18-year-old injured in shooting on Carlton Avenue in Charlottesville

police say a teenager is in the hospital with serious injuries following a shooting on Carlton Avenue CPD says just after midnight officers responded to reports of a shooting and found an 18-year-old female victim with gunshot wounds to her upper body the victim was found in a vehicle that crashed into a trailer home she was taken to UVA Medical Center and is now in stable condition police say they believe this was a targeted incident and they're asking anyone with information to reach out to them
