NEW VOCALIST!? | Linkin Park "The Emptiness Machine" REACTION

Introduction hello and welcome back if you're new here my name is Aileen Senpai and we have a brand new announcement from Lincoln Park it was just yesterday I know there was a ominous countdown all of us were losing our minds last week wondering what the hell is going on on the Lincoln Park Channel and yesterday it was revealed they have a new vocalist and they're actually starting a new tour and I believe a new album um their new vocalist is Emily Armstrong from the band dad Sarah and I've been hearing so many things on Twitter luckily I've been just trying to mute everything staying off the internet once I found out what was happening cuz I didn't want to ruin anything that's all I know so far and at first uh when I was seeing the countdown and there was speculation on who is going to be the new vocalist I believe even people were speculating Derek from some 41 I was like what is going on in the world I am so confused I am stressed out but I sat with my feelings for a bit because I've been listening to Lincoln Park since sixth grade and they got me into Heavy Music they got me into metal and I remember you know having my little cheap little player listening to Medora and feeling like you know oh my God this music is speaking to me so I took the loss of Chester incredibly hard it's been 7 years this year and it feels like it just happened yesterday I know all of us you know in our hearts no one will ever replace you know Chester Bennington he was one of the greatest most you know incredibly talented and he has a special place in all of our hearts I've had my chance to grief I've had you know my um opinions about this as well but honestly now that I'm thinking about it and I'm realizing like you know what I just am excited for them um they gone through so much with the loss of their dear friend you know a brother that they you know grew up making music with and I honestly am welcoming this new chapter um I know a lot of people are feeling a lot of mixed feelings but honestly I've been hearing a lot of good things so I'm really excited for them and I feel like they uh deserve to be back on you know the map back to making music again and if this is something that makes them happy um I'm all for it you know they deserve to be happy and I I love to see um them you know thriving I've been seeing nothing but news you know that makes my heart so happy so I'm really excited I'm really welcoming of this new Lincoln Park chapter um I hope you all are as well and honestly I'm just really excited to see this new era of Lincoln Park so yeah we have the song is called uh The Emptiness machine um so we're going to be listening to that today together so yeah with that being said let's get started with today's video Reaction your blades are sharpen with Precision flashing your favorite point of [Music] view I know you're waiting in the distance just like you always do just like you always do already pulling me in already under my skin and I know exactly how this ends I let you cut me open just to watch me blade gave up who I am for who you wanted me to be don't know why I'm hoping but what I won't receive falling for the promise of The Emptiness machine The Emptiness machine around like a revolver it's been decided how we lose cuz there's a fire under the iy I already pulling me in already under my skin and I know exactly how this stands let you cut I was even um I did not know obviously before um yesterday who the new singer was going to be and I I sat with my thoughts I was just like oh man I don't know how I feel this feels really odd to me like I I just had this like strange feeling and honestly all of that is relieved um once I started hearing her voice you know uh she has this nice like crispy uh voice and then it gets from crispy it has like a nice little like fry it gets nice and gritty and you're feeling like that nice like angst that anger what is very true um to Lincoln Park style there's always you know some good beats um you know some good keys and hearing Mike sing it just makes me so happy I know he's released um some solo stuff as well and he has an incredible voice Mike is just so incredibly talented and seeing him you know singing again and I've been seeing him lately posting talking about this you know he also live streams and on Twitch and I see him he's smiling again and like it that makes my heart feel so happy cuz I know all of us we love Mike we will defend Mike we will fight we will fight worse for Mike shenoda and you know seeing him happy again makes me I don't know just it just like warms my heart and hearing her voice like I I also picked the worst possible time to pause Emily I am so sorry but I feel like um all of us are just so relieved as soon as I heard her I saw her I'm like okay you know what actually yeah and then once that grit comes in I'm like like okay yeah this is we're I'm sold I'm all in all of my um concerns fears all of that is just gone you know obviously no one can ever replace Chester but I don't even think that's what they were doing here they're not replacing him I feel like they're honoring his memory and they did such an incredible job by finding someone who can just you know just just kill it but and we're not even done with the song we're like halfway in and I'm like y'all did y'all did a good job you guys I approve um not that my opinion matters but you know I approve of this anyways I'm back a little bit cuz I don't want to miss anything and again I'm so sorry for that awkward pause you're beautiful and amazing um let's continue who I am for who you wanted me to be don't know why I'm what I [Applause] [Music] [Applause] w't yeah oh yeah I only want to be of something I only wanted to be part of part of I only wanted to be part of something I only wanted to be part of part of I only wanted to be part of something I only wanted to be let you C me open just to watch me play gave up who I am for who you wanted me to be don't know why so [ __ ] I falling for the pr the EMP ma the EMP ma EMP I the emptiness [Music] Final Thoughts/Review oh my gosh oh man okay I was I'm not um expecting to get sad I don't know why that made me happy sad oh my gosh yeah had that's such a weird feeling I was feeling so happy and then all of a sudden um towards the end I just got really sad holy [ __ ] um I think it's a it's a happy sad feeling um cuz it's not an end of an era um obviously you know um we all miss Chester very very much and um seeing this brought me so so much joy um cuz seeing them you know back together making new music um I believe they're going to be going on tour um that makes me happy that they are uh um you know finding that love again and and finding each other again after this incredibly tremendous traumatic loss um I'm happy I promise I'm not sad I'm I'm actually really happy with this video video um she did a phenomenal job I think I'm just kind of like I feel like this so many emotions all at once like I'm sad about Chester I'm so happy for them I'm so happy for her I'm you know seeing so much online of everyone you know praising her and I was so excited to finally hear her voice I never heard um the band dead Sarah before so I've never even gotten a chance to listen to her I just saw the photos of the band members on on Twitter I saw when they announced her I saw all I saw was her name her band and what she looked like so I you know I I trusted um Lincoln Park in this decision obviously you know they care so much about what they do everything in Lincoln Park is so carefully curated um attention to detail production every little step is so so precise and I know Mike has a big hand in all of this and I know he cares an incredible amount everyone in the band but I know I could trust them so I knew um even if I was unsettled or had some concerns or you know honestly it was just still grieving um I knew that they would pick someone not just oh yeah here's J your singer we're going on tour enjoy it buy our tickets uh I knew they would pick someone who wasn't going to replace CH Chester absolutely not but was going to you know honor his memory in such a beautiful way and once I kind of sat with that I kind of started to like okay you know what I trust them they wouldn't pick just anybody and they picked the perfect person I feel like she was meant to sing in this style and she's an incredibly beautiful crispy voice but then she gets really nice and greedy and the those screams the way she sustained that note it was just yeah I I really feel like man there is no no replacing here it is she is coming in doing her own thing killing it and she did a damn good job and I really am so happy to see this new era um I know a lot of us are probably feeling the same way I wonder if anyone else after watching it God also like happy sad um just like oh man New Era of Lincoln Park it's it's such a crazy thing to um feel and welcome but I am welcoming it with open arms um I itely had my um doubts of course but honestly all of that is gone now I feel I feel actually really excited to hear more from them and honestly maybe if they come to my area catch them on a tour um I never got a chance to see Lincoln Park um life ever and that was always one of my biggest life regrets um but now we're going to honor we're going to honor and listen to some good music and you know be United by all of our love of Lincoln Park and I'm honestly really excited for this um New Era you know we're so back and it makes me so happy to see all of them performing again and making new music and feel like it's therapeutic for all of them so seeing them happy and and doing what makes them the happiest just makes me so happy and I am you know 100% supportive of it all um let me know what you guys thought sorry I didn't mean to get into my feelings that I really honestly was not expecting that but hey that's the beauty of Music it makes us feel and connect us so maybe I should just stop apologizing for feeling um anyways um I hope you guys enjoyed my video my commentary um of course watch the original um I now kind of want to listen to I don't know if she's still in the band dad sah or she's not in there anymore she's going to do both projects I'm not sure now after hearing her voice I kind of want to listen to her um in that band cuz I think she has a rocking
