and that 49ers front office who have done an amazing job of finding Talent paying them at the right price is deciding right now how much Brock PR is worth it's a touchy subject because according to the current market Brock p is worth 55 60 million that's after Kyler a few years ago got 50 Deshawn got 51 Trevor Lawrence who have looked mediocre for three years just a month ago after two playoff appearances in three years with two different head coaches you got 50 million you look at the stats the story the playoff appearances the clutch wins Brock pie looks like a $60 million quarterback but what San Francisco is arguing right now is our eyes tell the truth and that's why this Brock pie situation shows us why we don't play football on paper we don't play football through emails through Geniuses at desks we play it on the field because the paper says pay Brock pie 60 million your eyes say do we pay him 60 especially when we've seen Jimmy gfo run this offense just as well as Brock Pie one of an offensive lineman say Trent Williams Hall of Famer isn't there his percentage go down his qbr is split into half his interceptions go way up when Christian mcaffrey wasn't on the field completion percentage went way down when Debo wasn't on the field and was hurt for three games he went 0 and three in the Super Bowl when he needed to make a play he didn't in the divisional rounds when he needed to make a play he relied on Jordan love throwing a boneheaded interception my point is that he's not Tua Tua is a fighter Tua is good Tua is not a system quarterback Brock pie is you could see it in the stats you could see it in the way he plays you could see it how they call games big games they run it to mcaffrey he can't win the game for the team he relies on the defense he's not a $60 million quarterback and you could pay him 60 million because for all I care the 49ers have the money and they're a smart team and if the Jaguars paid Trevor Lawrence 50 million the 49ers could probably pay pretty 70 million and be okay it's not about that it's about if you gave Trey Lance a whole season with the 49 ERS right now how would he do if you gave JJ McCarthy a full season with the 49ers how would he do if you gave Kirk Cousins coming off at Tor Achilles 36 years old a full season with this team what would he do I think all three of them would do better than Brock pie stats wise clutch game wise winning wise JJ wins games Trey Lance has that athletic ability Kurt Cousins tough veteran Brock pie he's a good kid he has a good story I don't know what he does great he's mobile I guess the checkdown merchant I'm not trying to be too hard on the kid I think he's pretty good in a great offense but I think it's insane that we're thinking of giving him 60 million now I know it makes sense with the market if you look on paper makes sense but when you see him when you really think about it doesn't make sense especially when you could draft a quarterback when you can pick up a quarterback when Nick Mullins when Jimmy Garf play just as good as Brock pie and the thing is that if this was a young team and perie was wanting a three-year deal I'd say go ahead but he wants a six-year deal and when those six years expire Brendan auk will not be on the team George KD will be 37 will not be on the team Debo Samuel will likely not be on the team Trent Williams who wants a new contract right now will not be on the team because he is 40 3 years the point is that when all of those players are gone you have new weapons but you have Kyle Shanahan and Brock pie do you feel confident in Brock P's ability no so why would you extend him to a mindboggling $60 million deal well the stats and this I know sometimes you have to think with your heart not your head Your Heart Makes the real decisions does your heart tell you that when everything else goes away and Pie when he's 31 with older K Hanahan he's going to be okay he's going to get you to Super Bowls no no no but perie probably will get this contract because he's a good enough quarterback in a crazy easy good system in a time where Trevor Lawrence got 50 million it's just crazy because I think for a fact that most quarterbacks could and have run that offense just as good as Brock pury think about this if you plug Justin Fields into that offense give him a year to learn I think he's an MVP what is
