I've tried to make a video about Imane Khelif for a long time now.

so I wanted to just say a quick thing about women and comedy and um The Stereotype of a women not being funny um I get the joke I get the joke about women not being funny because I have never been able to laugh no not that's not true it's rare that I have been able to laugh with women the same way that I can laugh with men um whe when you're laughing with like other women you've a lot of like other things to like take into consideration the banter is very different it's very rare that you're like all on the same level and can kind of have like the same the same laugh as each other like there are uh like now that I'm older like the the older women that I've known I've been able to have like a proper laugh with but if if there's any kind of emotion or cycle that needs to be taken into consideration you're not on the same level like all the time it's very different it's very diff I don't want to be like Oh I'm not one of the girls blah blah blah because don't get me wrong like I've I've been the same where you'll take like offense to something or you'll like what does that mean you know but I think years of being such a huge like fan of like standup comedy you learn to like laugh at kind of these stereotypes and you kind of Rebel yeah bye ninja you kind of rebel against against being one at the same time like unintentionally you know what I mean so I think I've kind of rebelled against being uh that's offensive whereas I know a lot of other women who are just like that's offensive or what do you mean by that or something has like triggered you in some way and it just doesn't seem to happen the same like it doesn't it doesn't happen with guys the same way and don't get me wrong it's not to say that it never happens with guys but it's just it's different you know um I don't know I feel like in in this in fighting for like women's rights and wanting like women stories to be heard and things like that it can very it can very quickly go into like this man hating sphere and I'm not like a manher in any way like um some of my favorite music comes from men some of my favorite comedy comes from men and the great thing the great thing about like meeting more men is that I also get to share like this badass side of like women with men as well and hopefully I don't know hopefully we have like more of an appreciation for one of uh one another at the end of it hopefully we see a little bit more like eye to eye because I feel like there is I don't know this whole thing with aain khalifas really made me think about why there's so much hatred towards this woman and it's a [ __ ] Witch Hunt and it's really I don't know it's really gotten under my skin because like the scrutiny that she's been under and I just think yeah I've been I've been sucked into that as well of like being so headstrong and like so I'm right about this I'm blindsided to anything else you know and I just think you've got to have a bit more depth than that oh sorry I'm cold it's cold now it's [ __ ] September it's cold but I think you've got to have a bit more you've got to have a bit more depth you've got to have a bit more you've got to have a bit more of a well-rounded view of like men and women and once you see like somebody as like the enemy or what you view as the enemy as like a man it's really hard to like not see that anymore you know you're so you get so convinced that you won't like look at like other reason and things like that and the thing is um there's like photographs of a a m khif like online as a young as a young girl there's like video evidence of her father like showing it this like this is my daughter she's got like a whole country backing her up she's got so many people backing her up and it's just like I don't know why that many people would lie about about somebody like not there's not one person who's come out and said like oh yeah they changed her gender or anything like that and just when I look at her father I'm like I just see a proud father I don't think I don't think somebody that proud of their child I I can't imagine a father being that proud of having like a a cheating child he doesn't strike me as somebody she strikes me as somebody genuine and I feel really [ __ ] bad for her I feel really bad for her because she's an alerian woman who has come from poverty who has [ __ ] won a gold medal and it's just been it's it's just been eradicated it's just been eradicated because everyone's like prove yourself prove yourself prove yourself and she's like what the [ __ ] more do I have to do like I've already proven myself I have fought on one gold and now you want my blood you want my literal blood that's what people want from her they're like show us your DNA that means show me your [ __ ] blood I don't believe you I think it's awful and I think everybody who has [ __ ] doubted her on this side of the movement owes her an apology really owes her an apology and if I'm wrong about this I'm [ __ ] wrong about it and I'll happily be wrong about it I'll happily say you you fooled me you you pesky man you you fooled me I will throw up my hands and say you fooled me but the other side of it is we're engaging in a Witch Hunt against a young woman who was won an Olympic gold medal I can't think of anything more misogynist than that
