Texas A&M Commerce @ San Diego State

at 8 o'clock we got Texas A&M Commerce who went 2 and N last year traveling to San Diego State who went 4 and8 uh San Diego State they by 33 and A2 points on True TV not a lot of times you see college football being played on True TV but this is one of the rare opportunities you want to watch some true chv football San Diego State Baby Jaylen Maiden went 199 to 314 through for 231 yards 10 touchdowns nine interception also let his team on the ground 128 carries for 528 yards and five touchdowns and Mark Redmond LED his team in receiving yards 38 catches for 408 yards and three touchdowns none of those players return by the way um and I think was really good I mean I said this about Utah State it's just like it's the same thing with San Diego State in my eyes it's like it didn't get that much better it's just like you didn't and it's like you're playing in a hard conference Mountain West is hard is a tough conference as group of five conferences go you're probably talking about sunb is the most difficult and then Mountain West is the next cuz there's so many good teams in the Mountain West um it's just like can you compete with them like with this team and it's just like I look at it and I'm like I don't think you can I don't think this is a San Diego State team that if you you're going to look me at me with straight face and tell me that you think that this San Diego State game can legitimately compete for a Mountain West Championship I think you're crazy I think you're crazy not only Mountain West Championship compete with a lot of high-end Mountain West football teams if you're going to look me in the eyes and say that you think think this team can beat Boise State this team can beat Fresno State Wyoming Air Force UNLV San Jose State I'm going to think you're crazy cuz I just don't see this roster and think that this is a good enough team to beat any of the teams I just listed and if you're going to win big in the mountain if you're going to get to a bow game if you're going to go and actually you have to beat competent football teams you can't just beat the easy ones and it's just like I don't see the roster here that they can beat competent football teams um that being said they're much better than Texas A&M Commerce and it's not all that close Texas A&M Commerce was really bad last year they're going to be really bad again this year we if this Texas St mcer game team gave Old Dominion all they could handle but I absolutely think there not going to be a great uh Team I think San Diego State's going to win I think San Diego State's going to win by a decent amount give me San Diego State to win and cover at home [Applause] [Music]
