Travis Etienne Jr.. up against this defensive front you have any you know do you go back to your previous meetings with the Browns for you personally to see what where you had success uh I mean uh not really to see what I had success but to see what the failures was and see what I need to look out for and I just understanding that 95 he's he's alive each and every play and uh trying to get trying trying to get a chip on him each and every time and uh just understand where 95 is every play I feel like that's going to just make us uh just is for the game so much better was sticking in the run in the second half there dougen mentioned that he thought the offensive line was kind of taking over besides the the fumble up until that point did you feel as though things were really starting to come together for the rushing offense ah for sure I feel like uh just in the NFL I feel like especially for our team we get better as the game goes you know and I feel like uh when we came out the second half I feel like we kind of wearing them down it was a hot game and the defense kind of get tired and that's when the offense supposed to impose their will we supposed to finish the close the game and fortunately would do that but I feel like that's a great recipe for success in the NFL and we're going to continue to improve on that and get better what are you seeing in tank that has allowed him to accelerate his game from where from where it was last season uh just Coach Jerry mck I feel like the way Coach Jerry mck just approaches the game and uh the way that he kind of instills things in US is uh just way you see that night and day kind of things and uh just his confidence just not let he he's not letting the outside world get into uh get his head he's kind of just sticking here with the team uh hearing what we got to say and just letting the outside know I just stay outside and I feel like uh with uh coach Mack and the way that he's approaching the game this year I feel like sky's the limit how long do it take how long do it take you to flush a fumble like that I it it definitely was a hard I would like to say First 48 I say not 20 not 24 not 2 this one took 48 then one hit me deep down in the core you know uh just because you know we work hard all all season all off season all training camp nobody sees that nobody sees the grind that we put in day in and day out man we here each and every day just grinding our butts off and for us to come out there and play that that well and uh just just kind of lose the game is unfortunate but in the NFL you have to continue to move you have to go forward and I had to learn from that mistake move forward just we so I don't let the same mistake bite me twice you know and uh I feel like we have a great team around us just the the Brotherhood that we have I feel like a bunch of people on the team just came to me man like you're the one just keep believing yourself we believe in you we know what you can do and I feel like that's what's going to get us over the hump this year and that's what going to make us such a great team on the back end and I feel like I'm just proud to be with these guys and playing for these guys can you even remember the last time you felt like you lost a game for your team no honestly not really I I I try to St out that situation you know I can't remember one so that's why you know I just try to St that situation just I keep taking it one play at a time you know and I feel like just just uh understand the team has full confidence in me kind of just helped me and I feel like just everybody reaching out to me after the game my mom my mom call me she know how much I wear my heart on my sleeve she's kind of reach me Shake It Off and uh just continue to be who you are you know and uh be where your feet are and be great and uh just go out there and show them who you are next week you've been watching Brian for Christian Kirk. weeks obviously but to see him impact the game that way uh what does that mean what does that mean for him what does that mean for you guys uh I think it it means a lot um just with his um explosive ability obviously stretching the field but you know also being able to to separate at the top of routes and you know just being able to do you know all the certain things that he's asked to do and I think as the season goes on he'll be asked to do more and uh but for a young guy to go out there and you know make the plays that he did and I thought he played with you know very calm demeanor um but also some energy I think uh a lot of people including us love to see him you know kind of get a little bit emotional during the game and that that was good kind of set the tone so um like I said each week he's just going to keep on getting better kind surprise you when he does that a little bit uh just because he's been a little quiet that's just his demeanor but uh love to see it doing it against that guy I mean that's the highest paid quarterback in League history one of the big time trash talkers but for him to go toe-to-toe kind of thing beating him off the line beating him deep what does that say about where his Arc maybe is headed I just think it's confidence and that's a big it's a big thing for you know especially a young receiver is to have that confidence so um that's definitely something that he's never lacked um but it's just good to to see that and see him out there play with some emotion and uh you know kind of oo that confidence what stands out about the Browns defense um you know they're they're front for sure you know that front is probably one of the better fronts in the league and then on the back end you know Greg Nome Denzel Ward um you know they have Emerson as well uh I think all those guys are are great great players so um you know we're we're just going to have to you know be on it when it comes to our communication and details when it comes to protections and whatnot and then you know on the perimeter we're just going to have to you know beat man coverage um they like to run a lot of man coverage and you know kind of get up in your face so you know it's going to be the challenge for us outside of the long drive in the second half as a small s size for you guys on offense but how was Trevor playing in your opinion in that first half to be able to get the explosives that you guys are doing and I guess just execute what you guys were trying to do in the game plan yeah I thought he did a great job you know obviously it was a little hard for us to you know kind of get into Rhythm offensively um just with we got behind the chains a couple times and you know put ourselves in some bad positions but I thought he was smart with the football and I thought he did you know everything that he could do you know put the football in the right place you know for us to go make plays some plays weren't made and some plays weren't so I think as long as he does that gives guys opportunities we're going to be just fine but I thought for you know week one I thought he did a great job how correctable are the mistakes that you guys made last week going into this week I think they're mistakes that I guess you I guess would want to have if that makes sense because they're all controllables um they're all things that we can control um it's not a lack of effort it's not a lack of skill it's not a lack of talent um you know it's just all things that we can control and you just have to go in and during the game and during that play you just have to you know make the opportunities you have to do what you're supposed to do on that given play and you know that's all things that we have in this locker room so I know like I said we were critical on ourselves yesterday we're going to learn from it and be better from it Josh Hines-Allen. defensively when you watch the tape back obviously you know I you guys said in the locker room after the game on Sunday it's a loss and that's what that game will be remembered by what positives did you take away for the defensive line I mean there's no more victories than anything I think you know the thing that they did differently and we didn't do is take the ball away um you know if you take that takeway away you know we control the rest of that game you know like you know what we've been doing um but you know I think they took the ball away we didn't they're the better defense that day uh Dallas defense got after Desa a little bit last week so I mean is there something that's stood out why and and something you guys can do to replicate that stopping the Run stopping to run on first down get them in passing situations and just allowing your guys just to go get it um and you know having you know they have some really good um receivers on their end I know David is a good tight end for them and uh you know In Their Own Line I think they hopefully their line comes back and you know we get a good look at you know what they're capable of doing and um you know stopping the run if we can be able to do that do what we did last week uh continue to do that and uh this time just take the ball away and I think we can you know will control this game the way we want to he's still a a weapon though dual threat right to Sean he can still move around what kind of athlete does he bring to that position I mean you can see just from last week too uh you know you know rushers having them wrapped up and him still having that capability to to get away so just being dialed in on you know when you have him it's going to take probably more than you know one two people to get him down so you know just just jump on them and hold on for their life uh cuz he still has all capability of getting out of at any tackle you've seen you've seen Desa play at a high level here yeah definitely I mean earlier in your career it's so how dangerous is he still is is that is that guy still in there I hope not I hope not he don't come up this week how important is it to get a dub at home I mean I did one and0 each week you know got to get go one and0 that's that's every week you know home or away in London you know in Germany and Japan hopefully you know it's you know 1 and0 and it starts today well it started Monday you know getting your getting your rest yesterday and you know coming out today to get the install you know executing what's need to be had and you know then it's going to continue tomorrow then Friday then Saturday and you know Sunday we just put it all together and try to go one to0 but as a defense you know got to get takeaways you start stumping already for Japan to be the next location hey man I'm just throwing it out there you know you never know hopefully tron's gone but I mean he does have 10 sacks in his last 13 games a great start he's off to a great start something that you want to you know as any rusher you want to start off hot and so for him it's just to keep going you know and it doesn't have to be a clean sack you know what I mean like my first game last year I had two sacks where the quarterback ran out of bounds and I was just the last one to touch them those are sacks so just keep piling those up um and and and you know stay Relentless which I know he is and he can also win one on ones when the time's needed too so I'm really exced it you know playing a little catch up right now so I got to I'm going to give me a big one here soon uh him and Eric both but you know that's what that's what we're supposed to do and I'm happy for him I want him to continue to find success in any ways if possible and you know just keep it going for him like I said earlier that's kind Evan Engram.13:27 of the main frustration of Sunday is you know we came out there and we started how we wanted to start um got rolling was able to score points at will uh yeah that's that's a frustrating part we were we're there U just got just got to get a little closer is that easy to flush uh yeah with the with the mindset of this locker room the way we work and the way uh we prepare um obviously we want to win them all uh you know we don't like uh you know having this feeling of trying to bounce back but um that's the you know credit to the leadership in this locker room uh you know the um the forward minus that we're going to work with is definitely easy uh one to let go you guys have tried to build that uh that part of it that bounce back of have you already seen it this week for sure I mean that's that's the growth of this team is we understand there's going to be adversity uh there's going to be adversity in a play adversity in the game uh adversity in the season so um that's kind of uh our motto is you know we're going to respond to it uh we're going to attack it um and that's the P kind of practice we had today uh everybody was flying around had a good day got to be better on third Downs yeah simply yeah for sure uh big day um for us tomorrow um third down prep uh got to come in and and get it right um get it right in practice and get you know Make It Count on Sunday may not have shown last week but how good is this Browns defense they have seems like they have guys at every level right every level um every level uh and week one they're going to learn from and they're going to be a better product week to so we got to come ready um literally every level uh they have a game record so uh we got to come prepare uh we got to execute at a very high level all game what's it like to see Brian perform the way he did at right out of the gates I mean uh I mean this it's a it's a huge part for our team a huge part and I told him you know I told him today actually he may be a rookie uh you might be quiet but that energy you had on Sunday the confidence that we saw um come out of you uh that's going to help our team uh we see it and we feel it so U whatever he's been doing uh he needs to keep doing it uh and uh he has a bright future ahead uh and it's only his first game he's going to continue to learn he's going to continue to get better um and get more accustomed to the game and our offense so uh man I can't wait to you know play alongside him for the rest of season just watching him grow he's been he's been about as quiet as a guy as we've seen around here so how unexpected was some of the the chiring even I mean it's like I said it's just it's what we need as a team for sure I mean uh he'll he'll come around uh he'll definitely uh every rookie do when I was rookie I said nothing around uh you know uh New York when I was up there I was really quiet it took me a while to come out on my shell even when I came here honestly I was uh really quiet so it'll come around it'll definitely come around you see every now and then Gabe gets out of him the most for sure um but uh yeah he's uh he's awesome to be around he's awesome to work with and can't wait to see him Excel degree of difficulty on the Trevor throw to him in the end zone ah man I mean yeah you know you slow down the tape you see where he throws it and where BT is at I mean that's just it's what we do we rep it and practice and uh we go out and execute in the game we just got to we got to do more of those um great throw great uh route by BT and just we can make more of those plays that's the like I said I'll come back to it that's a frustrating part of it is we have that type of capability uh just got to just do it more a lot of football after this week but how big is this week to get back considering the schedule ahead the next month or so yeah I mean uh we got to get this one and you know we're not looking we're not trying to plan ahead we're not trying to scope out what's next uh we got to beat the Cleveland Browns our home opener fans going to be here excited um it's going to be a great atmosphere and we're going to go out and protect our house
