Football is back this weekend. The Cardinals are gonna kick off the season at home for the first time since 2020 when they welcome Austin P tomorrow. We've got Jim Stratman getting us all set for the game from inside L and M stadium right now. Uh Jim, we know you've all had a really good season last year. A lot of fans are hoping and believing they can do it again. That is certainly the hope, Eric, a lot of excitement surrounding the program specifically coming off of what was their first ever AC C title game appearance last year, hoping to do maybe one better this year and I'm joined by Josh H. He's the athletic director, let's first start off with last year. That was about as good a first year for a head coach. I think you could hope for honestly with Jeff Brom coming in, it really was, you know, I don't want to say anybody expected that because I don't think anybody expected it. But I think our fans expected Jeff to do, uh, to do what he's done since he's been here, which is make this program better. And, uh, he's just a great ambassador. He's a great coach. He's, uh, uh, it's just, it, it's a lot of fun working with him. 10 wins last year. First time you guys did that in just about a decade. That's got to be really energizing for the program. What are you guys feeling this year as we head into Saturday home opener? First time? You've been able to do that to start off the season in a few years as well. Yeah, like you mentioned, I think just the excitement around not just football, but the athletic department as a whole. Uh, you look at the volleyball match where we played number three, Wisconsin at the center on, uh, on Wednesday, Tuesday. I can't even remember what day it is. Uh, but got that win, uh, you know, both our men's and women's soccer teams haven't lost yet. Uh, then you get the football and all the excitement around our football program and basketball, women's basketball. I could go on and on. As I've told a lot of our fans and our coaches and our staff, we've got some momentum. We've just got to take advantage of it right now. What's one thing that you're really looking forward to about Saturday as we kick off the season, uh, just getting the season started? I mean, this is, uh, I feel like game week of the first game is just excruciatingly slow. It's like, what are we 29 hours? Uh, fortunately it's a noon game, but just getting all our fans in here because to your point, they're excited and you can sense that, you know, we're over 40,000 season tickets sold for the first time in a long time. Our student sections totally sold out. Uh, you know, just, just the excitement around the program. Just looking forward to noon. Here we go noon tomorrow right here inside L and N Stadium. That is when the season kicks off, Eric. I was looking again this morning seeing if there was some tickets available, there are still some single game tickets available. So if you want to come on out and take in the experience, still able to do that.
