well Dave we did speak to dte earlier today and they tell us that there is a plan in place and they are also closely monitoring the weather now we are they are expecting some long days ahead this afternoon we spoke to officials inside DTES emergency headquarters who told me crews are on standby and there could be thousands of power outages but they are hoping those numbers are low or none at all approximately we have about 300 to 400 linemen that work here for dte energy in addition to linemen that work us placers at work on the underground system another 100 or so of those and then we also have a two to three hundred contract overhead linemen that work within our service territory and then we can get hundreds of additional resources normally from nearby utilities if needed and dte says that they have executed their emergency storm plan many times before and right now they're just making sure they have enough resources for whatever happens live at dte headquarters tara edwards 7 Action News Carolyn all right thank you much Tara with
