Intro [Laughter] [Music] hello everybody I'm Mike from the rewatch project with Hannah and Mike podcast and I back here with another live music performance reaction this time a performance from Elvis presly from 1970 of the song I've lost you this is from Las Vegas I do not know this song I have not seen his performance this is all new to me so I have no idea how this is going to play out uh quick reminder to leave comments on the channel here and also please do like subscribe and set your alerts the more people who subscribe the better standing I will be on YouTube the more people will find the channel and the greater the regularity of me doing these so it all feeds back on itself I just want to mention as well of course that I do pause these videos I do talk over them I would strongly urge you to watch this performance in its entirety before watching this reaction because otherwise it will be spoiled for you but that's how I do it and that's how I'm going to do it right now so let's Reaction to performance watch how like it so he performs for the band doesn't he it's kind of um there are those personality types of of people who are natural performers and they're not necessarily even people who find an outlet for that you know music or acting or sport or whatever it might be who I just naturally like that in social situations and I get that feeling from Elvis I'm definitely going to have to watch some of these rehearsal videos that people have mentioned because I love the camarad has band that you can see herey by I watch you sleeping and in your face the sweetness all the child so good murmuring a dream you won't Rec you though it will haunt the corners of your mind oh I've Lost You Yes i' lost you I can't reach you anymore we are to talk it over now but reason can't stand in for feet who can tell when summer turns too old and who can point the moment l cold softly without pain the joy is over the why is gone we nether of us know oh I lost you yes I've lost you I can't reach you anymore we ought to talk it over now but re can't standing for feeling oh and he seems to also not only perform for the band but when he's performing for the audience he does seem to almost like he's singling people out and having this moment of connection with them and I think that these ultimately great performers are great communicators that's all it is it's communication and you do see that Elvis is capable of communicating on a micro and macro scale he can reach these big audiences but you do see him having these moments with band members and individuals in the audience as well and what a thrill that must have been if you were in the audience and you catch Elvis's eye and he shares a little chuckle or moment with you and I bet there's a lot of people who carried those moments with them after seeing these performances and that's a real gift to give your audience on a large scale but on a onetoone personal interaction scale as well this is a great performance really beautiful pop song a real country flavor to it as well and he really using the band uh and those great vocalists and the strings and the horns as well some beautiful horns in this song it's dramaost I can't you anymore we are to talk it over now reason get standing for Fe in 6:00 the baby will be crying and you will stumble sleeping to the door in the chill and Sun more strings we play the parts that we have learned [Music] to lost I can't reach you anymore we to talk it over now the reason can't stand in [Music] Baseline he knows he's good I'm just going to go back a second look at this see that face there that's the face of somebody who knows this is good and again it's not that's not an arrogant thing it's he knows the whole things good he friends in the band and you know he hadn't been on stage too much at this point I I understand in the recent years so I think he's rediscovering that love and you can see it on his face and you can just feel that wow okay this is working and I'm connecting and I remember why I L this in the first place and wanted to do this and fell in love with this when I was a child and I went to church and sung and discovered the joy in all of that you know I mean it's right there look I lost you yes I lost I can't you [Music] Joy I I can't reach you anymore we are to talk it all now reason can't stand [Music] for wow that was great that was really good that was really good you know it wasn't like a flashy performance but it was just so together and so nice and so pure and the band were really together on this one and you could feel that Elvis was enjoying this performance and it felt good and it just really came together and you know look at this audience here you know lucky lucky people and lucky us for still being able to go back and watch this and I've got to say you know I'm still very new to Elvis and delving into these performances but um what a gift what a gift for somebody like me to find these things and get to experience them for the first time and then get to share those first feelings and experiences watching these and reminding you who've seen these things maybe many times of what that feeling's like it really is just a privilege and I'm enjoying it so much and I'm not going to stop so tell me what I should do next And subscribe to the channel and I'll be back soon with another reaction thank you oh [Music]
