folks Josh Allen has impressed a lot of people since being drafted out of Wyoming in 2018 but that didn't stop him from being the most overrated player in the NFL according to an ESPN poll that was taken by 103 of his peers notably Allen was also voted the best trash talker in the league the bills have been in the playoff mix consistently with Allen but haven't been able to get over the mom's challenge okay Kimberly you got this one first is this something or not nothing that Allan was voted the most overrated quarterback by his peers this is such a nothing Burger I this is such a nothing Burger list I disagree there are 11 103 people let's do the math y'all 103 guys 11 voted him most overrated so 92 people had some sense I guarantee between Mina you me Damen there's 11 people out there who don't like us Stephen a for sure we do not care we do not care way more than 11 we do not care all of us you know like that and and wish was 11 for me no seriously that'd be great odds so it you know okay I didn't know the 11 part the I didn't know that it was just 11 yeah now the the the sad thing is is that even any of his contemporaries would pick him is ludicrous to me and I think it's some guys who feel some kind of way when he's barreling down the L and he bowls you over or he's beating you it like on a last second hail marry touchdown this guy he's to me he's the top two top three quarterback in the NFL yeah so when you are at that level we don't we don't worry with what other people say please Mina you know I I think Kim makes a great Point first of all about the actual numbers here uh they were very split between the overrated votes and you know the thing about overrated underrated is you have to start from the premise of what is the rating I suspect perhaps some of these players thought hey why do we keep putting him in or why do some people put him in the same conversation as Patrick Mahomes given their head-to-head record and how that's gone and I would agree with that if you're putting Josh Allen in the same tier as Patrick Mahomes then he's overrated but anything other than that I completely disagree and and I think what bothers me most about the Allen discourse generally um is he's kind of mischaracterized as being this Boomer bust quarterback when the reality is he's actually been ruthlessly efficient he has developed so much as an underneath passer taking his Gams in fact over the last three seasons he based on success rate which is basically down to- down efficiency has been better than Patrick Mahomes than Joe Bro the bills offense has been the most efficient offense in football so while he sometimes is reckless with the ball and throws interceptions and we focus on those I believe to a disproportionate amount he has been not only incredibly explosive he has the big plays he has also been efficient too and I think that gets lost in the shuffle let's focus on the 11 folks that decided to call him overrated with their ignorant ass s that don't make any sense whatsoever this is a guy that's had 48 wins over the last four years um when you look at his 173 total touchdowns passing rushing receiving that's 23 more than anyone else during that time period in a four-year span um and and the most in NFL history this is who we're talking about here we talking about a guy that's 0 and four in Playoff starts against Patrick Mahomes and Joe burrow but five- one against everybody anybody else and he's been to an AFC Championship game and a couple of divisional playoff games he doesn't deserve that kind of label being overrated which begs the question why would anybody think to do such a thing now me personally I'm just speculating there is no reporting here I don't know all I'm doing is reading the tea leaves and paying attention to the kind of verbiage that was put out there Stephen A tell him in the months you sure these 11 plays ain't cool with Stefon Diggs his former wide receiver who wanted out and is now a member of the Houston Texans and also watched as Jos Josh Allen was like Hey man we gonna be just fine I wish him nothing but the best but wouldn't even say he missed him is sure I'm just wondering this is why Stephen A needs to be developing shows they're counting me down to break cuz he comes up with the best conspiracy theories ever and then we're all sort of curious all right we'll be back after this to something that happened earlier this week ESPN put out this article we pulled 103 NFL players at the Players themselves and asked a variety of questions including who was the most overrated quarterback in the NFL and the one who got the most votes was Josh Allen now I I I have been informed that this got dwood a little fired up so we're going to do a little impr MTU version of firewood today and see if this is you fired up dwood is Josh Allen the most overrated quarterback in the NFL you know Granny I I I literally I told my I told my wife that I was going to try to watch my language on things like try to clean it up now that I'm a you know grandfather and all that type of stuff but when I say BS like this it really ticks me off okay what the hell are the players thinking about here Josh Allen one of the top three quarterbacks one of them dogs that can literally put a franchise on his back and he's somehow overrated are we saying this because he hasn't been able to get past Patrick mahol who I've constantly said we're like in our Jordan era I'm comparing patch Mahomes too Michael freaking Jordan okay and we want to sit here and talk about patch Mahomes I mean that Josh Allen is overrated I tell you what all these players out here I tell you what if Josh Allen was was available to go on your team I know damn well you want Josh Allen on your team so what in the hell are these guys talking about these are the same players and I'm a former player yeah these are the same players that had Patrick Mahomes at number four on the top 100 list what are these guys thinking about I I'm just like bro like what what are we doing here what are we what are we doing we're not having it no we no we we are not having it I completely agree and I said it we said it yesterday Josh Allen is a victim of things over which he had absolutely no control namely he walked off the field in Kansas City in a playoff game having thrown a game-winning touchdown with 13 seconds left when you throw a touchdown pass that puts your team ahead with 13 seconds left in the NFL rule book it says you've just won the game that's one of the most ridiculous painful and inexcusable losses that any team has ever suffered in a postseason game and holding it against Allan who was the one guy who had nothing to do with it whatsoever he's standing on the sideline watching in horror everything every conversation about him would be different today Kmart if we could rewrite those 13 seconds yeah uh we are talking about Josh Allen differently we're giving him the respect he is a guy that can beat you a number of ways I think the the interception conversation he's a victim of the fact that he can do it all and he is not afraid and there are times where you think oh where's it going to go right but that's different because he can do so much and I I 11 players have no sense cuz that's 11 players voted for him that's all I know 90 something other players got some sense that's it that that was the takeaway for me listen I mean who knows what the interpersonal relationships involved here are like some guys don't like them whatever it is they keep losing to them that's why they're fore fore for foreign spee for Fore [Music] foree spee foree fore fore fore fore spe [Music] spee fore spee that's for fore for
