well the teams on their way out and 13 years on from their second lift of this trophy Birmingham city will dream of a success once more but a tough test lies ahead in the shape of Premier League side Fulham who will hope to emulate their semi-final run of last season their best ever performance in this competition [Music] well before we get underway here there will be a moment of reflection to remember the life of the former England managers fenor and Ericson who very sadly passed away at the age of [Music] 76 St chases it down but it was very well watched there by Gris Clara it's great precise penalty he did exactly what he needed to do and fmer ahead yeah really frustrating for Birmingham they made a positive start they got the ball forward but one error the Premier League side will will punish you it's a a long runup but he just stutters he slightly delays before he takes it the ball before he strikes it and then the keeper moves and he tucks the ball in the other Corner here is Stanfield who will try and make the most of that experience and look at that Jay Stansfield scores against the club he spent last season on loan he was their top scorer today he is in the opposing camp and he makes it 2-0 for Fulham well it looked as if it over complicated The Chance by going back onto his right foot but it's an uniring finish but defensively this is a dreadful goal to give away you see Ethan Le is is worried about ceson ceson is not the danger you've got a center forward on your left shoulder there's no pressure on the ball so the center halves have to drop the fullback has to get round on the cover it's just basic it's too too easy but Stanfield to get in when he comes back onto his right foot I thought he might have a problem he got a recovering Center half there but finishes it quite [Applause] brilliantly Alie me well it was always uh going to be a big ass from that distance he wouldn't put it past him though I still think he he should really be dealing with there's the header back so poor bck does well just has to react and stick out of boot could have turned into his own it has to do something unfortunately he's gone past the post not in the [Applause] net Anderson trying to find the way through gets fouled just on the edge I'm not sure he is fouled I feel the ball has got away from him and he runs into the defender who doesn't seem to do anything kenka it's a clever turn but he's not fouled he's simply not fouled kenka doesn't step into him doesn't try and play the ball he realizes it's been overrun I think Anderson makes the very most of that but this is an opportunity the freak has been given make the most of it it will be vson off well it was a brilliant strike hit the woodwork well he backs himself to pick out the top corner just puts too much on it 6 in low it hits the bar and probably goes in there so much power on it Casta Reed out to Wilson Wilson opened up nicely again put three or four passes together get there midfielders breaking forward into dangerous areas opportunities will arise but it's a wild swipe at the ball from Wilson his left foot normally more reliable than that [Applause] here's Cochran who takes in and he forces the save from Bender well the power is certainly there it's a save the goalkeeper should make pretty much at him it's worth a pop as he gets it out of his feet [Applause] well stolen away here from Reed Williamson couldn't make the most of [Applause] it castana with the header away got the opportunities they just haven't taken them tonight absolutely that that is the story they' play as Under Pressure they've brought P them as a team Under Pressure they steal the ball back they just don't quite create that quality chance that they they're looking [Music] [Applause] for perhaps another opportunity right at the end and it's wide from Wilson just seems to take One Touch Too Many nobody still closes him down that's why he has the space to get the the shot [Applause] in well Fulham have got the job done and they did it early on and that's all they needed to do two goals in the opening 15 minutes of this game and that was enough to make sure Fulham made
