a time was had last night in Lincoln Nebraska if you were in the stadium lucky you I wasn't but I wish I was I was watching it seemed like one of the most electric atmospheres we've seen at least this year in college football and since I couldn't be there at least I'm going to bring you guys a bunch of recruiting Intel there was a few major developments that I want to cover but first Nebraska fans coming out of Lincoln Nebraska where should we start we'll start with five-star athlete Michael Terry III the number one athlete in America was back at Nebraska over the weekend and what a time was had now prior to this weekend he was trending heavily to the Texas Longhorns we had Texas insiders we had National analysts everybody submitting their pick for the long horns but was it too early because Michael Terry the third coming out of that game had a great time talking to Texas insiders they feel that this this visit made an impact now Texas probably still the favorite here but I'm not counting Nebraska out I think they're going to get him back on campus again I can't imagine going and experiencing a game atmosphere like that and not wanting to come back for another one so Michael Terry and his whole family were there there's more on huskeronline.com about his trip Steve Wilfong caught up with him there's some quotes pretty good stuff we'll see what happens with Michael Terry the third but I think it was a very successful weekend when it comes to five-star recruiting all right let's move on to linebacker Christian Jones He is the number one player in the state he had a lot to say he said it was the loudest game he's ever been to quote the ad atmosphere was electric what continues to excite him is how coach rule is building a program up and the culture so you can tell that the 6'2 half 215 lb linebacker from the state of Nebraska is intrigued I mean at this point I really like where the Huskers sit I think this was a huge visit for him he got to see it all in person he got to experience it and now Christian Jones the number one player in the state I think is in good hands I think I love where Nebraska sits with him all right now we know offensive line recruiting is Big last year in the 2024 cycle Nebraska made a run at five-star Brandon Baker out of California this cycle it was David Sanders the number one offensive tackle in America came to campus he took his official visit Nebraska was right there in the end he ends up at Tennessee but now Nebraska has its sight set on another number one t offensive tackle this one from the 2026 class and that's Jackson kwell he was at all miss last weekend but as you could see from the video this weekend he was with Will Compton in Lincoln I got to imagine it was an experience he's never going to forget the groundwork has been laid for the number one offensive tackle in the 26 class maybe if David Sanders took a visit as early as Jackson kwell we'd be talking a little differently about that recruitment so you got to love the fact what Nebraska is doing and how they're attracting top names speaking of top names Cortez Mills made it in I know I know if you read the comment section we had Oklahoma fans every video saying Josh he's not going to go Josh he's he's committed to Oklahoma why would he make a visit to Nebraska well let me tell you guys how this works and what was going on here he didn't want Oklahoma to know that he was going so of course Steve Wilfong is sourced up as they come who do you think he was talking to when he said Cortez Mills was coming he's talking to Cortez Mills now the Oklahoma staff was probably hoping that he wasn't going to show or maybe they didn't know if he was going to take a visit to Nebraska so when it comes to sources my man Steve Wong's as good as they come and Cortez Mills visiting Nebraska to me is a very good sign so he nearly picked Nebraska when he committed in I know uh Miami was also heavily involved there but it seems like Nebraska is probably the only team that could flip Cortez Mills right now from Oklahoma the big question is will he return after that experience I don't know QB TJ Latif who's committed to Nebraska has been working on him I think they're going to be staying in contact so Cortez Mills a big visit just the fact that he showed up with all the rumors swirling that he's not going he does indeed show up at a big time game in Nebraska so we'll have to keep an eye on that that and see what happens I don't think a flip is imminent I don't but I think if he shows up again I think that is going to be something we keep an eye on all right now we were talking about the number one player in the state that leads me to believe now I'm just connecting some Dots here but with Florida State spying losing myON Charles their number one defensive line commit in that class to Texas over the weekend the number two player in the state of Nebraska is also committed to FSU that's tight end commit Chase Lofton like I said the number two player in the state of Nebraska could we see a double back there I think so Nebraska recruiting right now is RedHot I think anybody that they go after especially these instate guys I think they're going to have a shot to flip down the road so keep an eye on Chase Lofton keep an eye on Christian Jones Nebraska recruiting coming off that dominant win
