Metro Atlanta Divine 9 launches a Voter Registration and Mobilization Summit ahead of 2024 Election

it's really an honor to be here in such an August setting with so many beautiful divine nine brothers and sisters as we talk about one of the most important things that is happening here in Georgia and that's the right to vote uh as he announced I'm attorney Jal G 13th president of the Georgia state conference of the NAACP I'm also the president of the Atlanta NAACP but more importantly I'm a civil rights attorney I am a social justice advocate in doing this work for almost 50 years now in that capacity and one of the things that I've noticed since 2020 is the outright assault on black voters and that's why it's important to have this conversation with my Greek brothers and sisters because it is incumbent upon us to now do the work of our ancestors it's incumbent upon us to make sure that Dr King and third good and so many of those that have gone on um John L and so many others their work does not stay in the past but it continues
