the plan for the day! all right so we are going to go get two more studs and a couple more of these lug nuts and yeah we're going to try and go swap these out really quick and also figure out this uh coil over situation and see why something's skipping under there I thought I would regret if I didn't film this so let's go so I just got to the auto parts store and uh toolbox set I put in here just in case got some coolant to top it off some new lugs and stuff going to go try and replace these two that need done for sure and I just got extras just in case I haven't taken any of the other uh wheels off but we're going to go ahead go to the place and uh get this done hopefully before work so being a little ambitious but that's just how it is right [Music] all right we made it to the spot I'm just going to check this stuff out now get this wheel taken off and see how easy it'll be to do this quick stud job can't get over again the interior of this car with the blue floor mats see it's so nice and tasteful I'm just driving through Japan right now BL tooth [Music] [Music] all right let's go and take the Subaru and take it to the auto part store and go pick up these things and see if we can figure this out all right one more [Music] time it's funny this car has never been winter drove uh as I was told and um yeah I'm definitely going to be the first to break that but how could you not right like an all-wheel drive turboed car like on that powder day she's going to be drove she's going to be droven in the winter but she'll be maintained properly no rust all right AC's still working good just made it to the spot to quickly do these studs and uh yeah check the other lug nuts and see if any of the other ones are stripped I'm curious myself so we're going to pull her in here and get to work well replacing wheel hub studs next clip here had to go run and get an impact gun that was forgotten so finally going to throw this under unfortunately the pinch welds have been used for jacking which I don't like to do they're already used so rip the wheel off get to it okay so we will need our 19 socket rip the wheel off and then we're going to chase taking off the caliper and this is what we are going to replace right there another one this guy here was needed done only grabbing on like the very bottom ends of the thread brand new tires new tires all the way around simply can't wait to go through the whole build process with this car that is why I got it these are going to get redone love these so just used the 17 socket wrapped out the bottom caliper bolt an unfortunate thing is that my bottom camber bolt for my my coil is in the way of me getting the top one with a long socket so I either need a short socket or I'm going to have to remove this so if you're going to do that you want to make sure not the top one the bottom one but this is just an example you want to make sure that you mark like the nut and the bolt to the knuckle you can align this all to be in the exact same spot if you're going to do it like that [Music] as so okay if you're going to use a washer with a bigger circumference than your Bolt the trick is is to cap it off with the spacer and then the smallest washer that fits your bolt so at least it has something to press against and not be able to move around as much so it can stay flat avoid cross threading when your lug will pull it through so let's go ahead and try this all right that's pretty much a job done here now what I'm going to do is for those back knuckle bolts for the calipers I'm going to look for a torque spec it's probably going to honestly only be like 70 or 80 so torque the inner two that you undid get your torque spec for your wheel this wheel is ready to go back on after that's done and we'll be good to go he I guess for my car here for a 2005 empreza 60 ftlb for the knuckle mounting bracket bolts for the calipers and then my wheels of course are going to be 70 which should pull these studs all the way through and seam it all nicely lug nuts to use extra studs just in case well the GoPro died so have to do completing the job it on my iPhone hopefully this comes out good but a job done just going to torque this back it up go for a cruise I'm going to charge the GoPro and we are going to take this for a night cruise check out my cousin's new Subaru as well sweet thanks for following along obviously before I put the wheel on and torqued it I just started the car straightened the wheel out um tightened the upper Reservoir cap for the brake fluid pumped the brakes a few times next thing we're going to sort out with this is going to be that coil over get it all loosened up and we're going to get some covers on all these coils do the boring part torque that wheel to 70 get it all done next clip that you will see will be us driving this for the first time since this job exciting satisfaction awesome got it all torqued to just over 70 ftlb sweet sweet clutch slave cylinder fluid both three dot stay away from the little one this is the one you want to crack and retighten at the end of your job for the brake fluid brake pressure is good neutral sweet super
