e [Music] you [Music] Moto 2 leaves the Red Bull Ring and makes its way over back to Angelia welcome to Aragon for round 12 of the series Let's cross over to the starting grid again and get the latest of the BT Sport TNT team as a rider you almost want your your team boss to come and say we're going to do this do you do you want them to take it out of your hands sometimes yeah you want your your crew chief to make that call for you just to relieve the pressure because it's such a pressure scenario and you're thinking there that's all Jake's focusing on which way to go which way to go it it's not clear he knows what he can do on the soft tire he's not 100% sure that the the hard will give him that feeling he knows it's going to be a slow rist so yeah it's a really tough one to make that call right now Michael thank you very much and he did mention there that it would be a race of two halves Neil um getting through the majority of it and then pushing at the end yeah absolutely get that start that's a beauty for Jake you're on PO position get a good start you can control it then you can control the pace that's what you TR try to do try to be really gentle on the throttle T know you need it was interesting listening to Michael then talking about you need the decision to be made for you it sounds a bit strange that but he's so right what you need is a confident crew chief now and and your crew Chief's like your sports psychologist he'll be in your ear saying we're going to go with a soft tire the pace is going to be miles slower now lap time wise I want you doing and and giving you something to work on but saying you've got this no worry at all get one of your great starts stay relaxed don't burn the tire coming out that last corner and and and that's why our team plays so well you you don't need it to be left for you thinking all right so let's just put the hard in and hope hope that works and this is something that Jake Dixon is very good at getting into his rhythm and waiting for it to come to him and he sort of smiled when he said it's a race of two halves and it makes me think he does actually know what he's going to do yeah and he's going to wait for the second half which he's done so many times to really good effect this year yeah I'm glad I'm not racing put it that way we're looking at new on screen then he's done all the hard yards so far he does go from Pole Position our second race then the meat in the sandwich today with Jake Dixon in Pole Position Michael will join Gavin thank you very much Susie we're ready to go with laps of moto 2 here at Aragon might not be damp like the Moto 3 race start but the track is dusty and dirty challenges lie ahead for Jake Jak Dixon starting from Poll for the first time this [Music] year welcome to the Moto 2 Aragon Grand Prix this is going to be a big one Jake Dixon on Pole Position Diego Monella and Aaron canet on the front row then is Dennis honu T aino and Alonzo Lopez but Arenas ESR salak and FIA have a three Place grid penalty as well for slow riding so as I said on alino and Lopez have the second row then it's Roberts Vietti and Arenas Gonzalez aligar alongside Ramirez takes it down to 12th Ben Schneider chancha gavara Aura down in 160 to Vander gerberg and then to Zaki starts 18th 19th for binda from salak and RG bolus 22nd from meria and Sena AAS 25th on the grid that takes us then with aloba to cardas Muno Garcia 28 from FIA and harara Tas on the on that position then 31st 32nd Navaro and Alex s CR as well on the field 32 on the grid means that we'll have uh only 30 on the TV pictures we'll have to duck and change around that throughout the session but we're almost underway then for the Moto 3 for the Moto 2 aagon Grand Prix let's check in with TNT the commentary Team Soft rear tire but morera who's in second on the grid has gone with a development Tire which we saw so successful for AA and lunetta who made a late change and ran it in Moto 3 again it's a soft one it's not the hard one like we had in Moto 3 but a development kind of Tire to deal with strange conditions yeah and those development tires obviously new for the weekend you don't have a lot of previous knowledge of how that tire will react over Race distance so I think it's a bit of a risk for Doo morera but he's just witnessed what happened with the development Tire in Moto 3 so he's the the lone Rider on the front row of the grid using that rear tire then you've got Albert arenos on the third row switch to it but pretty much the majority have gone with the soft the sc0 so it will be a case of managing over the distance and what about alono Lopez right on board with him he's TOS every session uh of course he sits fourth in the championship 42 behind was second last time in Austria winner of the opening grand three in Qatar we've seen two things from alono Lopez haven't we we've seen him Dro back like a stone on some occasions and others likeing cata at the start of the Year keeping his tires underneath him yeah he's uh a difficult one to read so he works his tires hard in how he approaches the race but sometimes the speed up team have a setup for him with the bus go g chassi that allows it to go the distance so he needs to push hard he feels part to wait he loses out so he has to go hard and use those tires and he's got a medium front the harder option front tire on there um he we know he's actually very very deep on brakes isn't he he needs that underneath him so he the last of the L Breakers and as you mentioned all conditions this weekend he's been fast didn't manage to pull off the pole but he led every session up until qualifying and uh yeah Jak did steal lot away from him starting from the left side of the track won't be as concerned about the uh the slippy n on the left side now that the r has pretty much dried away and uh yeah obviously with these bikes not as much concern over spin so tension is now Rising the atmosphere is building all set for what's going to be a very entertaining race here do not leave the room because Moto 2 for the Aragon Grand Prix is about to Roar into life Aras is starting from the pit Lane the stewards have announced as well from one side the Grid's almost falling completely silent as we get ready for the lights where are they red flag at the still at the front of the field no sign of the green there it is eyes to the lights then for the Moto 2 Aragon Grand Prix to get underway lights out good start from Jake Dixon storming start from Dennis onu who's going to move up into third position might even take second place away and again Monella runs wide Dixon leads the way into turn one our take us still leaving from the pit Lane and it's Monella and alberino who behind Jake Dixon by the time we reach turn three Onie got a great launch just didn't get going L J back big one there right in the center of the track Yow Flags out isan gavara has crashed out had a high side he hopefully is okay ex a turn three no sign of a red flag needed alberina gets ahead of Diego Monella there we see Jon you oh hello Aon canet nearly getting a high side and getting sent off the circuit so conect losing out a couple of places as well he's coming out side by side now with the 81 of centa AAS oh big one I is that AAS or canet he just it's aric canet aric canet with a high side through turn nine gets launched over the handle bars and one of the main Championship contenders is out of the race so that already has changed things in the standings AA moving up as well he's on to 17th Place so where is Sergio G down in 21st no points at all for the top two in the championship Joe Roberts up to sixth now moving that Gap in to 22 points but it's Britain's Jake Dixon and now comes into pressure down the back stet to Tony alberino alberino trying to go to the extreme right hand side Dixon shuts the door alberino sends it back around the outside Dixon cly comes up the circuit to stop it onu gets ahead of ferard goes a bit wide the last corner is going to send it through on the inside line Dixon still leads we complete the opening lap here at motorland Aragon Dixon alberino Monella across the line from Fermin Al gear and Dennis onu then it's Joe Roberts someone's falling in the back boen Schneider has gone out of the last corner so three retirements already on the opening lap here in the Aragon Grand Prix well this is entertainment isn't it for you 20 8 left four retirement I'm being told on the opening lap of the race four yellow flag in this final sector as well B Shin is out it say he turn one but it is not it is the last corner on the circuit well this is just getting ridiculous the opening laps already claimed four people as well from the running order down they come again into turn nine Dixon from fmin AD gear alberino Monella on the top five and they're all still holding out on a nice position between them all and alberino going to try and get through on a Fermin out again nearly chops off his front end of the know of the wing as well on the tire Dennis Oni getting in the rear Loose as they're side by side coming into turn number 11 and 12 Dixon has the advantage at the front by 3/10 of a second alberino now been pass by um yeah Tony Alo goes up into second position timing Tas time to on my brain taking time they side by side constantly it is so hard to describe it to you as we enter the backstretch towards turn 16 now the long kilometer back straight Dixon with a three1 advantage to AR burino he should be safe enough as they touch the brakes again and it's not often that Moto 2 gives us the exciting action compared to a moto 3 race Moto 2 exactly like Moto 3 should be five Riders battling as we come across the line to start the next lap Dixon 154 108 Lopez 410 faster 153 718 so you can see the difference between them all now starting to come through alberino right on the back of Dixon and he's just trying to find a way through on the inside line he's not going to do anything there Lopez still two seconds left slow then Sam Lowes fast over thatp round here that's cuz the track freshly resurfaced and also not giving enough grip to the track ever since the overnight rain it's completely washed everything away again everyone's trying to find grip Elsewhere on the circuit it's dried a lot though since the opening sessions that's for sure Dixon still only well the top six away 310 of a second we come through the reverse cork screw at 9 and 10 Aro trying to get a good exit Monella under pressure from onu as well fardar involved in that little battle thought he might have left out the front he didn't alberino is going to put the pressure on Dixon but Dixon's not going to fold away multiple time grand prix winner out Dixon's looking a more in form and he's started this race on pole position for the first time this year as well there's a there's not pressure on him there's no pressure at all he's signed with Moto 2 for next year Dixon will be on the grid that pressure sort of been released and he's riding for his future now he's very much going okay let's see what I can do let's just go go for it and push so many riders still out there for an attack late on the brakes around the outside Fermin GE gets back through on Diego Monella with an amazing move Monella cannot fight back that is spe Mora has fought back on the inside line he got through he did the cut back oh that was beautiful got a different option so it may well be def thatp took too much load in it yeah patience as well in some of the corners he so easy in a long corner like that isn't it to get hold of that throttle early tried to get yourself out of it yeah so tempted to wind it on early now this is a sorry sight sergy Garcia down in 25th battle with chavy Cardis the the championship leader and the lead is changing in the front the lead is changing in the front ton alino takes the lead away from Jake Dixon so Dixon losing out there okay that's fine Jake just keep on trucking he'll save his tires arino is pushing incredibly quick and early don't think that's going to give it much room really and start affecting him more later on in the race let's take a look at it again this is into turn three Dixon has a poor entry and just allows into turn four downhill aluno to slip back through on the inside line very nicely done in my book there's fmin gear getting and staying ahead of Dennis onu for fourth and fifth positions just rising up the standings as well they're just touching ever so carefully as well back now on the start finish straight towards turn well the pen Corners love hearing that that noise as well as ferard gear controls it once more and the brakes Dixon just holding that line so this is a good one they're still I think running inside the top eight now actually as well but the fields time to calm down after the opening lap Antics disconnected him from the pack a little bit but he's just comfortable there he's set his was a a slower lap that time around the grip in front with Alonzo Lopez set the fastest to to get across there at 529 so they are up in the an this is the moment for Joe Roberts up the inside of onu and look at the background can it with it may have been Manny Gonzalez I thought it was Albert Arena so yeah one of the gini machines and then this was the moment downhill into the reverse cork scw offline rear walks around and yeah he's just a passenger so yeah he's not happy with the with that but not a lot he could do look at that brought some gravel out onto the track here we're going to see it again are we on board with canet here we are are see this is meria and can is in this is where the inant was we're going to see it now oh canat had a high side yeah Ma did well there to take evasive action yeah so kette just had high side tried to lift out of it and it didn't work out the way he thought it would and he just flipped the bike 15 laps to go then M five of 19 Tony Al at least the top six are all running together 1 2 3 four five six seven even count Joe Robins in I don't know why the timing Tower hasn't because he's right there in the fight it's actually the gap between Robinson Vietti is 2 seconds so I don't know why they've not put Joe Robins inside that Gap he is very much racing there in fact I even see Justina Vietti is closing in on the fight as well at the at the front they're not pulling away as much as I thought they would do 15 laps to go though in the Moto 2 Aragon gr PRI taking a seat now in the com box we're on our second camera as they'll continue to turn it the adjustment angle would be quite interesting to see how the Riders are dealing with the toe back across the line Dixon closing in again on arino and he's going for it on the inside line at turn one Jake Dixon retakes the lead he's going to leave alberino with no time to turn in Dixon brilliantly rakes the lead then well done Jake and now alberino is going to have to Diego Monella and Dennis onu uh behind to try and capitalize on it and through goes onu on the inside line gets ahead of Monella Monella is going to try and hold back so now it's all shifting again at the front well this is what we expected to see but they were Moto 3 it didn't happen Moto 2 now very much becoming the let's see what can happen race the the egg you the two and throw it's it's fantastic stuff they will again continue to to attack the Dutch Grand sorry the uh outon Grand Prix similarly to the Dutch Grand Prix now with how it was settled with Moto 2 they were running together incredibly long Dixon got a podium in that race of course and victory for Jake Dixon at Silverstone as Diego Monella moves to the inside line gets ahead of Fermin gear Al tries to come back on the inside line and makes the move back on dieo monip from get up to fourth place now with the Drone cam keeping a nice eye on the circuit flying together nicely there's the regular helicopter that will pick up the shot down the down the back stretch that we're going to look at now Dixon leads by what two per second iur has now moved ahead by the way he's now uh in 15 so 16th position Zaki is just ahead of him s chantra the the rider is next year is going to be on the Honda replacing the test rider bound of his own choice to Kiki nakagami and chantra passes Alber Ras now as well so he too makes a nice move uh through into the field there's the championship battle Garcia and agura agura 16th Garcia where is 26 no points for either of them Joe Roberts in seventh will get points brings the C down to 23 so Moto 2 becoming to be a little bit excited as well the field just cariz calming now bringing himself back into this group so he will have his eyes set on a Podium here today in the last six races Jake vixon has picked up 61 points compared to Sergio Garcia's UH 60 uh 24 sorry last three races yeah and Steve days just waved in front of my and just Tri is it the CH sh has made that kind 37 points in the last three races as a swing and we're not talking just about Jake Dixon here I'm talking about F alde here who's there in fourth place alono Lopez Joe Roberts this is going to concertina the championship right back up yeah for sure it's hard to stop the bleeding when you start to lose points and you focus on getting things back on track you're not riding as you were in the early thinking too much about the races yeah just not oh that's close between Alig and cont that big one My Goodness Me Oh Fermin crashes out in huge fashion down to the chicade and it all started with Dennis zi getting a wiggle mid Corner through turn 12 and it ricocheted down the pack Monella then tried it then we saw fermina tried to go through on the inside line and he just catapults on the inside look he tries to get P onu onu turns doesn't know he's there and then just massive accident he's okay the bike absolutely destroyed at the chicane that was stupid stupid move the team think so too I think what happened though in the previous in turn 12 onu had a bit of a moment and he thought he might have had the drive but onu surely done nothing I mean Dennis had the line he was leading into the turn he didn't know that it's not C where you typically pass so he wasn't expected the attack from behind and yeah he closed the door but he he didn't have to give up the position for Alig geare um yeah that was a little bit DED he could have uh he could have just pulled out of it a little bit sooner and of course let's not forget he's been confirmed as a gini racing Rider In Moto GP next year he's on the daati but he wanted to have a great strong end of the season I'll remind you again we've got seven races coming up now in the next nine weekends as uh you know hold the run all the way through that is a huge crash I hope he's okay yeah more than anything cuz that's a massive highight big big impact so yeah looking at his run the last three r is Alig gear 12th in Silverstone 20th in Austria and now no points scoring again today so since he's winning Germany he's only scor those few points has been a tough R now his teammates coming to I'm liking this race from Alonso Lopez I'm liking what he's put in we he's been wild hasn't he at times but you know what he's putting together a championship here now is alono LZ he's learning isn't he on the job and he's staying with that speed up team next year alongside chis Noti but he's showing just why yeah we've been critical of his approach in some races because he's overworked his tires or he's been overly aggressive in terms of his overtakes in the early laps and at the moment he looks like he's he's considered this he's thought about it and he he may well be he just putting the load into hell On's off again or is that well someone just flown off the track on one of the Red Bull bikes I think it's just in a Vietti it was Vietti way off the circuit there and got forced out wide but and he's been now passed by Manuel Gonzalez so gavar is coming to the pit Lane we're now watching Dennis honu he's been passed Now by Diego Monella Jake Dixon holding off Tony alberino in the front end of this battle for the race with 11 laps to go lap 9 and 19 and Moto 2 providing more interest than Moto 3 was if you joined us that race earlier you know just how different it was live of course on JB Motorsports 2 on Twitch and uploaded to JB Motorsports post race weekend so they're all just trying to hold their nerve here and not have a major attack back or anything it's what we like to see to be fair just stay calm keep calm and carry on as big slide again from onu he's losing so much time when re going to try and slip back around the outside there and there's a bit of cloud cover coming over the circuit here I wonder if we could get rain from MotoG GP that could be something to watch out for as well if that happens he is a class Rider who's had a really tough time of it recently I know there's probably a little Hope from him there might have been a wet race today but I tell you what testing here in Aragon at the beginning of July oh he's on the outside of Joe Roberts oh it's contact isn't it with Roberts on the way down into that one a little assistance there from Joe obviously we need to see it from an outside camera because the slip room effect he can can't get sucked in and and not want to make the the contact down the inside and no further action taken between aligar and on for that incident it was aliger who came off worst and yeah obviously it was his own fault so yeah the right call has been made right call indeed cross the line Dixon personal best lap of the race for Dixon we're coming up to the halfway point that was nine down 10 to go and he's just done a personal slap and he and aralin have dropped into the 52 bracket the Vietti Roberts incident is now under investigation as you might expect viet's actually going all the way back to Aura so Aura just steming the bleeding somewhat here yeah you can see the goup in front with VI salich and Arenas they are likely candidates to get um snapped up here by Aura in the late laps of this race assuming he's not in pain with the hand injury picked up just two weeks ago in in Austria so yeah the the points that he bags today will be important in terms of his championship race he he needs to make sure he's getting a few on the board and at this point the is is damage limitation clouds have come over here Michael not bearing down on this circuit we go down there finish in the opening round just outside the points and yeah has now being cut a drift from that ble yeah you can see like uh the crash on the open lap for Aon can it he was out a little bit wider and just couldn't tip in it was like ice out there and he knew that if he did go in the normal entry R the rear was going to come around on he just had to give it up so that's this point of the race Michael where we start looking at tires and both aralin and Dixon have a a dark band on the right hand edge of their tires but one is yeah the the warri side is the left side so the right you can cope with it doesn't need you you've got turn two turn three you lean on the right a little bit through turn six but overall you need the left side of the tower around these long hanging corners and already a lot of movement isn't there for both of them in the in that turn 16 there yeah and the championship leaders day goes some back to wor Sergio Garcia may already be in 20 24th position but he's just been given a Long Lap penalty for exceeding track limits so the championship leader now will have to serve a Long Lap penalty so that just puts pay to any Championship hopes for him today have a look and see where his teammate is on the board I go is up to 14th Place so he's going to get a couple of points from this one it was due to track limits that it's been given Dixon leads alberino by just a tenth of a second these two are now starting to have a gap it's 1.7 to Alonzo Lopez who's now back up in third position to Dennis honu in F so they are at least closing the gaps between the two as they ride into turn nine and 10 once more we're halfway in the Moto to Aragon Grand Prix and the b as Aur ises up ahead of arber Ras and now Dixon's holding off from arino so there really is a fight now developing out here for the lead of the race and it's Jake Dixon leading it come on Jake get for uh fifth place he currently sits 12 behind ayura but Aura is up to 13 so he's picking up three it's Dixon and Lopez making the biggest inroads Michael yeah they are the the the guy's Championship wise to really benefit here you don't rule Joe Roberts out yet he's obviously made a little bit of inroads on and Al alono Lopez we don't know how their pace is going to last to the end of this race yeah we also don't know what the stewards will make of that incident between Roberts and cheso Vietti yeah we need to see it from the angles that the stewards get to see it from but it could well be uh awarded a penalty in the middle this race it could be a Long Lap Loop for Joe Roberts again I do think getting sucked in not wanting to M contact but just couldn't avoid it yeah and also if you did get a Long Lap loot around the outside of turn nine there 3 seconds would only dropped him back to seventh I think at the moment so that's something to bear in mind as it stands there's the championship cascia despite not scoring I mean this is two rounds in a row now isn't it because scored only two points back in Austria and actually his lead isn't that much worse is it's fallen down in terms of the number of riders that are within a a race worth of points so all of a sudden you've got more threats to dealing with it's not just teammate Aur as it looked like it maybe two races ago we thought this is going to be an Mt helmets battle all the way to the uh flag of Valencia but right now it does look like momentum has shifted it's the CX Riders it's the the wp suspension that is down out decision isn't it in this situation injuries from yesterday the shoulder from home are we seeing this title slip away from Sergio Garcia people were suggesting he was a shoe in should have been in Moto GP but at the moment he's going to come under pressure that team will give him a round of applause he's done what he can but clearly not to be today yeah unfortunately for him we have another rent s days time will it be any better will he be feeling any stronger you get a a few days off the bike a bit of a chance to rehab and then you're back on the bike on Friday morning so yeah it's going to be tough for him and then he gets a little bit of a break before Bano to so Championship wise he's got to really steady the ship and come back strong um I know we can get accused sometimes having British bias towards Jake Dixon I think that's fair sometime we do look at things through uh Union Flag tinted spectacles at times as regards Jake Dixon but we can't you can't fail to notice the significance of him having scored more points than anyone over the last six rounds since of course let's not forget the opening round he missed and he sat out Portugal with concussion still not quite right when we were in the USA and actually then in the last six rounds a fourth place just up close to 12 in Mello but just how well is he right fantastic probably the the best we've seen in his career so far we always say about British Riders maturing a little bit later but Jak come into the season though he's a little wide there but um andina's going to go through he's going to try at least he did I do believe Jake entered the season or entered the winter at least feeling he could be world champion this year Moto 2 he can move to Moto GP the unfortunate thing for him was the change of suspension over the winter so it was a struggle in preseason test he arrived at round one and katar and he wasn't prepared to accept that he may only score a few points he wanted to be in there battle for the podium but the bike said it wasn't there for him he got injured it it meant that he missed the the round in Portugal he came back and struggled for a couple of races to really get the bike working and since Catlin since they put him back in the podium he's just been on top of his game always managing his races really well aggressive when he needs to be making those overtakes a key point to the races and yes we are biased as a British broadcaster but he's doing a great job you cannot Overlook the performance right now he's under pressure here from Tony aralin who we haven't seen the best of this year and aralin will make this tough God you think back to you know some of the battles that arino has been in over the last couple of seasons in Moto too and the people that he's come up against whether it be Pedro Costa last year who tried his mind games on it whether it you be Aura as well Tony aralin has been in the mix hasn't he all the way through and just this year like Dixon with the wp he hasn't got on with the fale tires but he has worked solidly he's worked really hard as Tony aralo um he hasn't scored points in every round they've been blips here and there but fifth last time tests recently have encouraged things for him and arino looks like now he might be a face on the scene once more indeed I SP to his crew chief Lucho Castro in Austria and I said have you changed the bike drastically it seems like it's coming together and he said no we've tuned the rider head a little more so yeah they basically put it back in Tony's Corner that he they maybe changed a little bit too much earlier in the season he surprising how close to a Dunlop setup we've actually gone back to and it's now working a quick dot of the cap to Dennis hu as well though injured missing out on a couple of races in the middle part of the Season missed out on Asen Germany silverston came back with 11th in Austria he's actually better than 11th you felt there but this is superb from the turn we always said he's going to be uh at one with a M two bank oh long left penalty coming for Joe Roberts no coming you did wonder but yeah as you've mentioned for Dennis onu water this is a On's going to go to the inside so to come AC cross there Michael onu is thinking about a nice lunge on the inside line of Alonzo Lopez into 13 and 14 for the third position Dixon holding off by the way by 10th so that's getting quite close at the front now the racing will start to close up in the last three laps so expecting a couple more to go but Dixon's TIR starting to give me a bit of worry there arino is doing as usual of continually being calm and doing it Mar Marquez if you remember Mar Marquez what he used to do on the back of everyone to the last lap then dive bomb and take the lead on the final Corners it's what we're seeing here with our bro to Dixon and it's nerve-wracking very nerve-wracking as Lopez and onu side by side and that is onu up to third place stay with Dixon maybe they're saying you can just go for it now and you know don't worry about your tires but you just want to stick with Dixon don't you and pounce at the end yeah it's nice when you're in that position five laps to go you can start to work out your strategy you don't have to focus on the any Challenge from behind so getting the the Gap update he knows that Andre's up to third andreu's there and Alonzo are there but they're not close enough to to capitalize if there's any mistake let's say on on an overt so you've got room to play and uh yeah he can he can decide what way he goes about it over these last five laps and onu is up to third now so the rookie the Turkish rookie he's been such an exciting prospect on the scene for years and years never been able to put a full season together and we've seen that again here in his rookie season but how many times are we saying recently how difficult the transition is from Moto 3 to moto 2 we knew he and merera have this ability we're going to have this ability to ride a bigger bike and he's paying off today as Joe Roberts takes his meds in very very dirty look how long it is through there and it's going to affect his Drive actually all the way through turns N9 and 10 that's really actually what's that going to be three and a half nearly 4 seconds yeah it's one of the tougher penalties of the Season he's going to get uh another position lost to teammate Marcos Ramirez but yeah you can see because it's dirty off track you see people struggling to get down through the reverse cork screw even if they're offline never mind right off the track on the Long Lap Loop and then is Dusty all the way around the outside at turn 10 costing himself big points in the championship cuz now Aur is only two places behind him and as you can see that means Robert's still 24 behind Sergio Garcia at the front Dixon versus aralo when they cross the line they'll be four laps to go in this Moto 2 Grand PRI of Aragon the best' seen from Dix for in terms of the Gap across the line he just turned the wick up by a couple of t on that occasion yeah obviously Jake had a look at Tony aralo earlier and the wrist dropped in behind for a few laps so he knows where Tony's stronger and I think Jakob be reading his pit board and maybe decid just up if he can shake him off from a couple laps to go look at the front tire there for Dennis Oni on the right hand side yeah well we did say we did wonder whether the front might be the one you really get concerned about and that's why we thought we Lopez with that harder option might have it but Lopez is dropping back very quickly on onu so onu up in the podium positions as Aura now through on binda on beti Aura really doing excellent in this second half of the race what did Dixon say on the grid and it's it's it is you Regus who do have a tire under them at this stage yeah I didn't know how I was going to be in terms of his R Fitness but at the moment he said judge this to Perfection able to do what he could do on the day and points wise to be back in the top 10 I think that's exceptional that's massive damage limitation the Gap at the front is starting to extend uh we just saw top left there you are the Gap is 6 of a second now so has Jake Dixon judged another one to Perfection here just like he did at silverston remember he did it in Austria as well not to take Victory or he could have done with another couple of laps there it was Aon him on that occasion Vietti was the king back at the Red Bull Ring but Dixon here is just opening over so slightly the Gap to Tony Aral in that looked a little bit wide actually uh from Dixon into the bus stop but I tell you what Dixon just looks like he might have judged it again yeah it looks like you know just up in the an those couple attempts it makes it difficult for the the person to to follow to the chase Rider always has it a little bit easier they can use you as a reference especially into the final turn maybe pull back 10 a second but 525 what a response from J Dixon he just oped it at the right time best lap of the race for Tony arino as well all right so we get there it's not that aino was losing on di it's Di and pushing on by a big margin and avalino having to work hard to stick with him so Dixon now opens up the Gap to seven of a second this first part the the lap is where he exceled yeah jig very strong up up the hill and looking like he's he's on Rails through this six the TR pumping a little bit through six there it is a flat out kink in in Moto 2 you are working the tire a little bit harder when you're up in the anti as J is inching closer to the previous lap record held by Sam L from 2021 yeah that's only I think 610 of a second off at the moment so really not that lot at all but Dixon starting to accelerate with three to go as I said it's the right time for him to get going and he's leaving turn Aro for dust they've pulled out now three seconds to Dennis onju who's in third place so well alberino is trying to go with him but Dixon's taking the advantage he needs to the G now 610 alberino will continue to charge through the bus stop section we come then and they're still going to push this is the Moto 2 Grand Prix of Aragon Moto GP coming away in about an hour's time for when the lights go out and the racing will begin that's at one :00 British summertime 2:00 over there in Spain and well this is just magical for Scott Dixon so for Jake Dixon I've got my Indie Car brain on Jake Dixon doing absolute superb may as well be Scott Dixon actually as well oh great he's dominating so far and he's used the tires to Perfection two laps to go then final lap we'll have with TNT but we come back for the final on the limit as the the previous lap but still strong very high on the curves there for Tony avalino down into turn one clear you know when Riders are starting to open up the corners that their front tire just doesn't feel right underneath them right Joe Roberts under pressure from his teammate Marcos Ramirez beting at all I'm not sure we happy team dinner later on today cuz this is crucial points for the championship of course it is for Ramirez too but he's got a point to prove there yeah with maros Herz he doesn't have to give up the position it's not in the contract they're able to fade it out on the rist track and D did make his way through on Marcos and then on the previous lap Marcos said his personal best to get the possession back and agura ready to pick up any pieces in fact Ramirez and agura were half a second quicker than Joe Roberts on that previous lap so maybe agura could even get past Roberts here now a this is a a remarkable race how it's changed it's end and flowed there's chantra Moto GPB good ride from him actually solid he had a Lely wrist a little bit to from the league group and got away from the others but yeah good strong performance at the front just look at the time top left your screen to9 the gap between Jake Dixon and Tony aralo he's extending the lead again on this lap this is the battle for seventh between Marcos Ramirez and Joe Roberts Roberts who sits third in the championship will only make as things stand one point on ayura who's ahead of it but but he will make a crucial eight points on Sergio Garcia who was retired from this race still going to be holding it together now Jo Roberts running onto the long back stet all the way up to six gear but it didn't look like he had the the grip and traction to well he's got the slipstream now but not close enough to make a move on Marcos Ramirez this time around but on the last lap he will be looking to find a way through on team last lap coming up Jake Dixon has started the final run let's see what is going to happen to come through down into the breaking zone for turn number one and Marcos Ramirez holding off for seventh Joe Roberts still in eighth there's Jake Dixon 1.2 second Advantage at the moment still this is absolutely tremendous stuff they'll hold it through into the last few then alberino drop back two wins in the last three races not a bad look for Jake Dixon out the British Grand Prix is it it'll be his second win of the Season his fifth career win in Moto 2 Spain has delighted Moto 2 is certainly more entertaining than Moto 3 was a couple of hours ago it's into the last two corners for the bus stop Monella passes sen AAS Aura will not catch up to Marcos Ramirez and Ramirez and Joe Robins is down Joe I think Joe's crashed he has he's dropped down to 11th Place Something's Happened to Joe Robins he has crashed out Joe Robins is out he's down on the deck while battling with his teammate and he can't believe he's throwing himself into the kitty litter now put him 27 points down over 30 points back and C back in Jake Dixon exits the last Corner two out of three wins Jake Dixon wins and holds up one finger he wins in Aragon a tremendous race win and that was Perfection pole position to the checker flag there was nobody Better Than Jake Dixon in Aragon alberino second on chief is third Lopez fourth and fifth for [Music] Gonzalez J car he's the mot GP lucky fan to wave the flag let's check in with TT first Podium standard in Dennis a return to the podium for Tony arbolino and J Dixon a second win of the season to bring himself right back within reach of this title Jake Dixon Dixon wins does the dance two wins in three races definitely body popping what a win for Dixon let's confirm how they finish then here Jake Dixon doing a handstand now as well he is loving life out there Dixon win Samar bino second onu third Lopez fourth Gonzalez is fifth chantra sixth Ramirez seventh iGo eigh spinder n Vietti has the top 10 salak sazaki bols vanderberg RG SAS as well in 16 missing out the points Monella Arenas mer mun zoba cardas Navaro es crate and now the race was Roberts foder and Garcia what a race and it is victory for Jake Dixon two out of three wins as well in the past three races not bad at all the circus moves on seven days time we'll be live again for Moto 2 and three when we go racing in San Marino next up it's Moto GP hey [Music]
