you know um when we talked about Dez and we talked about where role could be you know him potentially being that young person that can play with us as well so we had a vision for him but you feel calls from people all the time about different people about potential trades and those things Desmond was a great kid and did not come to us and demand a trade he did not come to us and do anything like that he was in working out doing the things he's supposed to do the opportunity to present himself for him to get a new start the opportunity presented for us for us to add speed to our room and do some things that our reive as part um with a guy that I just got finished playing against for the last four years that drove me nuts um three years excuse me um but I thought some of those things were the factors and I thought Desmond went out with class and he he was there with class every day and I had no intent on throwing shots at Dez uh when I said we need to improve the quarterback play you know I didn't want to come back and have to defend that but you know it is what it is we needed to play better or I wouldn't be sitting in the seat I still stand by that but it wasn't necessarily shot at Dez it was necessarily shots at all of us you know it's things that has to be done I think Dez played shows great talent shows ability to do really good things I think he'll move on and have a pretty good career with the Arizona Cardinals or whoever else he decides to play for but I'm excited for him to get a fresh start I'm excited for us to get a fresh start at wi out get some speed in our room and develop some things I think the trade married up well for both of us and I think it fits well for us all did you get the impression that he maybe relished a fresh start to some degree that he was okay with you know just talking to Dez on the way out you know I can he since I met him he was a juval spirit he had great energy and he was no different on the way out when I told him hey man you you don't feel free to help use the facility to you decide to leave he's like man speak up man don't be ducking for me and we're talking on the phone I thought it was I thought it was just the the character that he is and the man that he is and I'm I I'm I'm proud of how he handled the situation um it's not always easy for a young fell and a young player and he handled it like a champ
