When Will The Hot Temperatures In The West Come To An End? | #WeatherAM

all right your National forecast for Monday September the 9th and first of all we'll take a look at some video before we get to our top stories chillak Lake thank you Brad not sure if Brad plunged into the lake or if he just inserted the camera in there but always nice to get a a view of what's below looks beautiful uh temperatures cooling down in BC by the way Mrs Saga Ontario there's some of those scattered showers there over the weekend this was uh in the of a cold front that brought temperatures more like fall than anything else there also some Sunny breaks and beautiful gross more newfinland and Labrador oh that is beautiful all right our headlines today include a soggy start to the day in New Finland Labrador rain and thunderstorms from parts of Southern Ontario and those hot temperatures in the west while they're starting to come to an end let's begin on the East Coast there's that rain now it's been particularly heavy you know west of St John's and east of burgio that's where most the bulk of that rain has been falling and that moves out by this evening and for tomorrow few scattered showers across New Finland and into Nova Scotia so around the HRM towards Cape Breton doesn't look like an all day rain but periods of rain and Tuesday night and Wednesday those showers scattered in nature so not as heavy or steady is what we've been experiencing and of course this is the same system that brought to all that that drenching into Nova Scotia especially on Saturday in parts of Quebec so Halifax drying up after again scattered showers tomorrow Wednesday th Thursday dry frederickton get back up to mid 20s by the end of the week looks good in charlott town maybe a passing shower on Wednesday and in St John's still some cloud cover again little unsettled uh Southern Ontario temperatur still a little below seasonal until you get right down to the southwest corner of the province and then we're back to the mid 20s and with these cooler air we do have a disturbance moving from Georg and Bay down towards Lake Ontario so some scattered showers and thunderstorms locally heavy rains by about 9 10:00 tonight that threat is over with and again just to reiterate the risk of thunderstorms essentially from the St Lawrence and East End of Lake Ontario westwards the shores of Lake Kiron so that could include uh the Golden Horseshoe but after today temperatures start getting a little warmer look at Toronto and Ottawa Sudbury and Thunder Bay as well your temperatures look at Sudbury could be 28 feeling like 32 come Thursday so there's that warmup it's like summer 2.0 as it were and then into Quebec Montreal 20° today Gat no 196 in Quebec City so these temperatures are maybe just Just a Touch below seasonal values but you're going to go back up to above seasonal so Montreal just like your friends in Southern Ontario uh you're getting into that warmer temperatures and dry weather and it looks like it could be an extended period of dry weather for the great lakes and the St Lawrence as well still very hot in parts of Manitoba is scat 33 in Saskatoon in Regina 32 in Brandon and 33 in medicine H but look a little further north Jasper cooling down good news there is that the fire is now considered under control the once burning over 30,000 hectares and we know of course what it did to the town and to the people residing there but a lot of people getting back home now uh BC temperatures below seasonal values cooler temperatures into the interior compared to the hot 30° plus weather you've been experiencing so there's the front the main low is up towards the North Wind and Rain to the north across the South scattered showers and later in the week could be looking at some heavier rains into Southern areas of Alberta and could be looking at more than 50 mm by week send and along with it cooler air [Music] [Music]
