Oscar Piastri Post Race Interview | Disappointed With P4 Finish at the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix

I mean what are your feelings about that at the end of the race I know it's hard because behind you on the screen is your teammate who won today so the pace is there what was going on um just got stuck in in the dirty air really and uh it was as simple as that I think when I had clear air the pace was was strong um just I spent about 65 of the 72 laps uh right behind someone so um yeah not a not a great start and then um yeah just not enough of a pace difference to try and get past really so of course a bit of a a disappointing result especially you know given the pace of the car so um yeah just not quite the weekend I was looking for I mean the team would have been looking for a one two today I'm sure looking at the pace in that car so what can you do about these starts cuz actually it was both of you and I don't know whether your start was affected by the fact that Lander got wheel spin or did you both suffer similarly no I think we both suffered from from the same thing um yeah just didn't didn't get a good launch at all and uh that was that was pretty much it so um yeah it seemed like we both had a very similar issue uh I think it was if it was just us to our starts would have been pretty even but when you compared it to everyone else they were pretty average so um yeah something to to look at but um yeah I think there's quite a few things to to try and review from from this weekend this car does have Pace though brought some upgrades they seem to be working as well there are lots of positives to take how do you turn this around in Monza is it a case of listen we've got to qualify one two and then the wins between the two of us now that's a 22 second Gap today yeah I mean that's that's what it should be really um I I think yeah for myself you know getting stuck in in 30 air is really what what ruined my race I think um you know I had a decent Tire Delta to to Russell and then I could get past him pretty quick but to try and get to the clerk I had to use the tires pretty hard and by the time I got there I just didn't have enough left so um yeah clearly the pace in the car is strong and uh showed that qualifying is is still where your weekend can be won and lost a lot so um that's definitely an area of focus
