got the advantage now because it's over guys. The next game they play will be for real. If I'm Jerod Mayo at least I'm looking at Mike Tomlin like well at least that guy still can't decide on who his quarterback is. And he's been coaching as a head coach a lot longer than I have. This continues to be a conversation. Who is the starting quarterback in Pittsburgh? Akbar you stand tall with this opinion. I really do. This has been an interesting one. I mean, in fact, I was up all night like going like who's going to win this one? So yeah I was and so it actually inspired me to write a poem. This is a big fight. This is like a boxing match. This reminds me of some of those old school boxing boxing matches I grew up watching. So I wrote a poem. You guys want to hear it? Poetry and boxing. Yes, yes. So it's poetic. It was. It was inspired by the great Muhammad Ali. You know, I look at these guys, they're in the steel City. It sounds like. Like this is what it's supposed to be. So here we go. I put it together. This is right here. This is the fight card right here. All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the main event in the black corner standing tall with the experience, the precision and the poise of a seasoned champion. The man who's no stranger to the spotlight. With the moves so slick. They call him dangerous. It's Russell dangerous. Wilson. And in the yellow corner, the young contender with fire in his eyes. Next to the Allegheny River, ready to prove he belongs at the top. The rising star who's been making waves and won't back down. It's the electrifying Justin Lightning field. All right, all right. Steel city, there's only one thing left to do. Let's throw down. Here we go. This is how the fight goes down. Wilson steps into the challenge and starts to retreat. All of a sudden, Phil's moving back further. He'll be out of a ride, so let's ride. Wilson scrambles to the left. Wilson scrambles to the right. Look at old Russ. Dangerous in the spotlight. Phil's keeps retreating, but there's not enough room. It's only a matter of time till Wilson seals the deal. The steel Wilson seals his doom. That's all right. Keep with me. Fields keeps fighting. Keep going. Fields is still standing, but his hopes wears a frown as the veteran skill starts shutting him down. Now field disappears from view. The fans are getting frantic, but Coach Tomlin is dynamic. Then Wilson hits with the pass. What a beautiful throw and the ball sails through as if guided by the glow. What a sight to see. And the fans now know who the starter will be. Hold on, hold on. Fields is still hustling, but coach Tomlin stands tall. It's the veteran. He's chosen and Russell's got it all. Who would have thought when they came to this show that they see Wilson rise and fields lay low? Yes. The crowd didn't know when they first saw this fuss, but now it's clear as day that Russell's got all the goodies to stay and not my goodies. And still the undisputed quarterback starter for the Steelers, Russell Wilson. Ooh, I got a little punch drunk at the top there, but I still was able to get through it. But it's Russell Wilson I mean this is one that I went to bed at like midnight. I went to bed at midnight working on this. And in the morning television talk. That's not that's not good for your health. No, it's not good for your health. But it was worth it because I really want to see Russell Wilson come back. So many people are sleeping on Russell Wilson. And I truly believe he's the guy and the starter for this. You've you've lived in that for quite some time and you continue to think it. You think you think it. And like we have to wait and see from Tomlin. But that if that was convincing enough then he Mike Tomlin watched this. And you think Tomlin is going to say you know what Akbar. You convinced me with that. That was poetic. He might fly you out that would be a huge compliment if Mike Tomlin did that Kyle I wrote a poem. It goes like this. Roses are red, violets are blue. The Steelers are in trouble with either of these two. That's it. That's all I got, listen, speaking of trouble, Akbar, listen to me, dude, listen to me. If you are staying up all night in in August, worried about the Steelers quarterback competition, there's a month around these parts called December where we're all just zombies, just looking for flesh to eat, to stay alive and trying to keep our eyes open. You can't be staying up all night now, man. The save that stuff. This is a long season, Manti. Talk about the Steelers quarterbacks. Oh I'm opposite of everybody I like Justin Fields I, I personally like Justin I've always liked Justin I think I mean Kyle Kyle talked about the New England Patriots O-line the Steelers O-line was just as bad. Like you're you're messing up fumbles in the first preseason game against the Houston Texans, the center snaps the ball without Justin Fields even looking. I was watching the Steelers training camp very closely when Russell Wilson was out. Justin Fields was balling like he was balling. All you heard from the training camp was Russell Wilson and George Pickens and that relationship I mean yeah, Justin Fields, that whole relationship and that dynamic just growing. And I think as a player he was balling because he didn't have to look over his shoulder and worry, coach, are you going to take me out of this practice. Are you going to take me out of the game? Coming from a player who's been in that in that situation, it's so different when you're in a situation where you're constantly looking to the sideline like, coach, am I staying in on this play? Are you taking me out next series when Justin doesn't have that type of pressure, he just flourishes. And not to mention you need a quarterback back there by the preseason. The way that O-line looks that can extend plays. Now Russell can do it, but he can't do it as well as Justin, who I was listening to a Steelers podcast about this and these guys started in on the elephant in the room is who wide Receiver two is going to be. And I was like, what elephant are you missing? How are you not leading this conversation with who your quarterback is going to be? Who is throwing these guys the ball? I don't care if it's wide receiver seven. This has not been resolved yet for anybody and it doesn't make any sense. What elephant what circus are you at that you can't like talk about this for 30 minutes straight when it comes to a Steelers conversation, I don't know if the rest of the team is good enough to hold up to Steelers teams in the past, it just was very I didn't understand it, Kyle. But I mean, have you landed on this because you just did an about face when it came to the Patriots quarterback situation? Are you tiptoeing into doing the same in Pittsburgh? I'm not tiptoeing on this. Take that. I love this glamorous West Coast Hollywood life. Jamie is living where she's spending her weekends listening to Steelers podcasts as she parents, her three young daughters. Jamie, you are such a superstar. What a celebrity. That's incredible. Staying true to yourself. Steelers podcast on the weekend Kyle I know I do and you do. And I love that you love it. Listen, this it's probably going to be Russ. He made a really good throw to Pickens. And what was genuinely like a head to head audition. I think Manti makes some great points. It neither one of these guys ran away with it. Neither one of these guys is blowing anybody away. Everyone's both faulted. Listen, I'm a bears enthusiast. We've been seeing for 3 or 4 years waiting for Justin Fields to make the jump. Never really has. Russell Wilson hasn't played terribly well in about three years. It's like they got in bed with both these guys and I get one of them has to be the person they're going to have to choose somebody. But it's like being at a restaurant and they read you the specials and you're like, I guess I got to get one of them. Just I'll take that one. I hope it's good. I don't know, I think there's a lot of trepidation right now for Steelers fans. And also same thing with the Patriots. Let's say they start Russell Wilson. Let's hope this doesn't happen. But halftime of the first game. He's got two interceptions and they're down 13 points. Are we already saying put fields out there and saying vice versa. It's not a real strong vice grip that either one of these guys got. It's a lot of unknown going into the season. It's not it's not a real fun place to be. The last time Russell Wilson was in this situation where he had a lot of haters and a lot of people doubting him is when he came in as a third round draft pick, you remember Matt Flynn was supposed to be the guy. Yeah. Everybody said, oh no, there's no way. But there's no way this short little guy can outdo Matt Flynn, who they just signed a bunch of money to. Well, you know what? I think he's feeling he's going to tap into that. A lot of people are doubting him, and I feel like Russell W
