Developing this weekend. Corsicana ID says an assistant principal is recovering in the hospital. She was hurt during a classroom disruption and airlifted to a hospital. We're learning a student could now be facing charges. So this happened Thursday at Collins Intermediate school. Our Janelle Ford spoke with a few families who say they were kept in the dark about what exactly happened inside that classroom. It really concerns me when school let out at Collins Intermediate. It just, it's really really really scary parents waiting outside for their 5th and 6th graders had a lot of questions. I would like to know how it happened about what led up to the school's assistant principal Kendra Rogers being airlifted from campus Thursday to Parkland Hospital in Dallas and we don't know because they won't tell us nothing. The district so far releasing very few details. We had a disruption in the classroom that escalated, led to an assistant principal being injured. Corsicana ISD. Communication director Raymond Lennox wouldn't elaborate on the type of disruption. We don't know if it was a stabbing or a shooting or what but said it happened in a small classroom with less than 10 people inside and gave us this update about Mrs Rogers. She is improving. She's in good spirits. She's very strong. There was a case last night. Our hearing last night for the student, the Navarro County district attorney says that hearing was a detention hearing and that the boy is now under parental supervision with an ankle monitor. Adding that charges are pending and will be determined once the investigation is complete, we're just going to wait and let the legal system play out and hopefully MS Rogers will be ok. And back at work soon I get knots in my stomach every time I have to bring him to school and drop him off in Corsicana. This is kind of scary. I'm Janelle Fort.
