grocery talk: publix bogos and sales

it's Labor Day weekend Richmond Virginia Publix they've got a few sales I want to point out uh one is this blue cheese right here it's 4 o package it is Bogo so it's for $22.70 that's 67 an ounce you always want to be looking at your unit prices but you also want to look at the dates you see make sure that the dates are reasonable this is good through December if I don't open it and I will probably eat it all before then so it's a good pickup again 50% savings out of the gate one important thing I forgot to say is I know there are other states you can have to buy two to get the buy one get one free but in Virginia and there's a few other states you could just buy one and get it for half price pistachos is another deal on sale three bucks three bucks off that's a 27% return instant and but you want to again you want to make sure if you like pistachios that's a that's a screaming deal but you also want to make sure the date isn't something close these are good through or good until you open it until May so that's an important to pay attention to another deal Splenda if you're into that kind of thing they're BOGO this week that's a nice time to buy cuz they're an expensive item I know not necessarily the healthiest thing said if you're into it not the greatest steal but it is 15% off a buck off these olives which I happen to like what I find funny is it doesn't say it on the package but they have done the work for you they are pitted olives and they taste really nice again here though you want to make sure you're checking the uh best used buy dates this one says says this one says uh March 2025 so I'm going to pick that one up but this one I noticed says 724 it's September now I don't understand why this is on the Shelf this kind of thing really annoys me watch for it watch the dates watch your unit prices if you need some plastic wear a good time to stock up they've got all kinds of bogos on the plastic and the glass type that's a deal
