This is when coaches emphasize the need for players to separate themselves from the competition in order to make the 53 man roster. Sports anchor Rachel Meyer has more on all of this today. >> Pretty exciting day I would imagine. Yeah, it was exciting. We're back to the early practices which I love because that gives me more time to fill you guys in on what's going on. Every day is an opportunity right now for players to make plays and today that guy was Jaimoe Jamison Williams with multiple touchdowns from golf definitely entertained fans in attendance. Now earlier this week Dan Campbell said he was desperate for someone to really steal the third receiver spot. And I think it's fair to apply that same mentality of thinking to the fourth safety spot as well when it comes to all of that. We talked to Aaron Glenn today and he was really high on Brandon Joseph, someone I asked about specifically and the opportunities he's been taking advantage of And Aaron Glenn is definitely excited to have Joseph in that room of burgeoning safeties. >> You always need a for safety in a way and most of those guys are special team guys too. So the thing that Joe brings to this team is he's a very, very heady player. He understands this game inside and out. He's almost like an extra coach on there So when he's out there with the younger players he's able to like direct those guys And what we're doing and how we're doing it And he's been here for good enough time to be to understand it. So he's done a really good job of making plays as we all seen in practice and in games But that's no surprise for that player because they had a player a few other faces of Detroit Sports in attendance today from Pistons, president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon to Red Wings head coach Derek let alone who was in full dad mode taking pictures of his kids with Amon-ra Brown and Penei Sewell. >> But he himself Leyland is a fan of Dan Campbell. >> All right.
