk alcohol high on the weed marijuana marijuana cigarettes um and which again I mean it's fine but you get into a little bit of a hairy situation when you're driving and then it gets super dicey when you got two kids in the back seat dude um like that's a big problem and she even said it she [ __ ] up she gave everyone a [ __ ] reason to [ __ ] get out dude uh and you know what it wasn't the [ __ ] first time um but I guess she still presses on with the with the lawsuit and stuff but she kind of takes like a back seat thing dude to it she and but unfortunately now and then I don't know dude cuz at this point it was a very much it seemed like a hop so apologist made this documentary you know because it painted her in a very positive light just kind like trying to get um like kind of like glossed over this DWI thing yeah didn't really say she was charged or pled guilty or anything which she did she pled guilty to it yeah and then again like obviously hammered that the nephew whatever they dropped the charges there um still did kind of paint her again brushed over the cow thing too didn't really go into detail about that they're not going to go into it depends on who makes these document as much as you want to say that it's like you know someone's trying to stay pretty you know biased to to both like it's it's always going to lean towards one way and you know what's even more crazy dude she starts going after all of the other players in the women's team too everyone like rapo yeah rapino whatever Morgan ham dude she starts saying um how like it's ridiculous that they settled that that wasn't that the point of this wasn't just to settle and get our money it was to change the course of women's soccer forever and they [ __ ] settled for money and a promise you know they didn't really change anything and then on top of that same [ __ ] that's going on with like the WNBA they're not they don't make they're not making the right decisions and they're complaining about they're not setting it up for for Success there's nothing there's nothing being set up for stability it's about this is a [ __ ] it's a business it's a business that's it like as much as you want to think that it's you know Sports and it's a business if you're not making money it doesn't matter it just doesn't matter to them so it's yeah it that was always an interesting situation and now it's repeating itself with the WNBA and Caitlyn Clark and all that [ __ ] so it's I don't know I don't know I don't know yeah yeah I don't know what what how to fix it or whatever but I mean I don't know man I mean I think I I don't know I'm pretty sure they don't get revenue from their jersey sales right like that's bogus they had something yeah something like that like you need that percentage of what I mean they should get the same deal that like again that men get right in terms of percentages and stuff like that well the percentages are based off of views and right what they pull in obviously and and that's much bigger than what you know the women bring I'll except for except for at the time when that was big when the women's team was like no that was they actually were they were getting more eyes the men um and it's crazy dude because again like hope Sol starts going after the 99 team as well because she's like what the [ __ ] did they do for us they didn't set us up with anything they just had success they got their money and they didn't CH you know like they were they should have set us up yeah but she needs to understand that that first off the the women's Major League though the the women's soccer it's like it's it's there and then sometimes it's gone because they can't afford to have it going you know like they right they don't they didn't have anything to that they thought they would look forward to they didn't think it was going to expand and keep on going it's gotten bigger but that was an expectation no one was watching soccer period much less [ __ ] women soccer you know like it's it's a tough situation there and so like and she just went into a [ __ ] defense mode she into like blaming everybody she literally that's what it seemed again like an apologist and then it was everyone else's fault and I just felt like at the end of it like you know I don't know man I mean I again you know when I had when it had all transpired when I was alive right 2015 whatever I was coherent then of the situation you were able to follow it I to follow it and I kind of thought she was a [ __ ] prick dude yeah which is us again it's based off of the media like the media is not going to anybody that speaks out again something right only one trashed it's just gonna get they're GNA try and pick up dirt yeah yeah yeah and and and and again the the other thing it's just you so everyone's eyes are on you so no matter what like you're gonna get picked apart by the [ __ ] guy in his basement that has nothing else to do and all he wants to do is research this [ __ ] what the [ __ ] man you know what I mean no yeah yeah no I see what you're but it's like you you get to this point now where it's like you can't it's tough to to to say your peace and say your side of the story and what you feel like and half the time you look like an [ __ ] doing it no yeah that's for sure were you around for this 99 World Cup do you remember this or the Olympics seding up yeah the the one the bra girl yes I forget her name Courtney something maybe yeah I was like 13 yeah yeah so it was I just knew that the women's team was way better than the men's yeah yeah that was probably around the time that I was starting to watch puberty yeah but starting to watch Dude I hit puberty ear I had my mustache going it was fun yeah baby but uh it was it was right before I started watching soccer right heavily that's cool so yeah heavily heavily um but yeah dude it's it's a great documentary about an hour 14 doesn't really seem to drag on again they kind of you know again they're doing hopo background all a sudden they whip in to the women the first women's team and you're like all right all right what's going on here you know like little highlights new people um stuff like that that Untold series is interesting because you're like sometimes it's it's really good and then sometimes they're like pushing the drama like the the Michigan one was just pushing drama trying to like squeeze anything they could out of this [ __ ] story man and even the McNair one it was it probably could have been a little bit less because the story in the end was just kind of like all right that we know that's what happened like okay no there there wasn't any big surprise you guys didn't do it well enough to to give us a Twist you know or like make us not think that it was the girlfriend like you knew it was the girlfriend little tweet it just [ __ ] happened you know you knew it was the girlfriend it's always the girlfriend Dude that [ __ ] girlfriend not even the girlfriend it was that's mistress s the mistress dude it's always the [ __ ] mistress dude can't keep her
