hello everybody Welcome to that's football Arsenal one Brighton one have Arsenal bottled it in relation to you've got to win these types of games if you're going to challenge Manchester City well of course we can talk about that but the V pjm Mo have bottled it I'm sure me and will will be talking about this on the podcast on Monday that is a game changer that is a massive point of contention and if I was an Arsenal fan I'd be bloody Furious you're one nil up deam rice gets sent off for a second and yellow card you're down to 10 men for 40 minutes against a team like Brighton you know you're not playing bloody Burnley here it's going to be tough Brighton are a decent team and in some ways Arsenal might say getting a point from that situation shows you know what Arsenal are all about that togetherness that hard work and even look trying to win the game with 10 men incredibly hard in the Premier League and I think what we've seen today in relation to bottled it well look technically yes you can't drop those points against Man City in this league you just can't do it Arsenal fans know it tonight you know it I know it man city fans will be like beat West Ham we're on our way um it's a massive dropping of two points for Arsenal but this is the Premier League Beyond Manchester City this is the Premier League without Man City you you know you when when when Villa won at Arsenal last year part of you goes well that's the title to Man City boring but then part of you goes that's the strength of the Premier League though you couldn't have called that and then Aston Villa go and do it I want these type of results in the Premier League I just don't want Man City in it because Man City would you know they're a juggernaut and Arsenal have dropped two points there because you have to win those type of games but what it actually is it just shows you the strength of the Premier League that Brighton are no mugs themselves but you'd be absolutely guttered get your comments in what did you think about Declan Rice's sending off because it has split opinion and I think we're going to put a poll up on the community tab on this channel for it and talk about it on the podcast on Monday so get your votes in on there as well I think that it's not a sending off I I really don't I think what we've got here is quite clearly that PJ moel doing what they do every year messing things up but also it's a new season and um basically if you kick the ball away even if it's 2 MERS or 2 cm technically it's a yellow card therefore it's a yellow card therefore you've had a yellow card therefore it's a red card therefore you've done a good job and I'm sure Howard Webb will be whatsapping Chris kavar saying don't worry Chris you have actually done your job but it's like when you go back to school after the summer holidays I used to do me homework for about two weeks it was a novelty and then by October I won't do me homor I've got stickers to collect I've got football to play Sabo leagues I wasn't bothered and this is exactly what happens in the Premier League for the first week or so first month or so sorry you get these new rules and then by Christmas you're not getting sending off for that you know I guarantee you rodri same situation Christmas does that nothing nothing will happen same same for bloody Alexi McAllister at Liverpool you won't get a second yellow card for that I mean watch it back watch it back it's barely a foul he wouldn't get a second yellow for the foul um veltman I think goes to kick the ball deam rice just sort of nudges it a little bit and then belman kicks deam rice it's just it's just not for me if it's if it's daan Rice's first yellow card fine it's soft but you don't send a player off for that and and and we want common sense and people will say well if it was a yellow card if you didn't have a yellow card then yellow card if you did have a yellow card but it's common sense it's a game Cher we all you know where's the common sense we know that this premier league title race is going to be very very difficult for anybody other than Man City and then you've got referees making silly decisions like that which are very very unique it's very much down to the temperament of the referee and how anal he's finishing in feeling in that particular moment and he decides technically Dean's done that I'm going to ruin this game and it does ruin the game it ruins the game for Arsenal it obviously gets Brighton back in and I'm not taking anything away from Brighton and I mean effectively Brighton have got seven points it's a very good start to the season for their new manager I don't think either team was particularly fantastic today but I think if Dean rice doesn't get sent off Arsenal scor the second goal the same way Liverpool did against brenford last week at anfield and it ends up being 2-nil to Arsenal but obviously the red card changes the game and look Brighton have been a bit fortuitous man united played them last week that offside technically was offside but it's a it's it's Jammy on Brighton's part isn't it um they end up winning the game go to Emirates technically it's a red card they end up getting a draw out of the game so Brighton will be over the moon especially with the new manager Arsenal will be furious and and the big thing is deam rice now misses the game against Spurs after the international break so it's the trouble when they get the red cards wrong is not only does it mess up that game it now messes up your next game because you won't have deam rice against Spurs so it's problematic when these decisions happen but there'll be plenty of people in the comments saying stop moaning he shouldn't have done it technically this technically that I'm not disagreeing with you I'm just saying for me that's not a sending off I don't agree with it but there'll be plenty of people who do all I'll say is if that happens to your player and your Club You' be going bloody mad like Arsenal fans are secondly will that be a second yellow card in October November December January February March no it won't it won't it happens a lot and it won't it's just a this is a new rle Ru that they'll discard probably after the international break so Arsenal have been a bit hard done by I think but uh as I said overall the game wasn't that great anyway and in the context of the title of course Arsenal haven't bottled the title but when you don't beat Brighton at home it's the same as when you don't beat Villa at home last year honestly Arsenal have bottled a win there technically they have like technically it was it was a red card for Dean rice technically Arsenal have bottled that result today we all know deep down they haven't bottled anything but what we you know technically can you afford to drop two points at home to Brighton no you can't technically what is the downside of that it makes the title race harder what's the tit what's the title race if you don't win it man City's who wins the title man city did you win it no did you technically bottle it well these these sort of things feed into that and they're the sort of games at the start of season where you just want to win and go yeah we didn't play that well but we won and I think Arsenal would have done that without the red card I think Arsenal would have done that because that's what they've done the first two games of the Season they've looked good they've looked capable of just getting the three points keeping the clean sheet which we know they can do and um unfortunately it is a major event that changes the course of the game and unfortunately it's a contentious refereeing decision now some people might say you've been a bit calm here goldbridge normally you go mad about the pgmol I I I'm just not surprised count up the amount of times in a season these people and their misinterpretation of the rules and their inconsistency messes up the title race the top four race the relegation race the mid-table Battle Race you know they do this all the time and what what nobody can agree with sorry what nobody can disagree with is that we're talking about this because of officiating again and also nobody can argue that it's not divisive it's a contentious decision whichever side you sit on it doesn't really matter I guarantee you it's going to be 6041 way or maybe even 50/50 so it's a contentious issue that causes Arsenal to drop points um and look who knows if Dean rice doesn't get sent off maybe Brighton go up a gear and win 2-1 we don't know but what we do know is the red card decided the game and and Brighton might look at it and feel that um they could have got something out it but it was a poor game uh for me the goalkeepers were the two best players on the pitch which says everything about it get your comments in below make sure you smash a like on the video I'm live for West Ham against Man City I've got a feeling that West Ham will get a result here but maybe that was the Brighton game that was the that was the shock result of the day because um we didn't expect that get your comments in take care I'll speak to you on the next one
