Harvey Weinstein the disgraced former movie Mogul has been indicted on additional sex crimes charges now we don't have details on what he has been charged with the indictment remains under seal but prosecutors at a hearing on Thursday disclosed that there is a new indictment and that they are seeking to uh try Weinstein on these new charges at the same time they are retrying him on the underlying charges he was originally convicted on back in 2020 now an appeals court in New York reversed that conv ition forcing prosecutors to retry that case in the interim prosecutors have been talking to other women other accusers and presented more evidence to a grand jury resulting in this indictment which could involve up to three additional accusers and allegations dating back to the mid 2000s now wiste was not in court for this hearing where this was disclosed he has been recovering at a Manhattan hospital after having emergency surgery to drain fluid from his heart and his lungs and the judge said that he can remove in the hospital and not have to go back to jail while he recovers from that and other medical needs Weinstein's indictment remains under seal which means that the details in it have not been made public and that will be the case until he is arraigned that can happen perhaps as early as September 18th if he is well enough to be in court
