worthwhile experiment you mentioned we was it a worthwhile experiment with Joe tesor on night one give me your overall thoughts of uh Joe tesur on tonight's raw I thought he was good like I for good for a first night you know um I think he clearly was up on the product um knew I would say most of the um uh signature moves um I think he he missed the torpedo Moscow but that that's that's you know we could forgive that one um but I think overall he sounded perfectly fine I think like still missing maybe um that sort of like extra dimension of like um amplification that you would expect from a pro wrestling commentator to really kind of like heighten the sort of energy level of certain parts of a wrestling match but it's also his first night and I think with him he brings a lot of name value um and and legitimacy from maybe um casual Sports uh fans of casual sports or fans of other other sports that he commentates that I think makes up for for that lack um again it's also his first time so um I think we can say that like at least I can say on his first night I thought he sounded good so I I do look forward to seeing what he um evolves into in the future yeah I my rule for any of these new voices is I don't get to um you know a a great first night I don't put a ton of stock into that and a bad first night I don't put a whole lot of stock into that and I think Joe tesor did did a fine job tonight I think that there's you he is this guy is a great sports broadcaster and he has product knowledge and and it's not like fake product knowledge either where it's a guy who's just has had to cram for this for two months it's like it's this guy has been a fan for a long long time and that I think comes through um and I think he's just going to find like his rhythm like this isn't like calling boxing or football and it's it's something uh different I I think as well to get more like he was really challenged in some of these where you have to he had to you know be he had to react to Uncle howdy and the Wyatt 6 he had to get so he had to do a super Serious injury angle with CM Punk like he had to go all across the board and um and be able to convey that which is going to be naturally out of your comfort zone when you're used to just calling traditional Sports and this is a hybrid but the punk reaction in particular I thought thought he did a really good job of and and I thought he did a good job of it because he didn't feel an urge to overact he didn't feel it an urge to OV exaggerate how actually concerned we should be at a scene like this he I think did what a professional sports cast Caster would do in that situation and that's to try to stay professional and try to stay calm and try to react as if hey this is uh something that's going on in the background but we have to um uh move ahead and and and carry on with the broadcast maybe that's just sort of like a natural thing that he has but I thought it did kind of help make that moment feel a little bit more legitimate you know if Tom Brady got beads put into his mouth and claymor that is how you would want to call it exactly what his inspiration is I'm sure yeah hey if you like this video consider joining our patreon the post wrestling Cafe multiple bonus podcasts every week add free shows and access to our full archive otherwise a like And subscribe as much as appreciated thank you for watching you
