now we uh we have a very special program so um I just listen to Joe shean and the trainers time do and I do just that how did it feel were able to get back out there and this thing felt awesome you know exciting exciting uh energies all around so uh you got to just keep flowing you know keep working every day it'll be okay what's it been like Sean's been throwing out there every single day to see him and then to get to catch passes from him these last couple of days awesome awesome he's looking like a beast so uh we got to just keep stacking these positive days everything work help D there's so much talk about what BR how do you think yourand this man listen whatever they need me to do I'll do um obviously it's more exciting times I guess you know they're trying to give me the ball more so I'm I'm happy but uh whatever they need do block catch run dive duck dip everything you know I can do here you know talk about maybe it's more spread out more freedom you feel like you'll be maybe away from the in line more this year I don't know that's a good question um you know we're still in our early days of Camp so we're still you know figuring out ourself our own identity and everything so just one day at a time but so far I'm I'm happy do you like you know spreading out I like everything put me anywhere I like it uh EAS yeah I mean I think you know most of of of the plays I had were like the last what five six games so I feel like you know uh God will and we put the whole year together you know really uh you know have consistent effort in you know uh getting better every day and I think great things will happen for us D what's it like to get to know Ree and his as a you know at first I thought he was a weird but now I think he's a great great guy now he's a he's a great great guy great coach uh him with Raves together it's a a great Duo I'm see working M you know block and things like that just what is it like awesome what have you picked up awesomeness no um um no he's he's a very Hands-On guy you know uh very old school guy so you know he he finds ways to get uh not necessarily under my skin but like he tries to get in my head and then I get mad and then we start going at it and then you know it's he's a a great oldfashioned coach I mean did you know he was like you got drill yeah why is he spend so much time with he's with us man we we're the coolest I don't know ask him I don't know did you see a weirdo when you first I was joking so see no you don't got to do that know I mean is there something no no no he's a great coach I did not say that he's a great coach I knew going to take it over the the [Music] hill Tommy Reese is a great tight end Coach you no no no no he's a great tight end Coach I gotta watch you but the rest of that tight end you know Jordan obviously veteran you got Z there GI full back tight end it looks a little bit different yeah yeah I feel like you know we have uh we have Pros in all aspects you know in the whole tight end group I feel like you know we have the speed the strength the the Back Field help we have everything that we need so it's up to us to put it together I don't know if like you've been asked about this but obviously a couple mons backward round right to Nigeria huge I mean me being Nigerian I thought it was one of the best things that could happen for us you know I feel like there's so much talent in Nigeria that we haven't seen yet so uh hopefully God willing we bring it out and we show case our talents announced the other day that he will continue obvious do you like that idea I mean you answered it better than me I mean he loves getting the ball so I I I love Kevin Cohen plays now um I think he calls great plays I think that all of us together you know uh just you know brainstorming our thoughts towards you know one another coaches players players coaches coaches coaches players players you know I feel like we can uh really dissect and get a lot of he've done how how different was this offseason for you compared to previous years I mean not too much different you know just the the training aspect was probably uh raised you know it's shockingly but uh yeah I mean not too much different you know uh try to keep you know I mean I'm in year eight now so at some point you have to have like a routine and everything going on for you so yeah we talked a lot about the development you made right in the first Bowl um was your ever a time in those early years where you struggled with confidence struggled with what confidence and I know you come off as super confident I'm just wondering if at any time ear knows what do you what do you mean by that yeah now you're on the hot seat huh doubted you could play in this I never doubted myself no I never doubted myself but I just you know you know it's it's it's at the end of the day it's God's timing and I am second to him so I follow his timing I follow his uh you know his steps and I just do whatever I can and to just better myself every day Dave did you leave here last August thinking your big season was coming I think it's coming every year you know I I feel like last year wasn't necessarily my my big season I feel like we just got like a little Glimpse but uh hopefully like I said God willing you know we can put it all together from week one to week you know whenever you get what I'm saying David along those lines you guys are in your third year now with Desa some of the guys in the roster are getting up there in years you're now whatever CH BR I'm not old I'm 28 say that is this a critical season I know they're all I know they're all big and they're all magnified but does this one feel bigger than others I feel like everyone feels bigger than than the past you know and this one does feel bigger than others you know what I mean I feel like we have more uh veterans that know what it takes you know what I mean uh and I feel like we it's really up to us this year like I've said every year up to us but this year is really up to us so I'm excited I like the the pressure so last year you sort of got refocused after best let me first say that the accident that you're talking about it was an accident but I'm very glad it happened I feel like it changed my perspective uh immensely you know in terms of just like you know what really matters in life and and uh how how far the human body can can go you know uh but yeah you know I feel like you know uh pretty much you know we've done everything individually that we wanted to thus far but it's up to us you know to get things done as a team as a whole and that's what really matters you know what I mean like yeah I had the Pro Bowl last year but I was still kind of pissed you know just you know being there just not being you know uh practicing for the Super Bowl you know what I mean so everyone I believe on this team inspires to be in that position of playing for a championship and that's what championship football is all about David you mentioned wanting to play for that Championship your schedule this year is why you smiling pretty daunting um but just your thoughts on the the picture in the AFC and the the competitiveness in this conference you know teams like the Chiefs and the bills and obviously your own division how do you feel you guys stack up and just you know what are your thoughts on the road that lies ahead as you try and climb that mountain yeah I mean I do believe that the AFC is uh the most challenging um and with that being said this is the best place to be you know what I mean uh we wouldn't want it easy you know if it was easy then is you know it's not really worth going all out for you know what I mean so uh that's that's the the part of the joy in this crazy game is giving it everything you got and still UNC of you know going all the wayas that vision of youing to your your knees the field after that g it I feel like since I was in first grade and I wanted to be a football player in the NFL it it was at that moment that I I wanted to win the championship you know what I mean uh I mean like just being young just watching it on TV just seeing the emotions you know I remember like it was yesterday you know what I mean so it wasn't at that moment where we lost it was it was like when I decided I wanted to be a an NFL player you know that you know the race began I guess you can say in year three with Desa do you feel like the connection in the chemistry is much better than it has been the first two years and if so how'd you get there I do and just from experience of of of learning each other you know on the field and off the field um you know uh just it's almost like in some ways I kind of know what he's thinking before the balls he can hike and vice versa and that's the type of you know uh connection that we need to uh be successful some people Sur that you taking off at the end of the SE that had something to do with your natural connection do you think it I think it was everybody I think it was everybody even desan included I think helped you know what I'm saying just the connection that we had the the the the energy that that we had together of just being together made us want to play for each other that much more you know what I mean and also feel like you know just getting me the ball times you know I can do some things with it feel me so uh yeah would you say that last year was challenging for you physically or challenging in what in what correlation yeah you talked about pushing through I feel like it was it was easier because I feel like the the hardest part was going through the fire literally and after that you know nothing really is as painful as getting burned you know getting your face burned off so running and you know pushing you know you know on the field I don't think it's anything appared to getting your face face burn so I think that the hardest part was the the the act of you know burning my face and my hand and everything else started you know to smooth out a bit David the adversity that you personally went through and then collectively as a team went through last year what lessons are there to be learned from that experience as you guys come into this season anything worth anything is going to come with adversity and that's the beauty of it you know what I mean um we're going to be here for another what a few more days then back to Cleveland and you know grind it out there too and we're all pushing towards one goal just like every other team and that is so beautiful does that ason continue toess gratitude way that went down still you absolutely gratitude is is the number one thing you know I'm so thankful for my heavenly father for you know number one waking me up waking all of us up here every day so uh just that alone uh is just the utmost gratitude
