Postgame at NYR (12/3): Addison

obviously you guys came up short today but the resilience of the group kind of showed their the tough start would you what you see about the comeback there even though it fell short H look we don't quit um I mean we're hard hardworking group and uh you know no matter what the score is we're going to play right till the end so um you know I think we want to create that identity for ourselves and and uh have other teams know that we're never going to quit to Lose a Guy like Nico and emberson a guy who's been playing pretty well especially on the back end just to step up like you guys did and work through that what's what's the mentality of the group it's next man up right um I mean you know since since I've got here there's been a lot of guys down to you know injuries or whatnot so um you know that's part of the NHL guys stepping up guys filling roles and um you know you got to make the most of your opportunity and uh when you get out there you you know you got to do your best have you seen that no quit attitude sort of just develop over the last couple weeks in particular with these guys for sure I mean since I've been here that's been the biggest uh biggest thing for us is hard work and and we don't quit so uh that's the only non-negotiable and um obious obviously that starts with our coach he uh he says that every day right so um I mean when you have a coach that demands hard work uh you go out and you do it and just for yourself uh uh last few games or so a lot a lot more production there um um you just feel like you're just getting more and more comfortable and just being to show more and more of your game yeah I mean you know the more you play uh the more you get put in different situations more confidence you have right so I mean it's the same for any player um you know you get more touches you get more time uh you get more confidence so it's nice to see the you know goals and stuff like that or assists or whatever but um I like where our team's at right now and and we're working hard you guys did have that 3-2 lead there what do you guys had to do better defensively just sort of kind of lock down and not give them the four uh consecutive right there just close it out I mean um any team would say the same right you get a lead you got to just try to close it out and um you know lock it down the best you can so um they're obviously a good team and uh they got a lot of speed and a lot of skill so um it's hard to defend but um like I said we worked great till the end
