amen okay there there we go I don't know how to make it big so it's going y'all can y'all good with that amen praise the Lord um so we are still in the Book of Romans I got a lot of papers y'all but I promise y'all I won't be up here too long um and so I'm going to do um a quick overview from last week's lesson um Elder Charlie went over Romans uh chapter 2 veres 1- 11 and the focus was on the Jews and how they were given the law but then not walk in the law they felt I'm sorry I need my glasses cuz I show see yeah just go and get my [Music] glasses it's a black case or GR okay sit not in there oh time I left my glasses at home I might cuz I can't it's blurry and I can't see I think I must I'm probably left them right at the house you think they in your car yeah no they at home cuz I have my upstairs pair and my downstairs pair and I left both of them thank you oh praise God I got sight yes go all right so um so as I said that the Jews they were given the law but they not they did not walk in the law so they thought that they high moral standards gave them the right to judge those that were not like them they took their Association to Abraham and the Covenant that God made as a get out of jail free car and a and a protection for the judgment and the wrath of God so this week we're going to continue to look at the heart of God in his position when it comes to the Judgment of the righteous and the hypocritical man so going into y'all's lesson um starting with b God's judgment upon the Jewish man and so um our scripture text for is going to be Romans Chap 2: 11-13 and the topic is God's principle of impartiality so the word reads for there is no partiality with God for as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God but the doers of the law will be justified that's good for there is no partiality with God the word translated partiality comes from two ancient Greek words put together meaning to receive and to face it means to judge things on the basis of externals preconceived notions and so I looked at the word partiality and in my Bible the version it says favoritism and so the definition is the unfair support or favor shown to one person or group especially by someone in Authority it involves favoring one person or group over others with equal claims so we are all children of God we all have claims to the kingdom of God but it's how we live our lives that's going to affect whether or not we are able to take part in that claim so all of the Jews were known as God's chosen when it came down to the favor of God as highlighted throughout the Old Testament beginning in Genesis no one person is different from another God is going to judge both those who have been given the law and have not been given the law equally so there's no excuse that's it right moving down to be for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God but the doers of the law will be justified so the difference between the Jews and the Gentiles is not simply a matter of race but of revelation God through Moses gave the law to Israel represented the Jewish population the Gentiles never received such law but they had some knowledge of God so although their introduction to God may have been different they both had a responsibility to acknowledge the way and the will of [Music] God so going into can I get somebody to read James 1 12 22- [Music] 2 James CH 1: 23- 2 James 1 ver 21-25 and I'm reading from the N verion therefore get rid of all more filed get of it and the evil that is so prevent and human humbly accept the word planted in you which can save you do not M listen to the word and so deceive yourself do what it says anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in in a mirror wow and after looking at himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like but whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives Freedom that's good and continues in it not forgetting what they have heard but doing it they will be blessed in what they do amen and so so this scripture it really jumped out to me because when you think about the Jews the Jews was giving everything that they needed in order to live that life that God had called them to live but they let that go to their head and so they thought that they could still do what they wanted to do because they were so-called the chosen people and that they were a little bit Above the Law I don't going to say they was too much above the law but they just felt that it didn't really apply to them so even though they had the law and they still did what they wanted to do and they judge others according to that law that they decided that they were not I don't want to say that they had to live by it's a word I'm looking for but it's going to come to me later on but I don't they was kind of like saying they was above the law we was given a law but we ain't got to do it word for word but you still need to do it yeah right right right so Hypocrites exactly they were Hypocrites and so just like you knowley had did the um the demonstration last week just because you know you think you all that this that bag of chips but somebody else is doing the same thing you doing you can't see what you're doing but you quickly point out what they are doing and so that's what the Jews were doing with the Gentiles and so as as many as have sinned without law will also perish without the law judgment for sin can come with or without the law so Matthew 5:45 says in that way you will be acting as true children of your father in Heaven for he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good and he sends rain on the just and the unjust the life so you are not exempt whether you have the law or you don't have the law whether you read your word or you don't read the word you are not exempt that's good so moving down into Romans 24-16 and it reads for when Gentiles do not have the law by Nature do the things in the law these although not having the law are a law to themselves who show the work of the law written in their hearts their conscious also bearing witness and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them in the day when God would judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel now the chapters the verses previous to this we were God was focusing on the Jews where Paul was talking about the Jews and so now we're going into the Gentiles for the ones who were not physically given the law but they still had access to the law they still had examples of of God's Will and so now Paul is focusing on them and so if I can get somebody to read the those verses um Romans 24-16 in the Amplified version for me please cuz I like the way that that one put it 24 16 when Gentiles who do not know the law since what since it was given only to the Jews do in instinctively the things the law requires Guided by their own conscience they are a law to themselves though they do not have the law they show that the essential requirements of the law are wi in their hearts in their conscience their sense of right and wrong their moral choices bear witness witness in their thoughts eternally accusing them accusing or perhaps defending them on the day when as the gospel proclaims God will judge the secrets all the hidden thoughts and concealed things of men through Christ Jesus amen so basically that says just because you wasn't told don't mean you don't know so if I go to the store and I take something that I did not pay for did I know it was wrong even though nobody told me it was wrong do I know it was wrong so I was thinking as I was going through my lesson and I was I was thinking about my dog so we have a dog Pepper and she likes to you know sneak and do little stuff and so one day my husband had left his airpods on the I think he left them on the couch or on a coffee table or somewhere in the living room and so went to sleep woke up the next day and the earpod had got chewed up pepper tow that thing up and so my husband said Peppa did you do that and Peppa put his head put her head down she tucked her tail and she went to her crate so Peppa knew that she did wrong we never told her don't touch the airpod but she knew she did wrong because in the way that she behaved when we told her Peppa did you do this she just went she tucked her tail and went on to her crate cuz she knew she was in trouble and so because God is in our hearts we know when we are not doing right we know even if we had not even if God had I'm not going to say God but even if we were not told and this is the same thing with the Gentiles they may not they were isn't given the law but they knew right from wrong amen they knew that this was not what God has called me to do so just because you don't physically have the word God is going to always be in our hearts and God is going to we have the Holy Spirit who's going to be like okay you know that ain't right you know you wasn't supposed to do that I shouldn't have to tell you I shouldn't have to show you in black and white that this is not what you're supposed to do you know better you know you're not supposed to do that and so the Gentiles was like okay well you know we wasn't never given the law so why should we have to be judged based off of that law well yes Mother go ahead you know when you when you talking about your your dog and uh my son I Second Son Chris they have a dog and her name is uh his his name is Rosco and just to sit and and see how obedient that dog is I I mean sometime I'll be looking at that dog and I be thinking well why is it so hard sometime for for children to obey you know some um it it it just really amazes me to see how you can train a four-legged animal and whatever and then it take so long to train your children and whatever but it it's just really it's just really something you know and they know exactly they know exactly when they're doing something wrong because they'll be looking at you you know well they can't talk and say oh I'm sorry they can't say that but they by their action like you said you can tell they know what you talking about about they know when they done something they was supposed to do a whatever went in a room or something they was supposed to go on something like that but that's special that's good brother it made me think about you know how Paul says later on in Romans that you know it's because of the lawlessness within us and you know if you tell a dog okay they did something wrong and you tell them you know that wasn't right or that's wrong or don't do it again that's right nine times out of 10 they not going to do that again but what about the human that's right you tell us not to do something we might wait a little while we might act right for a little bit but then you know we G to come back and still do that same thing that we knew we was not supposed to do because we now have fully given ourselves over to God our animals you know they they want to be they want that praise from their from their owners they want to be obedient once you teach them something n times I tell they going to pick it up and then they going to do right but we as humans we don't always do that sometimes we just want to be in ourselves we want to do we want to do when we want to do it how we want to do it knowing that it's not right and say Lord please have mercy on me later on that's right yes sir yeah I I think it's important to remember um uh how how Paul addressed them uh when you start Romans um they were new converts and the Jew a whole bunch of mixed up folks were there Jews and Gentiles um but nevertheless if you go back to Jeremiah 31 and3 33 this is what uh the prophet said to them for this for this is the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days declar the Lord I will put my law within them and I will write it on their heart so that's when these folks decide to give their life to Christ or become Believers then God automatically placed something in them that they would have an understanding what right that's good not that they did it they did but they knew yes sir and so and then speaking of the hearts we getting ready to go into that um moving down into those verses um of 14 through 16 and it says although not having the law are a law to themselves Paul's explain why the Gentiles can be condemned without the law their conscience which is the work of the law written in their hearts is to condemn them or theoretically this law on the heart is enough to justify them so although the Gentiles have not physically received the law they had several driving forces within them to guide them into Godly behavior and I highlighted in our lesson they have the first thing they had was their heart as pastor Joe has said God placed it on their heart already so that's God already manifesting himself within them the second thing they had was their conscience mhm and I put a note down it says after you have done that thing you begin to regret it because you knew in your heart it wasn't right and although all those red lights were flashing around you you Cho the choice you made was to ignore them so God already touches our heart we have a conscience which is our holy spirit that tells us whether or not what we doing is right or wrong and then the last thing was their thought process yeah and so when you know that you've done wrong how long does that thing stay with you how often do youl that scenario in your mind on how it could have been done differently so that is God working all day within us they are little little Clues and little things that God does in order to tell to show us that okay I'm I'm I'm with you I'm I'm trying to keep you from going where you don't need to go but you don't want listen to me I'm I'm flashing the lights and I'm ringing the Bells but you still ignoring me so you have no excuse that's right because even though I haven't shown you in black and white I am still showing you that I am here that this is what I expect of you this is what I want for you this is the will for you and so that's what God was doing in the Gentiles he was showing them that even though you know I haven't physically given you my law that I am still showing you the way and so it's up to them in order to to go the way in which God is pulling them to so moving down into um we're going to go to C and it says their conscience also bear witness people who have never heard God's word directly still have a moral compass that they are accountable to which is the conscience in which we were talking about and so Romans 1:20 says for ever since the word was created people have seen the earth and the sky through everything God made they can clearly see his invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature so they have no excuse none at all for not knowing God God has put everything in this Earth for us to be able to see his glory his will his way you know the way that the the wind blows and the way that the trees move and the way that the water flows and the way that the sun just sits in the sky and the way the moon comes when it's supposed to and where the stars just appear God has showed himself in so many ways that all you have to do is look no I I like that you said that because when you look at nature you look at theology that's known as general Revelation there's no excuse you know what I mean because the bird the bees the trees and all anything that deals with nature that's General Revelation and then when you look at special Revelation which is anything deal with prophecy you know the biblical text in which we live our lives by it's like there's no excuse for you to do what you're doing so I'm so glad that you highlighted that that's good so moving down into it says yes oh sorry go ahead oh J when I uh when you were saying that it made me think of how uh when you're in nature like when I'm riding my bike and I'm worshiping and I'm looking at little things I'm looking at how the wind blew down a big tree but yet a flower is still swaying you know and and and it it has no broken petals it has the stem has not broke but you see Mighty trees falling down and and when I at the littlest and tiniest thing sometimes I I might see something cut catch my eye I stop and I get down and I start looking I might see a caterpillar you know just going by or I might see a baby snake going across a path and it just makes me think that I am signif insignificant in the and and although we as humans have a big role in God's plan but we're just a small part of the thing things that God has created he is such an awesome God and nature itself I just when you look in that nature you can find things uh to preach about or to teach about just looking and being in tune with nature amen amen and as you was talking about that um ELD BR I was um and I don't remember somebody was telling me this story it was about um a storm had came through a city here in Texas and I think it was something I might have watched but that tornado flattened everything in that City minus one building the building was I don't even think it was like in the center of the city but it was just a thought that everything was gone and that one space got preserved don't know why maybe it was God's will but it just shows the Majesty of God Amen and the sovereignty of God we know that you know natural disasters they happen and our Bishop had talked about that before how natural disasters occur but for everything around it to be gone and that one thing be left that kind of makes you think about you know how how the mind of God works you know he he left that there as a test up to who he was yes it was unfortunate that lives may have been lost but for that one building to stand and that's how God kind of works in us you know everything could be going on around us but something there something's going to be planted firm for you to be able to keep your eyes on God to know that God although everything around me is going crazy it's going haywire I know that you are still here with me I know that you got me I know that you're going to you're going to leave some something there for me to hold on to to trust and know that even in the midst of everything that I'm going through I know that you still have me you are still standing here and so this whole lesson is just talks about how God just leaves things for us to be able to know that I am here I am with you all you have to do is trust me all you have to do is obey me all you have to do is walk in my word and I got you the kingdom is yours all you have to do is listen and obey amen so um moving down we're going to go to D and we're still in um 14- 16 it says the day when God will judge on this day no man would Escape God's judgment by claiming ignorance of his written Revelation and we've been talking about this throughout the whole beginning of this lesson how you just just because you don't have the word don't mean you don't know right violating God's internal Revelation is enough to condemn us all God therefore will judge All Nations according to the use and abuse that they have made of this word whether it was written in the heart or written on tables or stoned there's no excuse God does not judge us on the things that can be seen with the human eye but he looks at the heart of man things that are thought said and done in secret according to my gospel notice that the day of judgment was a part of Paul's gospel he did not shrink from declaring man's absolute accountability to God sometimes you just got to let people know dude you are not exempt come on some people just think that you know I might do a little something here and there but you know God know my heart people yall know when people say God know my heart don't they just burn y'all up I'm sorry but you know that's just that's just an excuse I'm like God know my heart yeah he know your heart is rotten it's wicked it ain't no good it need to be cleansed that's what God know about your heart stop using that as an excuse get yourself together I digress um it said God would judge the secret I'm going on F God will judge the secret of men by Jesus Christ this concept is distinctly Christian the Jews taught that God the Father alone would judge the world committing judgment to No One not even the Messiah yes moving into to our next set of scriptures it's going to be Romans 2:17 through 20 I'm trying not to move too fast y'all but we going into this um Romans 2:1 17-2 says the boast of the Jewish man indeed you are called a Jew and rest on the law and make your boast in God there they go again the law got me y'all I ain't got to worry about nothing the law got me and know his will and approve the things that are excellent being instructed out of the law and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind a light to those who are in darkness an instructor of the foolish a teacher of BS having the form of knowledge and Truth in the law that what Paul telling them about themselves I love it it says indeed you are called a Jew and rest on the law every boast of the Jewish man in his passions concerning some possession of law they think cuz they got it they good yeah the Jewish people of Paul's day were extremely proud and confident in the fact that God gave His holy law to them as a nation they believe this confirmed their status as a specially chosen people and thus ensured their salvation they thought they had the Golden Spoon that they was good to go with nothing going to touch them they can do and say what they wanted to do because I got the law off covered have y'all met people like that who think they entitled because of what they got or where they are because of their status their positions I'm good y'all ain't got to worry about me I got this having the form of knowledge although the Jews should gracefully gratefully receive the law as a gift from Paul from God Paul will show how mere possessions of the law justifies no one for the Jews they have been given all this information and instruction on what to do and what not to do but they are quick to tell others but don't do it yourself yes sir um you know when I think about the law you know I hear a lot of uh Believers say this you know that we're no longer under the law but we're under grace which I got that Grace part but the law has a purpose and it serves it serves a purpose you know the law is in is liking or indicative to like a mirror a mirror you look at you can look at your face in the mirror you mentioned earlier in James chapter one you know you can look at your face in the mirror if something is out of place on your face that mirror does not have the power to correct that you do that's you do so so so the law can show you what is wrong but the law does not have you the power give you the power to correct what is wrong so that's just some one one the law it's important the law has purpose yes yes that's good that's good grace is only going to take you so far that's right amen so moving on I'm moving y'all moving on to Romans 21 through 24 and it says you therefore who teach another do do you not teach yourselves and Paul is still telling them Jews about themselves y'all you who preach that a man should not steal do you steal you who say Do not commit adultery do you commit adultery you who abort Idols do you rob temples you who make your boast in the law do you dishonor God through breaking the law for the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you as it is written wow there was nothing they could say right ain't nothing you can do just say a amen and ouch he called them out he put their feet on the carpet say how can you say they can't do this but you doing the same thing they throw the rocks and they hid their hands so it says and you therefore who teach another do you not teach yourself it comes down to this principle you have the law do you keep it you can see how others break the law do you see how you break it also on yeah and I'm I'm I'mma talk about that and I know this is this is just you know for our our day and time you know I fuss at my husband all the time cuz he be speeding that Jer can go up to 90 real quick and like why are you speeding why are you going so fast but you know there's been some days I got up to 90 myself so like I can't really talk about him if I can't talk about myself and that's just something to put in play for today but it's sometimes that you know we can do things but we gonna get on somebody else for what they doing even though we did the same thing but it's okay when I did it because you know it was a reason for that you know I I had somewhere to be but you know he probably had somewhere to be too but he just like to speed all the time but you know that's just it just the matter of the fact is you know we can quickly say that you know you know you know you know you ain't supposed to do that but I just did it but you don't know I did it cuz I ain't show you I did it but I saw that you did it right so that was the Jews you know they was like okay hey I saw you throw that rock even though I threw the rock yesterday but you didn't see me throw the rock but I saw you throw the rock so I'm going to tell you about yourself right anybody comments no we going keep moving there it say much of the renic Judaism of Paul's day interpreted the law so that they thought they were completely Justified by the law Jesus exposed their error of such interpretations um somebody can get Matthew 59-48 for me please five um start at verse 19 and I'm probably going to stop you somewhere in there but go ahead and start at 19 this is Amplified version whoever then breaks or does away with or relaxes one of the least important of these Commandments and teaches men so shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven but he who practices them and teaches others to do so shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven for I tell you unless your righteousness that is your uprightness and right standing with God is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven you have heard that it is said to the men of old you shall not kill and whoever kills shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by court but I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or Harbor's malice that's enter me apart against him shall be liable to and unable to escape escape the punishment imposed by the court whoever speaks contemptuously and insultingly to his brother shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the Sanhedrin whoever saves you cursed fool your empty-headed idiot shall be liable to and unable to escape the hell of fire that's good Dev so I know that's going to keep going on telling basically what we had just talked about if you do this and then you don't do this or you do this or and don't do that but it's basically saying that you know and just like it says in our lesson God would hold us caliber for both our motives and our actions if you think it you've done it if you whispered it you did it just cuz nobody heard you just cuz nobody saw you we know that we have our God who sees and hears everything whether it's spoken or unspoken so you still have to give account to that and so that's what God was talking about I mean in Paul's Ro Paul's letter he was talking about if you did it you have to account for that you can't say I didn't do it but you know you did it but then you did it and I saw you do it so now you need to do something about it amen so going down to three I'm sorry you know as I'm listening to us in the lesson there there there's a there's a hint of arrogance in the Jewish um their belief as you're saying is because they reive the law of God they were better than people who hadn't received the law of God so therefore everything they did was to them justifiable because they were living the law of God when actually realityy they were judging as you're saying and I think about today um I I run into people especially Christians who because they claim to live the life of the Bible anybody who not living by the word of God is violation and life and subject to um damnation but it's not our call it is it's God's call and so I run to people and it bothers me that some that I run to they so get egotistical because they know God's word and claim they live by God's word but like you saying in the lesson they're not above sin just like those of us who don't claim to be in God's word so we have to be conent that as you're saying that when we talking to people we're not judging people and we praying with for people like you're saying amen that's good and I thought I was thinking as you were saying that going back to um something that Bishop had talked about when we was talking about Sin is that every day we sin whether we know it or not we sin we can know the Bible inside and out upside down backwards and forwards somay sometime throughout them 24 hours you going to do something you wern't supposed to do that was not right in the eyesight of God which is why there is Grace and there is Mercy that God has given us and then we have to confess our sins whether we knew it or not you still need to pray every day Lord please forgive me for what what I have done not if I have done it not if I may have done it if I thought it Lord forgive me for my sin cuz every day as while we are in this flesh we are going to do something we're going to say something our face might turn one way our eyes might go another way that was not contrary to the word of God so every day we we're Sinners that's that's just just of the matter until we leave this earth we are going to be Sinners Point Blank period yes Mother yes just just a a bit of what you just say now and I think y'all probably heard me share this before but at night time when I get ready uh to go to bed and I lay down in my bed I said father God if there's I thank God for for just taking care of through the day and and everything and stuff like that but I said father God before I go to sleep if there's anything in my life that I need to be forgiven for would you forgive me because the Bible that us know we have to be ready at all time we don't know when the father going to tell his son to go and receive his bride said it could be at night as a thief in the night or could be early morning cro I don't know how many of y'all got chickens and stuff and whatever they rooster cow but sometime they can cow real early so we have to be ready at all time but I don't want to go to sleep and and I just I just want want to know that I had contact with Father God amen amen amen and going back it says God applies his law to both our actions and our attitudes and I think about my job cuz I work from home so you know I don't I don't really have a lot of interaction with my my co-workers but they send me emails sometime they'll send me messages on on the team and I find myself some days reading those messages and I'm rolling my eyes and then I have to be like Lord please forgive me because they be like oh Jasmine she's so sweet she's so nice I'm like if y'all ever saw my faces behind this computer screen and some of the things that y'all be sending me some of these questions that I have to constantly answer the same thing over and over again and I had to catch myself because they they know me as this sweet nice person and I never would want to tarnish that thought of myself and so I have to constantly ask God God I just need you to help me to be that witness for you help me to be the Jasmine that you have called me to be because I know within this flesh you know I can make some faces I can say some things under my breath you know but I have to ask God daily cuz some of these people be like I I just told you this why did you not get it so you know yeah and God judges us on our thoughts he judges us on our actions he judges us on Expressions so if I make a funky face at the computer screen they didn't see it but God saw it and so now I know I need to go and ask God for forgiveness to help me not to do that again just to give me a little bit more patience with his people so you know everything that we do we are accountable for that um so we're going to move down to um C where it says the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles Because of You Paul reminds the Jews that God said in the Old Testament that the failure of the Jew to obey the law causes Gentiles to blaspheme God our actions affect the actions of others whether we know it or not I mean growing up and for my example I had and I put our Behavior as Christians is a direct reflection of God if we say we are his children that we must behave in a manner that represents him and so growing up and I'm sure a lot of y'all had probably heard that y'all parents probably said the same thing growing up my mama always used to tell us you know when you in the house I don't care what you do but when you walk out the doors y'all need to act like y'all love each other for me and my S it was five of us and so they were like don't let nothing that you do outside these doors tarnish the Bond's name cuz we not having it and so that's the same thing with God God sees everything so we as his witness we know everybody's not going to have the word of God but we sometimes we stand in as the word of God and so if we're going out there in the world and we acting straight Plum fools what is that saying about the God that we serve what kind of example are we putting out about him how are we going to bring somebody else to him if we acting out of source not of character so we have to always conduct ourselves in a manner to where God is going to be pleasing that that soul that is trying to reach God and just can't get to him we're able to be that connection to God for them that's good Lord all right so we moving on we're going to go on to our last set of scriptures and that's Romans 2: 25 through 29 and so it says for circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law but if you are a breaker of the law your circumcision has become uncircumcision therefore if an uncircumcision ized man keeps the righteous requirements of the law will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision and will not the physically uncircumcised if he fulfills a law judge you who even with your written code and circumcisions are a transgressor of the law for he is not a Jew who is one outwardly nor is circumcision that which is inward in the flesh but he is a Jew who is one in inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit not in the letter whose praise is not from men but from God and so reading this it talks a lot about circumcision and so going back into the Genesis the the Book of Genesis where it talks about um the circumcision it says the act of circumcision was considered the Seal of the Covenant between God and Abraham and you can go back that's Genesis uh 17: 9-10 is when it starts and it was not about the act of the circumcision but what it represented which was the coveted relationship between the Abraham between Abraham his descendants and God so being that the Jews had this relationship with God but chose to do their own thing it was as if the circumcision never happened so because they were out there going against the law the circumcision was just it was a physical act of what it meant right but because like you said because they were doing what they wanted to do it's almost like they was throwing that circumcision back in God's face they was throwing what God had meant for it to be back in his face like we don't care it doesn't matter to us so that's why it says even though you went through this whole process of being circumcised because of what it stood for this was the The Covenant that I had made with your people now because you want to do what you want to do it's like you negated the whole process what was the reason for it it doesn't even matter you put yourself through that for no reason so in Paul's day some rabbis taught that Abraham sat at the entrance of hell and made certain that none of his circumcised descendants went there some rabbis also taught God will judge the Gentiles with one measure and the Jews with another and all Israelites will have part in the world to come circumcision or baptism or any ritual in itself doesn't does not save anyone and can somebody get Luke 3 and 8 for me please [Music] I have the Amplified version bear fruits that are deserving and consistent with your repentance that is conduct worthy of a hard change a heart of born sin and do not begin to say to yourselves we have Abraham as our Father for I tell you that God is able these stones to raise up descendants for Abraham amen so going down to what is in our lesson in part uh four it says circumcision and baptism do about the same thing that a label on a can does if the outer label doesn't match what's one on inside something is wrong if there are carrots inside the can you can put a label that says peace but it doesn't change what is inside the can so although they had got the circumcision they was you know made was Covenant with God it was an outer thing but the heart never changed that's good you better talk that's being born again changes what is inside the K and then you can put the appropriate label on the outside that's good circumcision had become an empty religious ritual for Pride for most of the Jews they trusted in the symbol to save them rather than what it was supposed to be a symbol of which was their relationship with God their Covenant with God therefore circumcision therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart and be stiff necked no longer and that's Deuteronomy 10:16 therefore if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law if a gentile were to keep the righteousness requirements of the law through his conscience As Romans 2:15 shows would not he be justified instead of the circumcised jewi man who did not keep the law the point is emphasized having the law or having a ceremony isn't enough God requires righteousness Morris quoting Manson if they are loyal to the good they know they will be acceptable to God but it is a very big if and will not the physically uncircumcised if he fulfills the law judge you who even with your written cold circumcisions are a transgressor of the law this is God's answer to the one who says what about pygmy in afca who has never heard the gospel God will judge that pygmy by what he has heard and how he has lived by that and we talked about that earlier in this lesson that even if you don't physically have the word somewhere down the line you done heard about God there's no way around it you could be in the most remotest parts of the the Earth right you're going to hear about God somehow some way if you don't physically hear it like you said you're going to see his works you can't get away from that Elder know I was going to say that um even in life you know we we come across circumstances that are that shows us that there is a God you know like if we're driving and the road is slippery and you lose control of the car you're probably going to say oh my God help me it's an instinct it's what it's in uh response it's a response that you going to get because that's who that's who he created us to be he placed that in us and we're going to call out to him so I'm sure the piggy might have been climbing a tree for mangoes or coconuts and almost fell and called for God just like that so we we will know who he is because his word says every Tong will confess and every KN will bow we will know who he is amen that's good that's good I think about um even those who say they don't believe in God let something happen the first thing got that mouth is going to be Jesus so you you can say you you you don't like that all you want to but I bet you you going to be calling on them when you need them okay amen of course this means that the pyy will be guilty before God because no one has perfectly lived by their conscience or perfectly responded to what we can know of God through creation the problem of the innocent native is that we can't find an innocent native anywhere what about the pygmy in Africa who hasn't heard the gospel is a good question but there are two far more important questions what what about you who hear the gospel but reject it come on what excuse is there what excuse is there for you what about you who are commanded to take the gospel to that Pym in Africa but refuse to do it oh my how many times have God sent us out to go speak to someone I know elder brother talk about it all the time where God sends you to somebody and you don't do it now that now that's on your hands because God gave you instructions I know mother talked about that as well when God sent her to go talk to I think it was a neighbor and she didn't go and because of her not following God instructions what happened yeah not only what happened to that neighbor what happened to you what was your punishment as a result of your Disobedience so we are not only called to have that word for ourselves but we are called to take that word out to the highways and to the byways to those people who cannot get the word you are the word so we all have a responsibility yeah and and it's good that you say that uh other ja when you talked about these pig is a lot of people you know further realize and understand you know that God's omnicient that he knows everything uh John the Revelator wrote in John 14: 6 when God released the angels on the earth that one of the J is going to be flying all over the Earth and he's going to preach the gospel to every tribe every nation and every Kindred and every tongue that's in the book R so nobody's not going to get to the part where they don't hear it so God going to send an angel the Angels going to preach it so yeah they going they going to hear but God covered all the bases Ain no excuse so what D it says who's praise is not from men but from God all the outward signs of religion may earn Us Praise from men but they will not earn Us Praise from God the evidence of our righteousness with God is Not contained in outward signs of wordss and it is not assured because of our parentage the evidence is found in the work of God in our hearts which shows itself fruitful we know that everything that we do it starts in our heart amen good that's good if it's in your heart yeah you going to speak it yes ma' yeah here the scripture that says until this gospel have been preached unto all Nations not then with the son of man come and so since the Lord hasn't uh come yet and whatever somebody must yet have to hear about the Lord at least one time I imagine you know but we don't know only God cuz I was reading I think not too long ago it says uh the Jesus doesn't know no the angels in heaven only God receive Lord amen that's good so like I say God covered all the bases he going to make sure that his word is known so there is no excuse so moving on we are down to the back of y'all's page and I'm getting ready to be done and it says William newel summarizes Romans 2 with seven great principles of God's judgment that are worth noting God's judgment is according to truth that's Romans 2 and two God's judgment is according to accumulated guilt Romans 2 and 5 God's judgment is according to Works Romans 2 and6 God's judgment is without partiality and that's what we are talking about tonight God doesn't pick and choose you going to get the same punishment as the next person you goingon to get the same praise as the next person what you do dictates what God going to do no one is higher than the other no one is lower than the other no one's better than the other nobody's worse than the other as it is Sin is Sin amen there no big sin no little sin no big lie no little lie no white lie no green lie no black lie it's all the same said God's judgment is according to Performance not knowledge so there's no excuse we've been saying this all night long there's no excuse you can't say that just cuz you was not told that you are not aware is what you do God's judgment reaches the secrets of the heart so you can't hide nothing from God God know everything that's right he know all the way down to the deep down pits of your soul so no excuse God's judgment is according to reality not religious professions so regardless of what you know it's the here and now so get right with God Amen [Applause] am give her another hand [Music] amen this going to be the quickest review y ever had hey remember remember the tie these chapters together cuz we're doing it in a systematic way Bishop took chapter one and he did it in two sessions uh we just did chapter two in two sessions Elder tur did the first session of it and S jasm did the second session of it so if you remember um at the beginning of Romans right what Bishop told you Romans was about what about God okay and so when Paul after Paul got through introducing himself to these folks he reintroduced God okay that's what he did and he told him so you will find a pattern when we get to chapter 8 Paul had to tell him there's now no condemnation because stuff that he's telling them up to then is whooping them it's just telling them how to live this life and they already have the reason he had to re uh reemphasize it because they had an idea of of how to live this life okay but it was incorrect and that's what he was doing he we don't know why they got saved we don't know why they became Believers all we know is they did Paul didn't go there originally this is Paul's first trip there now the other places Paul went Paul went and laid the course down and then went back and saw them and reiterate again went to Galatians and what how do y'all believe something else who who fooled you after I came and gave you this gospel so with the Romans with the Romans he is laying it out to them right the Jews the Greeks and all those that in Rome again we don't know why they got saved but he reemphasized to them that you are God's beloved right so he identified them so the fact that they got saved now you have an obligation you have an obligation and so that's what he's laying out in chapter one now we get to chapter two what uh uh Elder turle and uh sister Jasmine covered he said don't be don't judge she she just finished it off sure did and so how can you judge when y' don't even have the right standard y you can't do it right and and what Elder was talking about was when you judge you going to be judged by the same measur you use right right right right and she came tonight and finishes off with God's judgment cuz J God is a righteous judge and he's going to judge you now something that I want to put on your mind is why would they like that in Rome all right why would they like that I like what sister Jasmine said that have you ever met somebody like that she wasn't talking about outside folks she was talking about folks inside right so they had a status they had a status they had became when they became Believers right and so they were living off the status but they didn't know how to do it right so Paul had to go in and tell them how to do this right and what's going to happen at the end of chapter one he talks about God's Wrath you w have to face our wrath guess what we're in the same predicament now we enjoy it because we're saved right but if we choose not to do right we don't have an excuse we're not exempt that's right now that we know we have to do right are we going to f we going to face a a harsher judgment than the unbelievers right right we have to do this right okay so I wanted to put that on your mind remember to tie these chapters together so when we get to the end of it y'all don't forget what happened in chapter one okay all right so that that concludes the review any questions comments praise God okay we going to get ready to go now I do have I do take this opportunity um who's running the camera we we can go ahead and close out thank you online audience for being here with with us we appreciate you for always tuning in and we'll leave you
