Pendrith on advancing to TOUR Championship: 'It's an awesome feeling'

Taylor congratulations making it to the T championship for the first time you you mentioned that was a pretty stressful can you just describe how stressful that was for you yeah um very stressful I uh didn't have my best stuff today and um I felt comfortable with a lot of shots that I had and just wasn't you know it just wasn't turning out how I visioned it in my mind and um so it was a grind right to the end I got really lucky on 17 the ball popped out of the creek um and was able to roll that Putt in and um I saw on 16 I think I was projected 28th so I figured I need a decent finish and um to make that felt awesome and um yeah I'm super super thrilled to to be going there I don't know if you're a goal sitter at the start of each season um and did you and did those goals change when you won yeah um beginning of the season I wasn't feeling great healthwise so it was definitely not on my radar but um you know I played really solid um the second half of the season and um had a lot of really really good finishes and uh feel like my game's in a great spot um so yeah after I won it was it was definitely a goal of mine you know I was hovering right around that 30 for the last couple months it feels like and um played decent last week and knew I needed to play decent this week and um and I did so it's uh an awesome feeling and can't wait to go um I know there's a lot of thoughts you know like that probably don't come to mind when you're playing but when you're off the golf course there's always stuff going on around like getting to the to a champ championship and obviously the President's Cup in your home country like how have you managed that in the last few weeks knowing that you had the opportunity yeah honestly I've been I've been pretty good mentally I feel like I kept telling myself and my wife that like this is the best year I've ever had in my career and um if it goes my way great obviously I I want to be at East Lake I want to be on the President's Cup badly um but I've had a great great season and if I didn't play great these last two weeks i' I'd be okay with it it would sting a little bit for sure but um to come out here and do it and and perform under the pressure um it feels incredible and um yeah I can't wait to can't wait to keep going
