how's it going guys this is the American foot Channel and uh this portino announcement for the US Men's National Team job is it's taking forever guys um I'm not I don't know I'm I'm I'm feeling weird about it because it was announced a while back that it it was already a done deal and I know all the stuff happening with with Chelsea funny enough I don't even know why I decided to wear this one today but all the stuff happening with Chelsea about his contract about him trying to get paid out I know that those are the rumors of what that's what's been holding up this deal but um I don't know it's it's taking forever guys um I had seen from from you know various people people that are reputable saying that the announcement was going to be this week and it hasn't happened um it looked like it was going to happen but it hasn't it's strange um we do have a game coming up uh we actually have a game today actually for the US so this might be it um they might announce it during halftime like they did with bur halter when he came back so might be during the halftime um I don't know I don't know what's happening there it's taking forever guys um I know that we still have some time I guess before the World Cup but it's only a couple years away at this point and uh we need to get the squad going we need to get coach or whoever the heck the the manager or the coach is going to be uh to start working with this team cuz we don't have that much that much time in reality I mean it's 2 years but as as any of you watching or should know any any of you should know watching this um International windows are like once or like once every month or every other month like you don't get to have this team all the time you don't there's injuries you don't always get to have your players with all your players with you there's all these variables you got to consider so the fact that it's taking this long it's kind of worrying CU it's taking forever I might be overreacting I don't think I am um how great would have been to uh have pochettino already working in this window um if he is going to be the manager cuz I've avoid it even though this has been out for a couple weeks now I've been avoiding this topic I haven't really wanted to talk about it cuz it's not official cuz I don't want to talk about it be all excited and then look like a clown when they announc freaking Steve trundel or something which I don't think it's going to be Steve TR but when they ance somebody else you know I don't want to look like a clown I already look enough like a clown all I need is a red nose um but yeah I I didn't really want to talk about it but the fact that it's taken so long it's kind of unnerving cuz it's like okay guys uh we got to we got to start getting someone here we got to do something we can't just have an interim coach for an extended amount of time like we did before they even hired Greg burter you remember we had um I don't remember his name anymore but he's an interim coach and he was in charge for like a year it was crazy um it was weird it was bizarre and in the end we just ended up with Greg berhalter which you know at the time it was an iffy hire but we didn't really know how bad it was going to be and you know I'm not going to say it was the most horrible hire ever but it's pretty bad pretty pretty bad um but yeah that's why I I I just don't know what's going on I'm starting to get impatient um you know as as I said we have this friendly here that's or a couple friends are going to happen you know we had some interesting call-ups you know we had the young GE coaching from the Barcelona be um he's been getting starts for the for that team in the third division of Spain that's the second team for Barcelona so as an 18-year-old getting starts it's pretty impressive as a goalkeeper um you know we have Cale we have Caleb Wy uh we have most of the regular guys on the team so nothing too special there's been people saying that it might been it might have been poaches influence in this roster I don't know I don't know if that was the case but you know it could be probably not to be honest um you know Mikey vars is going to take care of or take take this team into these friendlies uh he was the u20 coach or was it U7 I don't remember it was one of those but he's a Greg Balter guy so he's still part of of US soccer as of right now but I don't know if poach had in new imp cuz like I said we don't know if he's actually been hired you know everything points to that he's been hired you know even fabrio Romano um but we don't know we don't know that he's actually been hired you know it could be that he said yeah I'm down to do it and then Manu fires Eric ten hog and then they're like hey uh you know what I'm actually want you to coach Manu now like oh well screw the US I want to take Manchester United um but hopefully that doesn't happen hopefully we get poach um but like I said guys we have these friendlies coming up and it would have been really nice if it would have been him uh coaching this team we could have maybe got an idea of kind of what he wants to do he could have gotone to meet some of the players cuz you know I'd have to imagine that poach doesn't have a big understanding of the US player pool outside of the main guys like you know you're Kenny's and P of six and it's about it you know I have to imagine he's not too familiar with you know some of the players from the outside looking in or some of the youth players you know and why would he be he was a he's an Argentine manager has been coaching in Europe his whole career so you know it'd be nice to get him started right away hopefully for the October window he's in nove I think there's an October window right yeah October and November window hopefully he's already uh he's already the manager officially cuz man we we got start we got to start working on this somehow cuz 2025 we're going to have the Gold Cup and that's the only warm-up tournament we get before the World Cup the copaa was supposed to be kind of a buildup in a way you know getting this team like hey you're going to play against these tough South American teams rather than the Gold Cup and that was an absolute failure It's Gold Cup the rumors that there's going to be teams from different conf confederations playing in it uh from Africa Africa from Europe from South America so that's going to be great if that actually happens which I think it will happen I do believe it will happen um but guys I mean are we going to wait till right before that that tournament to to hire somebody and and start working on that like we should be doing this now so it's taking forever I don't you know I have to imagine if it is the thing with the Chelsea contract I mean I understand you don't want to lose out on that money you're trying to get paid but oh we got to get started guys cuz it's getting you know it's taking a little bit too long and I'm not happy about that and uh all of us fans are pretty impatient so anyways guys that was just a little video before this game starts uh I don't even remember time is going to start but I'm going to
