Use of Dylan Edwards at Kansas State's practice was notable | Daily Delivery

everyone it's Fitz with your daily delivery hope you are well welcome to the weekend I'm I guess it's Sunday now that you're watching this I'm recording this on Saturday so it gets a little confusing for my little manb brain but it is still the weekend and I have an observation left over from last week when I got to see a little snippet of practice that I wanted to share with you I don't know how much it means but I thought it was pretty interesting first let's get to your reminder to subscribe to this YouTube Channel please help us continue to grow as we reach more and more Kate fans also hit the thumbs up if you enjoy the video and leave those comments if you go back and look at the last time I said leave a comment watch happen watch what happen to the algorithm go look at that leave a comment thank you very much so uh you know you don't see much in that first section of practice we get to see them stretch and run some basic stuff sometimes we get to see seven on seven so you kind of see who's lining up with the first team offense first team defense or roughly that and who rotates with the next group group we didn't see any of that on Thursday when we had a session of the Kansas State football practice open basically as soon as we're out the door they do all the cool stuff which I understand you don't want to put that out for uh everyone to see particularly brilliant football Minds like this but there was something of Interest going on first of all I was caught a little bit off guard by DJ giddens being in the red bib which means he's still non- contct I know he's coming back from from an offseason surgery but the indication had been he'd be ready to go and I guess he is going he just can't get hit which of course we didn't see any of that in our session but even though giddens was out uh on the field taking part in what drills they were doing we noticed Dylan Edwards seemed to get a lot of time next to Avery Johnson now I'm not going to try to imply here that Dylan Edward is going to take over a running back but it struck me that they seem to be working on their timing together trying to mesh him up because I think Dylan Edwards is going to be used in a number of different ways in fact Dylan Edwards went over and worked with receivers for a little bit and I thought that was interesting too because that seems to line up with what we think they're going to do with him he's going to probably be the punt returner I believe that he's probably going to come in and relieve DJ giddens at running back and he's going to place a receiver and he's probably going to lead to some formations that we haven't seen much of with a true running back like DJ giddens on the field with him and Avery Johnson it's very intriguing but it did jump out at us that we were seeing a lot of Dylan Edwards in that practice particularly paired up with Avery now maybe it was just by chance too you know that everyone's rotating in their own cycles of uh running backs have so many guys that take reps and quarterbacks have so many guys that take reps but boy it did seem like the two were paired up quite a bit and I had one of those senior moments where I'm watching practice and I see this guy goes speeding around the end in just a you know simple little handoff drill where he's completing the run and he just kind of had a different giddy up in his step and who is that oh it's Dylan Dylan Edwards at number three also Blake Barnett's still wearing number three how's that going to work Blake they they might be red shirting you or are they finding out who is going to earn number three based on what I saw it'll be Dylan Edwards
