Takeaways from #UWHuskies 2024 season opener win over Weber State

hey Christian capable here from onm mon lake.com for Seattle sports tonight from Husky Stadium the Washington Huskies won their season opener against weer State 35-3 just some quick takeaways Jonah Coleman uh the star tonight three rushing touchdowns over a 100 yards for just the third time in his career um you saw what makes him special and and why this coaching staff uh speaks so highly of him first game of the Jed fish ER they don't give up a touchdown to really not ever let them get anything going at all in the passing game um I think was key to letting them work through some of those uh early offensive struggles Will Rogers he was 20 of 26 tonight for 250 yards as Jed fish said afterward they got a lot to clean up uh particularly offensively and we'll see how the defense holds up against uh a higher caliber of opponent as they progress through this big 10 schedule but uh wins a win it was a comfortable win they got a lot of freshman and playing time in the fourth quarter we'll see how they hold up against Eastern Michigan next week
