okay guys I might be late to the party but did you know that JD Vance has a movie on [Music] [Applause] Netflix apparently he wrote a book about him growing up and I didn't know it existed it was made in like 2020 and Ron Howard directed it and Glen Close plays his grandma the movie is so good it's called hillbilly elig and like I said it was made by directed by Ron Howard it's the story of JD's Life as a young kid growing up from Kentucky and and in Ohio but in his family and their struggles and their love and I heard that his mom had issues with addiction but in my head I just thought it was like alcohol or something like that cuz alcohol is all always there it's readily available you can get it anywhere pretty much but she struggled with heroin and it was just so it's so troubling to see she's been clean for 6 years now but is such a cute story just showing how you know even if you're from a small town even if you didn't get you know dealt the best hand you can still make something out of your life the movie shows how JD puts himself through Yale and has three jobs and how he meets his wife in college and I love his grandmother in it I love how everyone in his family still even though they yelled at each other and they fought a lot they still had a lot of love for each other they they told each other they loved each other they hugged each other they spoke spoke to him like he was an adult like he was a person I wish I had someone like that in my life growing up the Glen Close character when you know she talked to him like an adult and told him you know school is important you can get you can get out of this little town I come from strict Boomer parents kids are to be seen not heard we were told you're supposed to get married right after high school and then be barefoot and pregnant until you die it isn't easy all right just wait till you get pregnant I'm not having a kid what you think you're special that's just what happens to girls only girls that are stupid there's this really cute part of the movie because everything going on with his mom and just because he's a young kid JD van started hanging out with the wrong kids his grades were slipping he you know was doing bad things that teens may do and his grandma noticed and she pulled him aside and said you need to live with me you need to get rid of these friends you need to start putting your head in these books and you know she was telling him you know I'm not going to be here forever and someone needs to watch over the family if you think you're hiding it honey you're dumb as a bag of hair pack up for what what are you doing I'm taking him where to live with me and if you got a problem with that you can talk to the barrel of my gun she was talking to him like an adult because they have serious stuff going on in the family where he does you know someone needs to step up his sisters oh my God his sister went through so much God bless you and yeah he put himself through Yale somehow I think he said he had three jobs I don't know how he did it but his mom was actually very smart she was the the smartest in her school she was a nurse and becoming a nurse isn't easy but yeah I thought this movie was so cute let me know if you've seen it I didn't even know it existed I would love to see the sequel part to when he's vice president to Trump who will play Trump anys if you guys like this one give it a big thumbs up subscribe if you're not already and I'll see you in the next one [Music]
