Is Cooper Kupp a STEAL in Drafts? | Fantasy Football 2024

I'm all in on this player this year it's Cooper cup it's for me it I I'm just so confident in the fact he's gonna outperform his ADP he's going to perform better than the last two seasons that we've seen because of injury in 2021 he had 1947 yards and 16 touchdowns now I'm not saying he's going to get that but let's say he gets a thousand yards and eight touchdowns we're we're pretty happy about that and that's outperforming his his W wide receiver three U ADP number so I have no no doubt that we're going to see that we're also going to see the fact that there's 20 point ceiling in this in this player that other receivers going around him do not offer that on as consistent of a basis not saying he's going to get every week what I mean is though one one receiver let's say even Pitman right Pitman might get 20 points once or twice in in the season maybe where cup probably could double that number or more of 20o games so I feel very comfortable about him both as pursuing upside and um getting the most out of my weeks the argument C can be made what if he gets injured again okay are we mad that if we if we draft CMC and he gives us rb1 weeks for S weeks in the season and and gets injured yeah we don't want him getting injured but he would definitely perform to to his ADP and to me Cooper Cup's going to blow his ADP out of the water it's one of these teams where the consolidation of targets is fantastic it makes it so clear what players we want and I don't think the discrepancy is honestly as big as the ADP suggest between pug and AA and um Cooper cup where that's not me putting down PUK and deua it's just me talking up Cooper cup both these guys popped out of projections as top 15 wide receivers um and you're taking Cooper cup as you mentioned in in in the 20s uh the touchdown upside I think is certainly there the way we've seen it over over time with Matthew Stafford at at the helm I I think we can expect touch on upside there to be a little bit more than a Michael Pitman and I think he's going to be within 20 targets of a Michael Pitman similar yardage um so when you're getting them around cheaper half round cheaper than Michael Pitman I I think you could absolutely click him right over Michael Pitman I mean I'm gonna probably be doing it myself you're right you can't play scared with Cooper cup I think this is fantastic a big difference from last year taking Cooper cup uh as early in the offseason a top three pick even later on people are trying to get him the second round and then obviously slid because of the injury news to start the year you don't have to take him there you're taking him in the mid fourth round and if he stays healthy and Stafford stays healthy which I'm going to project to do so and if it goes against me you know that's why we we make moves in season we're getting a player that's a second round value potentially here in the fourth round so I love that for Cooper cup I think people forgetting just how good he is I don't think he's really fallen off I think the excitement around puka nakua has certainly pushed him down boards where I think these two where puka is yes he's the onea I think he's very much worth that end of the first round early second round pick I think Cooper cup really is not that far off yeah and it doesn't hurt having puka on the other side helping to drive the team down the field because Cooper Cup's really good in the Red Zone yeah yeah and and people worry about like some of these offenses where there's two clear like pass catchers that really isn't a problem because if there's two clear really really good pass catchers the volume is still going to be there even for lower volume pass offenses we saw an offense like the uh was it the 2021 Ravens where Mark Andrews had 150 targets and Maris Brown Hollywood was a couple targets under 150 targets like there's plenty of volume to go around in that offense that threw the ball far less than you know any offense is going to with Matthew Stafford Shawn McVey and these wide receivers like the volume concerns for me of them both being on the field is is near zero and like we already talked about with Cubs upside even last year he had three games of more than 25 points I can get three games of 25 points from very few wide receivers in football and especially at current cost I think that number goes down even farther and I don't truly think he was 100% healthy until week 13 and from that point on his absolute worst week in the regular season was still a wide receiver three finish of 11 points where you're not really going to be too mad about that being in your lineup one last thing too like if we won't even talk Ravens for a second right A lot of people talk about Lamar's lack of high-end passing numbers but think of how many games that defense and the offense dominated where they didn't have to do a lot of a lot of passing or a lot of scoring in the second half of games this Rams defense is very very thin they are going to allow points which is going to force the offense to score more points in the second half of games as well so this team is not ever going to be shutting it down and I think it's important also note right Jake talked about week 13 and on they by week 11 from that point on there was still enough meat on the bones for Demarcus Robinson to have Flex Appeal for you know Tyler higgy had multiple weeks as a tight end one I'm not saying that he was fantastic but there was enough meat on the bone for other players to also get involved in the receiving game so it's not like we're really thinning things out 50% of targets for for puka and Cooper cup is it's pretty easy these guys just got to stay healthy and I think this offense is absolutely going to cook for the players we want it to
