but I'm going to tell you I live in California not Washington DC and the American people do have other concerns that we ought to be thinking about and talking about respectfully M secretary I think well let me let me finish I also know that as a government and as a country we've got to be concerned about the things that are making life hard for Americans and hard for American fam isn't it refreshing to hear someone like cond ASA rice speak the truth and Common Sense on behalf of all Americans who are tired of being being manipulated by lobbyists political vendettas and racial politics instead of focusing on these divisive issues rice called out these unnecessary vendettas using logic and facts to dismantle the panel's usual hysteria the debate began when rice clarified her stance on the January 6th riots emphasizing that while the events were significant they were completely unrelated to the issues faced by the Common Man such as heightened inflation all let me be very clear I said at the time January 6th was wrong I called it an assault on Law and Order and an assault under Democratic processes so full stop it was wrong uh law enforcement will uh determine what happened there and uh those who violated the law ought to be punished I think what uh senat McConnell may be referencing is yes it's time to move on in a lot of ways I'm one who believes that uh the American people are now now concerned about their what we call kitchen table issues the price of gasoline inflation we ought to move on to the next Generation uh the the move move ahead and uh deal with the American people's issues but isn't the whole purpose of raising these issues by the other side just to cover their massive shortcomings which have cost Americans more than something like January 6th ever would rice highlighted Rising gas prices inflation and the United States involvement in the Russia Ukraine war there is no doubt that Rice said a lot without needing to spell out the situation of the mainstream media which was preoccupied with extensive hearings on January 6th diverting attention from more important events that might have highlighted the government's inability to preserve a better life the Washington Times even noted that major news channels like absy sees EES M and misne Chi pees sen and M chose to broadcast hours of these hearings instead of prioritizing more immediate concern isn't it questionable how these channels have remained unbothered and unconcerned by the problems of the Common Man the event of January 6th does not require the concern of the Common Man considering that there are courts to handle the necessary hearings and investigations a common man already burdened with a ton of other important problems is not required to take a concrete stance on the events of January 6 why because in the end no amount of concern from such individuals or the media channels can influence the outcomes of these lengthy and drawn out hearings it was enough for most Americans to leave that to the courts and trials a fact that condesa Rice pointed out during the debate indicating her unbiased stance regarding the events that took Place really politically expedient for for Mitch McConnell to say let's move on let's move on problem is that pass will become prologue if we don't find out exactly what happened January so it's not it's not time right now we will we will find out must find out finding on we will find out but I'm going to tell you I live in California not Washington DC and the American people do have other concerns that we ought to be thinking about and talking about respectfully M secretary I think let me let me finish also know that as a government and as a country we've got to be concerned about the things that are making life hard for Americans and hard for American families isn't it quite apparent where Sunny was trying to go after pointing out Senator Mitch McConnell's statement while also implying the possibility of yet another event like January 6th if it had been ignored by the people this is political agenda at its finest diverting attention from more important matters towards unrelated events that serve as a weapon against political opponent perhaps rice saw it coming from a mile away when she clarified her stance on letting the law take its course regarding January 6th making it clear she did not want any ties to the aftermath while diffusing potential attacks from certain panelists on The View her statements were backed by the fact that Rice had not been closely aligned with the Trump Camp within the Republican party and had openly criticized Donald Trump on multiple occasions both before and after his election more importantly rice highlighted the ongoing fixation on unresolved and divisive political issues like January 6th which had overshadowed more pressing concerns of Americans these issues directly affect their daily lives such as the devaluation of retirement and investment funds due to currency depreciation unlike large scale prolonged political conflicts according to a Pew research poll last year the most important issues reported by people included inflation healthare costs bipartisan political cooperation and the drug crisis the fact that people hoped for bipartisan political cooperation indicates the desperation of civilians to forget political differences and aim to preserve a better life for themselves however mainstream television channels carrying their po political vendettas actively participate in these political games prioritizing them over the pressing concerns people want to hear about perhaps that side of the media has become quite apparent to rational people who abstain from being part of these political agendas this includes racial politics such as the African-American victimization and critical race Theory highlighted by mainstream news to spread unease and Discord among citizens platforms like the view use successful people like condesa rice Tim Scott and many others as political scapegoats to launch a racial Vendetta against their opponents which has now become tiresome panel and perhaps this is why she exemplified herself as a strong black woman who does not like to play the victim while calling out the dirty racial politics and the usual victim ress a drama the panelists especially Sunny usually love Rice gave a message of self-empowerment by exemplifying her life and career which was not appealing to the mainstream media and their viewers who have been accustomed to embracing victimhood and oppression instead of rising to challenges it is not surprising that Americans have still not overcome racial debates because in discussions about race and other sensitive topics like gender a vocal minority online often overshadows the silent majority who avoid perceiving the world through a racial lens I come out of an academic institution and uh this is a something that academics debate what is the role of race and so forth and let me be very clear I grew up in segregated Birmingham Alabama um I couldn't go to a movie theater or to a restaurant with my parents I went to segregated schools till we moved to Denver my parents never thought I was going to grow up in a world without prejudice but they also told me that's somebody else's problem not yours you're going to overcome it and you are going to be anything you want to be and that's the message that I think we ought to be sending to kids however condesa rice sitting there explaining things to people like Sunny host is perhaps one of the most visible Stark contrasts on television on one side there is rice an actual black woman who Rose from an oppressed childhood and took ownership of her life on the other side there is sunny who isn't from the oppressed background she often represents considering her ties to European slave owners if this doesn't justify the case of falsified victimhood then what does perhaps this is why rice revealed her concerns about more important issues like introducing systematic equality instead of Fanning the Flames of racism she claimed that such victimization agendas could yield negative impacts on white people who feel guilt for mistakes of the past they were never a part of and that it was unproductive if white people felt guilty or black people felt disempowered rice highlighted that to empower the black community she did not have to push the white Community backward emphasizing the importance of maintaining Unity among both races one of the worries that I have about the way that we're we're talking about race is that it either seems so big that somehow white people now have to feel guilty for everything that happened in the past I I don't think that's very productive or black people have to feel disempowered by race I would like black kids to be completely empowered to know that they are beautiful in their Blackness but in order to do that I don't have to make white kids feel bad for being white so somehow this is a conversation that has gone in the wrong direction it is important to understand that opposing the incorporation of race focused views of history and Society into curriculums does not imply racist intent the objection towards Concepts like critical race Theory or the 1619 project arises because these Frameworks resurrect past racism in new ways instead of promoting individual treatment free from ancestral privilege Freedom should be about individuals navigating in through their lives without the burden of inherited privilege
