HAVE TO SORT THROUGH AS THEY TRY TO KEEP THIS FIRE AT BAY. JUST OF THE ROAD TO ME IS TINA PATEL WHERE SHE IS LOOKING WITH THE FLAMES DEAD OVER THE MOUNTAIN HIGH SKI RESORT. REPORTER: MOUNTAIN HIGH IS A BIG DRAW FOR PEOPLE THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, THEY WANT TO COME UP ITS KEEP. LOOKS LIKE THE DAMAGE MAY NOT BE AS BAD AS ORIGINALLY WAGNER IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE MAIN AREA. YOU CAN SEE BE ON ME, THAT THE SNOW MAKERS ARE ACTUALLY ON AND I WAS TALKING TO THE FIREFIGHTERS THIS MORNING, AND THEY SAID THAT THE STAFF TURNING THOSE ON THROUGHOUT THE RESORT, MIGHT HAVE HELPED A LITTLE BIT WITH GIVING ALL OF THE VEGETATION MOIST MAYBE KEEPING THE FIRE AWAY FROM THIS AREA AND FROM WHAT WE ARE WE DO NOT SEE ANY DAMAGE HERE. I DO HAVE TO SHOW YOU WHAT CAMPS THAT THE USUALLY PEOPLE CHECK THESE TO SEE THAT SKI OR THE SNOW CONDITIONS OVER THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN. UNFORTUNATELY, LAST TIME WE DID SEE THAT FIRE MOVE QUICKLY THROUGH HERE WRIGHTWOOD, THERE IS JUST A BALL OF FLAMES GOVERNMENT THROUGH THE SKI LIFTS ARE AND IT DOES AT SOME POINT LOOK LIKE THEY DAMAGE SO MUCH THAT THE CAMERAS ACTUALLY WENT DOWN AND IT WAS JUST TEXTING WITH ONE OF THE STAFF MEMBERS HERE ABOUT IN HEIGHT. HE DOES NOT HAVE A MUCH DAMAGE THERE IS AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN AND HE IS SURE THAT THERE IS SOME, BUT IS FEELING PRETTY OPTIMISTIC CONSIDERING HOW DRAMATIC IT SEEMED YESTERDAY WAS A THOUGHT THEY MIGHT ENTER FEELING BETTER THAN THEY DID BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS STILL A LOT OF ACTIVE FIRE IN THIS AREA ENFORCE ITS WAY IS SUCH CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING PEOPLE OUT SAFELY. BACKGROUND SOUNDS >> AND HOMEOWNERS DID NOT HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO GET OUT AND ONE OF THE THINGS ABOUT WRIGHTWOOD COMMUNITIES THIS ACCESSES AN ISSUE THERE'S REALLY JUST ONE MAIN ROAD AND HAND OUT OF THIS FIRE SPREAD QUICKLY SO THE PEOPLE HAD TO REALLY PACK UP QUICKLY AND 11 THE FIRST TRAFFICKING OF THIS PEOPLE GETTING OUT OF TOWN. FROM WHAT WE HEAR FROM THE FIREFIGHTERS TODAY, THEY WERE PLEASED WITH HOW EVERYBODY KIND OF HAD A PLAN IN PLACE INVOLVE THE PLAN AND GOT OUT AND THEY SAID IT WAS THOUGH EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT TO GET BACK INTO DAY TO CHECK ON THE PROPERTIES, RIGHT NOW, THE FIRE SELECTIVELY WILL KEEP PEOPLE AWAY AND MAKE SURE THAT IT IS SAFE. WE WILL SHOW YOU VIDEO FROM YOUR WRIGHTWOOD, BECAUSE WILL GOING TO BE DEALING WITH TODAY, IS NOT ONLY STILL HAVING THE FIREFIGHTERS BY THE ACTIVE PART OF THE FLAMES, BUT ALSO STARTING TO DO THE DAMAGE BECAUSE WE DO KNOW THAT THERE WERE STRUCTURES AND SOME HOMES THAT WERE DAMAGE IS JUST HEARTBREAKING OUT, TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY AND HOW BADLY IT IS. AS WE COME BACK OUT HERE LIFE, HANNIGAN, SKI RESORT THE FIREFIGHTERS TELL US SERIOUSLY HOW THE SNOW MAKERS ON, REALLY GOOD LOOK LIKE THEY GOT SPIRIT KNOW KIND OF THE OTHER PARTS OF THAT HILLSIDE, WE STILL SEE THE SMOKE AND WE STILL SOME POINTS ARE SING KIND OF ACTIVE FLAMES THERE AND SO IT'S A LONG WAY TO GO FOR FIREFIGHTERS TO GET CONTROL OF THIS AND AGAIN THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THEY WANT TO DO IS MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE SAFE SO THEY SAY IF YOU DID EVACUATE YESTERDAY, WAIT UNTIL THEY TELL YOU GET A SICK BACK HERE AND RIGHT
