Wisconsin Football is BACK! (Short UW vs. WMU Game Preview)

so tomorrow night the Wisconsin Badgers football season opens up with an 800 PM game at Camp Randle Stadium against Western Michigan and you know this will be a a good test to see how the uh new offense run by Tyler Van djk Works and you know Western Michigan wasn't the greatest team record-wise last season they were 4 and eight but the Badgers at seven and six weren't too much better you know last year was definitely an up and down year with 10 or more to kayak quarterback we'll see what happens with Van djk this year but I do like our offensive pieces around him and you got chz maluia at running back yes he is coming off the injury so that'll be something to look for to see how he starts but I'm really excited for chz malcy and man that wide receiver Duo Bryson Green and will Pauling man that's going to be really exciting to watch those two go to work in hopefully an Air Raid Offense and I'm really excited to see Tyler van dijk our new quarterback the transfer play in this game tomorrow you know the overall stats from last year aren't going to you know really uh blow you out of the water but you know with the 19 touchdown to 12 interception ratio only 2700 yards but if you take out a really bad stretch from October going into November where he had like four games in a row with picks or maybe it was five and multiple two interception games and even a three pick game the other six games that aren't not including that stretch of games with the picks the six other games you through 14 touchdowns to one interception and the record was 5- one for Miami so I'm really excited to see Tyler van djk in this offense starting tomorrow one player we are going to have to keep our eye on is running back Jaylen Buckley for Western Michigan as a red shirt freshman last year he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns so definitely a player this defense is going to have to focus on obviously the Badgers are going to be huge favorites in this game but again you got to beat the bad teams if you want to have a chance to make the college football playoff obviously there's a better chance this year with the 12 team expanded playoffs but you got to win these winnable games especially against Western Michigan big name to look for on the defensive side of the football is Hunter Waller the safety for the Badgers and you know obviously it's a non-conference game Western Michigan wasn't the greatest team last year but you can't take these games lightly yeah it's a non-conference game but you want to win these games so you're in a good spot heading into conference play like you know the past couple of years where we've lost early in these non-conference games to Washington state that really set us back early in the season so it'll be important to win these early games against teams like Western Michigan again tomorrow night Badgers and Western Michigan at Camp Randall 8:00 p.m. so excited that Badgers football is finally back so as always if you enjoy leave a like on the video subscribe for more Wisconsin Sports content leave a comment down below for your score prediction for this game and I'll see you all in the next one [Music] he
