and real quick before we jump to Oregon State for a little bit I want to bring up a guy you may want to pay some close attention to in the coming weeks Oregon offensive lineman Charlie Pickard a Portland native who chose Oregon over scholarship opportunities has been gaining attention this fall Camp mainly a special teams guy in 2023 is a sophomore but now picking up steam at Center who will start for Oregon Landing is tight lipped as normal but here's picker on why Oregon ended up being the right choice my dad went to school here that's basically the number one reason I came here is to kind of represent him our family everything like that and then uh seeing what Ryan walk did here was pretty like really important to me uh understanding the tradition of everything that goes on here the tradition of guys like Shane Jake Hansen C Throckmorton guys that have played here and really giv their whole life to this program that's something that I grew up with in high school it's something I wanted to keep going on in college and I felt like this is the perfect place to do that and traditions respected like no other place here
