hey y'all Mama snark here we are here at the Great Wolf Lodge this is the new Lodge that just opened in Webster Texas right outside of Houston so I'm going to give you guys a full like walking informational tour so this is going to be purely informational showing you where things are located height requirements things like that we will have a full family Vlog coming out next week and U make sure that you are like and subscribed to my channel hit that notification Bell so you don't miss out on that but without further Ado follow along and let's go do a walking tour of the new Lodge and check it out so one of the first things to note upon coming into the lodge this is where you will pull through in the front where you can like hop out and go check in unload luggage they do have luggage carts for you to use and they have plenty of them and they have them on either side so you can you know stack up all of your suitcases and whatnot to bring your luggage up to your room and obviously go park your car after you unload like hubby had me wait with the kids while he went and parked after we got everything out of the car when you first come into the lodge you will come into the lobby where we have this Grand fireplace here you have your gift shop to the right hand side to the left is where you have your check-in desk so they do have like actual check-in desk where you can go wait in the queue over there to check in or they have all of these different online check-in kiosk so basically you tap it it asks you to insert your driver's license credit card for incidentals it will put a $100 hold on your card so note that for incidentals and you have to put on at least one bracelet that you get being able to charge to your room so that you can enter and exit the parking lot if you want to so at these checkin things it will like after you check in it spits out your bracelets right here and you can put them on y'all do not lose these bracelets they said if they pop off or tear off or whatever bring it back you can get a onetime replacement if you completely lose the bracelet it is a 5050 $50 charge to replace one of these bad boys so don't do that but this also acts as it says tap here that's your room key as well for your hotel room yeah so that'll get you into your room my kids love I did put the ability to scan into our hotel room on both of my kids because they love being able to open the doors so it basically acts as like a Magic Band that you get at Disney World so just past the fireplace here you have your gift shop directly on the other side there and I'll do a quick little tour of the gift shop for you [Music] so they have a gift shop right when you walk in with all kinds of goodies things that you need and don't need they have a giant candy wall so if you have a wolf pass paw pass pup pass the little like activities passes that they sell beforehand they come with let's see not this one okay that's that one so that one's an upgrade [Music] but they will come with a basic candy cup if you do have a pass you can upgrade for these prices to one of the like fancier little buckets but it comes with a cup that you can you know fill with anything that you'd like and then they have more candy that you can purchase you know to get your kids hyped up on sugar so they don't drive you crazy so different merchandise this one's really [Music] cute not too bad of pricing I mean typical to like theme park [Music] pricing so they have different t-shirts and things that you can purchase so if you don't pack enough or you just want a little souvenir these are the ears so you get free wolf ears when you you come in and come to one of the registers they'll ask you to howl and they give your kids some free wolf ears but if you like to update they do have what they call the Glam ears right here and if you have the putt pass paw pass wolf pass you can get a discount my little girl ended up getting some Glam ears with some birthday money and then what's kind of different about this gift shop is they actually have the Builder bear inside of the gift shop usually it's its own separate thing but this gift shop has the build-a Bear in it and I think this comes with the I want to say the pup pass but if you have one of the other passes you do get a discount on it [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Music] they have all of your Essentials and if you forget anything as well they have things down here or also at the check-in desk my husband forgot a toothbrush so he went down to the check-in desk last night and they had these toothbrush little kits here for $3 that he got so if you forget anything they do have your Basic Essentials looks like they have underwear too which is nice if you don't forget or you forget to pack enough and you're changing constantly after the water park so right outside of the check-in desk at 800 and 8:30 they do yoga here in the front as you can [Music] see and then continuing on past the gift [Music] shop they do different little activities here in the main hall on the other side of the fireplace last night they did a dance party which my kids attended if you do the dance party I highly recommend bringing a bubble wand for your children because that was like the highlight of the dance party my kids they didn't care about the dancing but they do character meet and greets here and then at night at 8:00 p.m. this little portrait here will turn into like a storybook cartoon movie thing and they do like some really cool effects here in the green Grand [Music] Lobby and then we'll go through that in just a second here to the Le hand side you have your freshwood market area this is where you get your refillable popcorn from if you want one of the refillable popcorn buckets and then they have just you know regular staple odds and ends item items if you want just like Gatorade or bottled water or energy drinks they have a few Mama Dad Dad juices here as well you can see the different prices here about what they are going to run you full bottles of wine different cocktails here are going to be about 14 15 about $10 for a can of beer they have your wolf sippers that you can get and this is good for unlimited refills for your stay those are the popcorn buckets and the different sippers you can get this is where the popcorn will happen coffee some donuts from the Dunkin donnut if you don't want to go wait in that line you can just grab a dnut or two [Music] here and then just some different like chips go go [Music] squeezes granola bars chapsticks toothpaste toothpaste and toothbrush allergy medicine things like that you can get here as well in this little market area so coming back out again that is your Adventure Park area off to the right is where Fireside is this is the sit down restaurant here on property and they have a little bar there as you can see but this is going to be like your sit down restaurant it's a beautiful new day here and here's a quick little glimpse of the menu y starting in 10 minutes in the Grand lby and you can also find all of these menus online as well on the website or also in the app so if you download the app before you come and enter your reservation number it'll have like the mobile ordering and all of the hours to everything on property in there pass the lobby is where you will enter Adventure Park an Adventure Park through Adventure Park is where you're going to have your eating options you have Dunkin Donuts and woods in ice cream right here and the Dunkin donnuts does have you can either order it on the Great Wolf Lodge app or they have little mobile order stands right here this area is so fun to look at they did a really good job with this you have your magic Quest first thing to the left and this is where my kids went last night and got their wands activated to do the little game you have your Fireside or Timbers table and kitchen this is where they do the breakfast buffets from 7:30 to 11:00 Saturday through Sunday 7:30 to 11:30 but this is going to be a buffet breakfast and I'll insert a little b-roll footage here of us doing the breakfast buffet this morning and what the offerings are [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] at the end here you have your drink bar you can do some toast Bagels Etc coffee CER you can also get a go cup of coffee which is good to note European blend and Raiden Forest bold all your different coffee pixin and creamers they have sweet tea hot water for tea and then I love that for the kids they have the kids go cups and straws and lids for no spills your glasses here orange juice and apple juice as well as sodas if you wanted sodas with the syrup add-ins as well you have your adventures Peak or howlers Peak area right here you have a ropes course an adventure Tri Trail and your mini golf and I'll insert some video footage here of like the little mini golf area it was really fun the kids and I did it yesterday it was part of their little wolf pass and the Howland One mini golf if you do not have a pass is going to be 79 $7.99 for a single round for each kid or $24.99 per adult they do get to pick their colored ball the putters are going to be based on but they get like a big big bowl of balls that they get to pick from they do have different height requirements for the adventure Trail and for the ropes course so depending on where your child Falls in that they either may or may not be able to do it or they might have to be accompanied by an adult something to note if your child with a ROP course is in the yellow an adult has to accompany them up so she asked that my husband and myself go up with each of our kids since we have two kids so he's going up with manb I'm going up with her in case their like ropes lock or get stuck anywhere we can help get them down so this is the really cool ropes course area tons and tons and T like this should take your kid at least 20 minutes or so to get through it so make sure that your kids have a closed toed shoes in order to do this so don't pack only flip-flops they will need closed toed shoes in order to do the climbing courses so so make sure you pack like I brought my kids Keen sandals that are close toe they have the toe bumper I'm not sure if Crocs and spart in sport mode would work or not and then this here is the adventure Trail so this they kind of go up through like a old school Playhouse like Treehouse kind of situation and it has just different levels that they can kind of climb through and climb on and explore up there and then it ends and a giant twisty slide which you know all kids love a good twisty slide so the adventures Trail is the new attraction that is listed on those putt passes or the yeah the putt pass and the Wolf pass this is the adventure Trail is included with that super fun little area for kids and then right across from The Howlin One mini golf you have Oliver's min in Co so this is just a little area you can buy the bags I'll show you the pricing here so you can buy a single bag or a family bag and if you have one of those putt pass paw pass uh wolf passes it does come with a discount for this but the kids basically go over there to those little mining stations they have water and they like put their bags of rocks in there that's full of dirt and rinse them off and they get to keep the gems afterwards we did that on a previous trip and then if you come over here to the right or keep going right across from the ropes course is the Northern Lights arcade so I'm going to do a very quick Montage walkr of all of the games that they have here [Music] as you can see they have several VR experience games here [Music] so if you have one of those passes you get a $5 game card which is not going to go far at all here at the end inside of the arcade you have your Northern Lights arcade prize Zone this is where you come and redeem all of your tickets for a prize do note that it is going to be not worth whatever amount of money you spent on prizes so if your kid really wants prizes or whatnot I suggest stopping by like Dollar Tree and just picking up some little things to give to them and they think they've got some good prizes cuz you're going to spend a lot of money on a lot of nothing continuing on out of the arcade you have your tin Paul bowling alley here on the left hand side and as you can see they have the magic quest game games sprinkled all through here the magic Quest games are only on the first floor so literally all of your entertainment and food is here on the first floor at this Lodge so it's good for those with little kids but I can see if it is super crowded and packed that's going to be a problem like it's going to be very very like crowded in certain areas but here is your 10 Paw bowling alley and I'll insert prices here on the screen for you so it's kind of like little mini [Music] bowling at the very end of The Adventure Park it ends into the great geyser water park which is your obviously your water park which is the main event of this hotel do note that they do measure children Barefoot when they come here and they will give them a colorcoded wristband based on where they fall on this height stick so like my son got in the green and my daughter was in the yellow they will have listed inside the water park on each slide what color wristband you have to have and if you were in the yellow to do like the big slides you have to be wearing a life jacket if you're in the Green Jackets are optional [Music] so this is what everyone is interested in and I'm going to go right to left to give you guys a tour so when you first walk in you have your Big Otter Cove Waterworks area this is for like toddler preschool age kids my kids are six and five and they both love all the slides they have four different slides in this area the big dump bucket is not working while we're here unfortunately I don't know if they have it turned off on on purpose or if it's just currently not operational if you go when you first come in if you go to your rightand side you have your Hungry Wolf Food Hall so this is where you can get your food to go on the other side inside of the lodge by like the ropes course thing but the other side of it pops out here at the water park so it's the same they don't have like a separate water park or like inside food court kind of thing it all just is one thing so you can mobile order on the app or you can order there on the touch screens they have limited seating inside there your drink refillable stations if you have those like refillable cups that's where you can do that as well and then as you can see they have plenty of seating I'll go so if you go all the way to the right hand side you'll see some stairs here these stairs will lead up to the Cabana areas so you do have the option of renting a cabana and I can link that down below for you we run it a cabana when we were in Grapevine it's literally the same thing as the ones here they come with like a TV and some chairs and kind of just like a base camp personally I don't think it's worth it they can range from like $100 to up to $500 a day which is you can get a room for that cost which is I'd rather have a hotel room with my own like shower and stuff to change versus a base camp there as you can see there's plenty of seating this here is the wave pool it says that it gets 5 ft deep there at the end I don't think it does my son is about 48 in 6 years old and he can touch pretty much throughout the entire W pool I will say what I like about the wave pools here at the Great Wolf Lodge is they do tend to cater more towards younger children so the w waves are not like powerful they're very gentle waves and both of my kids love the wave pool and they have a few little splash squirters coming up here for the littles to play [Music] in let's see I'm going to continue my loop around like I said the center point is that uh Otter Cove Waterworks area so on the other side of the wave pool you have your tidal wave bar for the m and Dad Dad and any adult 21 and [Music] up saw a couple of people drinking those yesterday continuing on this is your baby Splash Pad area for like the babies and toddlers you have to be 54 in or shorter to be able to play in here and it is gated you can see that gate right there I was worried that my kids would be too old to enjoy this area they both had a blast here my children are six and five and they played in this thing for a long time they have like kind of a bigger slide there and then they have two little racer slides on the other end this is your other Cabana area they have a few more Cabanas for rent here and then this here is your Lazy River entrance you can see the tubes here that you grab and the lazy river is going to go all the way down and around that Otter Cove Waterworks [Music] area and then it will come back and this is the back end of that water works so they have like a small Splash Pad area inside the otter cave Waterworks as well so if you have like a baby and an older child you can bring the baby in the splash pad area and the older child can go and do the four slides up above The Lazy River you can see just wraps around there all right now for what everyone wants to know about the big slides so I'm going to start all the way at the end here all right so these are the big slides you have two body slides you have to have a green wristband in order to ride the body slide so you have to be 48 8 in or taller so this is the only one that Weezer couldn't do manb is 48 in he could do them we opted not to have him do it just because I don't know I wasn't comfortable with it so this is where the two big family slides will dump out and the information for those are here so these it's a yellow wristband you have to wear a life vest and you have to be accompanied by an adult or the green wristbands you can just go but these are five seedar family raft rides and they do have a weight limit and I'll insert that here I'm not sure what it is but they do make you stand on like a gray weight pad and a light will turn red if you're too heavy or green if you're good to go we did see a big group of five try to ride together it was a bunch of adults and they were too heavy so someone had to stand out here is your other set of stairs that reads to the other there are actually three at the top of this but I guess one of them is the one over there not sure what the third slide is there's actually three slides at the top of this but these are your tube slides so you get your tubes here on this side and two of the slides that are kind of like racer slides you have the tubes with the seat like the hole in the seat because the racer slides I'm going to show you here this slide right here it's kind of like a water coaster so it has jets they've got water jets that shoot you upwards so you don't want that like going up your booty so these you use this kind of raft and then they have one other tube slide that you can do single person tube or a double tube you'll have to come over here to The Lazy River area and get the tube slides tubes that have the holes in them so you can do single or double but the other slide up there you have to do the hole in them so those are your you see someone coming down there these are your big people slides or like your big kid slides and again the same with the other tube slides it's green you're good to go yellow you have to wear a life jacket and be accompanied by an adult this is that Lazy River just finishing winding around that otter cave this is where your body slides dump out you have two body slides you have the blue one up there and the yellow one the yellow one is my recommendation it goes a little bit more twisted around the blue one is quite short like you have a couple of twists in the blue one but the yellow one winds around for a very long time goes through there so I recommend the yellow one personally and then you just have a big pool over here you have basketball hoops some basketballs in the water and then you have your lily pads and like logs that you can hop along y'all my kids love this a lot more than I thought they would they've both gone through this several times and then you have life vests that are free to use they have all different sizes you can bring your own life vest but it has to be Coast Guard approved so here is the life jacket info they have as you can see all different sizes here my kids can still fit in the blue they're like right at 50 and 55 lb or they can fit in that red so free free to use life vest plenty of seating still that leads to your outside area which I will show you now all right so outside area got a hot tub over there lots of people in it so I'm not going to film Too Close they've got a Zero Entry there's a bar a handful of Cabanas and those Cabanas are cheaper than the inside ones few little fountains I do like the zero iny that's good for little ones and then they've got another like Lily Pad set off in the distance yeah so the deepest outside pool gift is 4T wipe that down 4 ft all the way around so it's not and then they've got like I said they got a handful of Cabanas on either side there the outside Cabanas and I will say the outside area is only open occasionally when we were here earlier it was not open because I guess they didn't have enough staff to run it yet but if you're coming on the weekend or busy season you should be good to go they have a refillable drink station here so if you bring your own cup you can have refillable filtered water you have your restrooms and showers which I'm not going to show cuz you're not allowed to film in there they do have two family restrooms as well as a men and a men and women restroom lockers for rent more seating and again we are back at that otter cave Waterworks show you the as you can see this thing is like quite impressive it has like a bunch of little walkthroughs and rope things that you walk through this is your so less than 54 in tall and 48 guests that are under 48 in are encouraged to wear a life jacket Weezer has a yellow band she did not wear a life jacket in this area cuz it's not deep like there's no deep pools here it's all just like shallow lap writing not allowed and that is for your otter cave Waterworks like I said they have four different slides here these tube slides are actually really cool this blue one right here with the like symbols on it it's like dark and it has like those light up glow symbols on the inside which is really cool and then you have two open-ended slides right there that are just kind of open on the top and they dump out like I said not in a pool you dump out in like a lap Lane let's see oh that's just the rules again reiterated so then you have your coming back to the end of the water park we have done a full loop this is your like water park gift shop right here so if you forget a swimsuit or you need goggles you want to buy a towel water bottle sunscreen anything like that you can do so here with some of the towel prices or you can come here to the splash services and you can check out a towel with your wristband so you check it out with your wristband and then you can return it with your wristband you can also return it to get a dry towel like if your towel is wet free of charge do note if you lose a towel it's going to be a let's see let me go to the the rynal if you lose a towel it is going to be a $15 charge so make sure that you are scanning to get those checked back in hold on let me come and that's it and that is the end of the water park tour and when you leave the water park there we go thank you when you leave the water park you are right back into this area and again some more of those little magic quests sprinkled around here are your drink refill stations so if you have one of those refillable cups you can come down here anytime you have to scan right here in order to get your drink the same goes if you buy like a soda here at Hungry Wolf that I'm about to show you you have to scan your cup in order to get your soda so here just to the right hand side here of the water park you have your hungry as a wolf food haul or The Hungry Wolf Wolf food haul you can do your mobile ordering here or you can order through the app and pay for it and just go pick it up when it's ready and you're going to pick up here down at the end where it says pickup and this is your pickup window here where we picked up our family Pizza pack restrooms down here at the end of the hall and obviously I'm not going to film inside the potties but but they do have men and women restrooms as well as water fountains with refillable water dispensers so if you have your own cup like you brought your kids you know Contigo Camelback cups whatever you they do have water fillable refillable stations scattered throughout the resort which is nice and they have a little area you can get your sodas if you get the cups from Hunger as a wolf and limited seating in this area we just brought our pizza back up to our room and enjoyed it there so that we could you know kind of relax so here's some more of those magic Quest items like I said I like this for the convenience of having little kids whereas at Grapevine Texas you had to go up and down like four different flights of stairs in order to do this but like we have Labor Day weekend coming up I can imagine it getting very congested then so this is that timers Buffet area I showed you previously some more Little M Quest games and then so that's it and then you exit the Adventure [Music] Park and that brings you right back to the front of the resort and I'll note too if your kids have um certain passes they do get a free scoop of ice cream from Woods in they were able to get it in a cone during the day so then you just exit through the Adventure park and go back to the lobby and then if you go to the go to the right hand side that is where again more magic Quest things you head to your right hand side and that is where you have all of your guest rooms they have potties back here as well so they do have bathrooms scattered throughout the resort but your guest rooms start down there and then here is your elevator Bank we are on the third [Music] floor and I will say they do have a lot of elevators here versus like grape vine only had I think it was like a bank of four or something like that and it took forever but also because that magic Quest was being played on like four different floors so having the magic Quest only on the first floor actually does help with elevator congestion so this is everything like I said literally everything here is going to be on that first floor third floor which is good when you have little ones but bad if it's going to be like super super crowded on a weekend and you're coming in here with all of your little ones and everyone's crammed in that one area that's not going to be fun so here right when you get off of the elevators as you can see you have ice and stairs there and then your ice machine here you do need your wristband to get in into it and I'll show a little clip here of my husband taking my children in [Music] [Music] [Music] they do have an ice machine as well as a microwave because they no longer have microwaves in the rooms so this is just the hallway what it looks like leading to the guest rooms fun thing my kids have noticed so if you noticed here on the light fixtures it has the different tracks leading to it so I'm going backwards right now but the moose tracks led to the Moose the Bear Tracks here lead to the Bears and then continuing on all of your different paw prints so my daughter noticed that we are in the wolf section so she knows when she starts to see the wolf light fixtures our room is the first one past the wolf light and I'll give you a quick little overview of what our wolf Dean D suet looks like there you go open push push hard push push push wow Bubba hold on hold on two light switches there's only one white switch in the bathroom it's on all right we have a as you can see here we have a press it wolfon suite and I'll do a full room tour I'll have that link down below one last thing I wanted to to touch on before I end the Vlog is that they texted me yesterday through it's called like the willow something so I got a text message that said hi this is Willow I hope you're having a good time if you have any questions or need assistance or whatever message me through here so last night I was trying to take a nap or go to bed hubby went out to get food and it was quiet in the room and I just heard heard this beeping [Music] going and it just kept going on repeat again and again and again so when hubby got back I was like you hear that right like I'm not crazy and he was like yeah no it sounds like the SOS signal like tapping out in Morse code so I messaged through the app hey there's this beeping coming out it it's been going on for an hour straight so they actually messaged me back in the app within what like 10 20 minutes they had security come up here and they um you know we're like y'all can come in and listen so y'all can hear you know try to hear it I was like it's either coming from like above us or below us or around us and so they listened and they're like yeah I think it's coming from down below so you know they left they like well we're going to go try to see if we can figure it out they figured it out the beeping stop they messaged me back they said we apologize about that security got it all figured out and it should stop now which it did so I am very happy with their customer service they handled situation very quickly so A Plus on customer service from the greaty Wolf Lodge all right guys that is it for the walking tour of the Great Wolf Lodge here at Webster Texas
